hey so my mother( 45 )has asthama and also have all the symptoms of sleep apnea and we all thought it was assosciated with asthama only but now i think it is definately sleep apnea it is also in her gentic as mostly in my maternal side died at night with abrupted oxygen supply. So can u plz suggest me whom to consult and what tests should we immediately take.
It does. Dopamine and cortisol well let you know whether you are doing what you love or not. How many in this world who does have employment with principles of IKIGAI.
Dr.Warrier alcohol is very dangerous for kids my age(meaning the 17-21 year range)! I get the experimentation phase thing but still it makes them do crazy stuff with it! Do you think the idea of raising the drinking age to 25 and then also teaching them along the way about the effects of it is a good idea? It’s very hard for them to balance things like assignments, tests, and clubs already!
These are the people whom we should watch and follow in social media. These people are called the real real real social influencers. Thank you Dr.Pal I am a huge fan of you 😊
Dr Pal I was born and raised in the Philippines but have traveled the world immensely over the last 2 decades. My dad left our family when I was 9years old while our youngest was 8months old. My mom passed away at the age of 45. Til this day I cannot fathom how my brothers and I made it through life being orphans at the young age. I took advantage of my health by sleeping so little. I’ve always believed that life is short for me to sleep too much. I have only recently followed your channel and find great value in what you do and admire the humility you have. I can’t also believe how vibrant and young looking you are at your age. I hope and pray that you can reach more people and continue to provide amazing content. Kudos to you and your team! ❤
Everything was brought out because he was interviewed by a doctor like Dr. Pal our Gut man. Mental and Gut health go hand in hand like he said in his poem. Great interview
My grandmother born in 1917 lived 97 years 😊😊. I miss her. She did not have diabetes or hypertension. She only had bell's palsy once. Rest all happy and healthy. She slept and woke up same time, 0 stress, loved a lot, worked a lot, smoked tobacco. I wish I had her genes.
I'm sure that many who open this video would first look at the full length and have a bias to watch a movie or series over this. But, I would say they are losing on a lot of knowledge if they give in to their temptations. The level of details in the podcast is simply mindblowing. So informative and interesting, worth every minute of ours. Thank you so much Dr. Pal for all the education you give us. Sidwarrier, felt like no one could have done it any better than you
Wow wow wow... Who would expect two doctors could talk in such a jargon free and entertaining manner. Thanks Mr. Pal! You conducted the podcast very well....despite having so much knowledge yourself you were a humble seeker!
In this video it was mentioned that humans have to evolve to come out of the habit of watching two people fighting and attaining a pleasure out of it. I would say that we should evolve to watch two happy intellectuals in conversation like this and gain new insights that help us to improve as a person. Thank you Dr.pal and Dr.Sid, it was a pleasure watching this podcast ❤
The two BEST doctors join forces & what they produce is an absolute beauty of an episode! Thank you so much for educating us! Dr. Sid and Dr. Pal, you both are rockstars!!
My father always used to tell us - तुरंत इच्छा शैतान की इच्छा ....and now after listening to Sid....all makes sense. He told us to hold our temptation for eating something immediately.
This is one of the most wonderful podcasts I have experienced. So full of valuable information, yet presented so naturally, with so much kindness. Dr. Pal and Sid Warrier are birds of a feather. I have been struggling with my weight and love Dr. Pal's advice (Though I haven't really been doing daily fasting, sorry doctor,) but Dr. Warrier's insight into my own neurology is a game-changer. Please release a clip of the part about the Prefrontal Cortex and the Limbic system and habit building. Everyone who has cravings and fear of discomfort NEEDS to hear this talk. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
The brain and gut are long lost friends, one makes poop and the other makes sense ! They both work hard, they both need rest, they both are tired of the crap you ingest ! They both want the love that they deserve, they crib all day through the vagus nerve ! Whether it's food for thought or thought for food, you take care of one and the other feels good !
Dr. Pal you are a natural podcaster, no awkwardness, no hesitation and clear narrative weaved throughout the conversation which doesn't show breaking points where viewers could disconnect, truly amazing social skills
The past two hours on RUclips have been truly enlightening. I've been following Dr. Pal for a month now, and his insights have profoundly influenced my approach to food intake. Thanks to Dr. Sid, I've successfully managed to control my phone usage, which used to stress me out. Moreover, this podcast has answered numerous questions, shedding light on how our daily habits impact our overall well-being. It's been an eye-opening experience understanding the connection between our emotions and everyday experiences.
Interesting topic, I have personally overcome the depression of 10 years ended up getting addicted to smoking up, unwanted conflicts to many toxic friends and life was clueless and it took a steep , however I managed to realise and gathered myself back up with great courage, simply realising it was of no use, must watch for youngsters and other viewer's .!

One of the BEST videos I Have ever come across in my life! A BIG THANKS to Dr. Pal for even taking this enlightening initiative to create a podcast with Dr.Warrier. I feel so much AT PEACE at hearing Dr. Warrier tell about the limbic system , ACC , and the prefontal cortex. It feels so comforting to know that habits are much easier to form when we know the basis of how they are formed in the first place. Because, before i had just thought habits , discipline, motivation , etc were inherent traits of an individual like the color of the eye , youre born with it and nothing you can do can change. But i realise and see that everyone has the power to form and continue habits. Being a doctor myself , there were moment where I wondered why I had come into this field because it didnt seem fulfillint. But hearing both of you talk, i have regained that spark, and i cant wait to learn and to help others the same way you both are. THANK YOU SO SO SO MUCH ❤️❤️❤️

As a Neuroscience PhD student, this is one of the best podcasts I have ever listened to. Such a simple and enlightening explanation of so many important things. Thank you doctors
Thank you Dr.Sid and Dr.Pal for the wonderful podcast. The discussion about the prefrontal cortex and the limbic brain just blew my mind. I've already been meditating for more than a year without missing even a single day whatever be the situation. But I can't say the same about the other habits that I'm trying to form. This discussion gave whole new perspective of how new habits can be formed. Thanks again!
I’m considering myself quite well informed! But these 2 guys have given me a clearer understanding of what actually happens with our gut and brian … And importantly tips on how to get stronger with habit forming. Limbic and Neo frontal conflict is so real in my life as a working woman that cares for a multi generational family! Gives me so much to “ feel good” about the thought out meals one makes. Thanks guys!! Delighted with the quality of content.
The ending of the podcast with a poem by Dr. Sid was so wonderful.....happy to come across such people in your channels. Good job Dr. Pal for all the efforts you are taking for a better....present and future generations....👍👏
Pleasure listening to both these handsome and intelligent gentlemen. I used to binge drink every single day (i had severe mental health issues and trauma) for almost 10 years. I saw my journey from enjoying alcohol to how it turned me into a monster who fought with people unnecessarily, created drama, cried uncontrollably in the toilets of clubs and even worse things. I then developed gastroenteritis which is when i eventually stopped drinking. It was the best decision of my life. I have been off alcohol for almost 10 years now. As for Instagram.. I could totally relate to feeling depressed and anxious because of the constant scrolling. Ive now deleted the app and in a matter of 3 days i began feeling better. Thank you for this episode. Truly wonderful watch.
I love how you both talk and say scary things but in a casual "Pep-Talk" kinda way which neither scares people away nor make them bored haha....loved this content and i'm totally hooked to learn more....simple thing like proper sleep can do wonders to people's both physical and mental health...Thank you doctors.....looking forward for more.

great series - dr pal's attempt at being a host - *with his humorous remarks, personal experiences and without the false pomp and show of sophistication is remarkable* - we hope this style will continue as this series gains further traction. thank you. may I offer another suggestion - bring in more govt drs
That's an awesome podcast. When Sid speaks about the prefrontal cortex conflicting with the limbic cortex, I am reminded of another example from my own life: so, every time I had a desire to purchase something as a kid and asked my mother to buy it for me, she would always set a goal for me - like, score 80% + in mathematics, and I will buy it for you. Later in life, I never developed this bad habit of impulsive buying. My brain is trained not to waste money if that particular purchase is not necessary. This way one can also control mindless shopping, I think.
Wow , watching this podcast was the best 2 hours well spent in my life. Dr pal and Dr sid both are such great intellectuals . I really feel that was some conversation happened between a gut and a brain . Dr Sid really articulate meaningful words which makes proper sense and dr pal as always witty and makes sure even a layman can understand these biological terms by asking right questions and emphasize some complex terms to be simpler .
i clearly remember the day i got diagnosed with vertigo.. that was 2 sleepless nights after i drank a whole jar of bira (beer) with my friends in a night club.. thank God, i'm not with them anymore.. spiritual awakening saved me from these drama and trauma
I had this as well. For me, it was because of years of WFH and my bad posture. My nerves near my neck spine part were compressed. Took me a month of medicines to come out of this.
@@Rohit-rx5rz For me, every time I moved my head, used to feel the entire room was spinning. For the first week or so, I wasn’t able to move from sleeping to sitting position without support. I would fall back because it was spinning so much.

Man that concept about prefental and limbic. Was soo good...❤
i clearly remember the day i got diagnosed with vertigo.. that was 2 sleepless nights after i drank a whole jar of bira (beer) with my friends in a night club.. thank God, i'm not with them anymore.. spiritual awakening saved me from these drama and trauma
What all were symptoms
How did u prevent this now ? I'm still scared swift posture changes.
Awesome Conversation 🎉 It’s really great knowledge listening for especially people like me who have GERD as well as some ANS problems and on medication. I will follow the advice of both the doctors and try to bring down my medication. Thank you both the doctors. I’m really glad to watch the full podcast at a stretch.
