So much hard work but every single thing you do is so worth it! What a beautiful, tranquil space to sit and have a cup of tea. I love that you have so many different "areas" including a pond, shade garden, veggies/fruit, firepit, greenhouse, and sun-loving plants ALL within a smaller fenced yard! Just wow! With all of that said, my favorite part is your consideration for the hedgehogs, insects and, of course, Blondie

It's amazing how much difference just a year makes, your garden is looking so gorgeous! It's honestly all thanks to you for giving me the belief that I could do it, that started me off on my gardening journey...and well, now I'm a little bit addicted 😄 It has become the most therapuetic thing for me, I now have flowers and an abundance of wildlife that visit. At 67 y.o. in u.s.a. northern lower mich. Been gardening all my life, sewing, crafting, woodworking, you name it I do it. I found this video my fav so far. Your little garden turned out so beautiful. You made lovely use of every inch. Loved this video so much, so relaxing and inspiring. I feel our gardens are good for our soul. Love your sewing ideas also. I'll be watching. As always you are such an inspiration. Whether it's in the garden or in the house, I get inspired by you. Your garden is so beautiful. I agree with your idea of doing your garden how you want and not what others say. I had bulbs start blooming this week that I had almost given up on. 24 gladiola bulbs in pastel colors. Every couple days a new one blooms and I'm surprised by what color it turns out to be So far, peach, white, pink and lavender. I split my bearded iris last autumn and they went crazy this year. My veggie garden suffering a lot from a family of groundhogs that are eating them all. Everyone keeps saying to shoot or poison them and I'm just NOT going to do that. I'd rather share this year and put in better fencing next year.

I love what you've done and am especially glad that you share the work that went into it! When you're just starting to plan a garden and then start planting, it looks bare and you wonder if it'll ever look good & you're proof that it does! I'm impressed you're so young, single and own your own place! Keep up the good work :)

I got a new home, downsized last August. Had to start a neglected yard from the 1950's from scratch. You've been one of my favorite channels, Laura, Monty and PlantQueen too. My yard has come such a long way in one season and you've been a big part of the inspiration! Thank you for all you do!

Your garden is looking beautiful. You have done so much! I agree about the mulch. It has made such a difference in our borders. I love gardening, and keep at it even though as I age,and with arthritis it hurts...but flowers and veg are so worth it! I need to get out there and water.

What a transformation, so lovely. Being Irish never got the green thumb for gardening so I admire people who can.
Nothing better than sitting back with a cup of tea or coffee in the early morning with the birds singing and enjoying the beauty of the garden!....Blondie definitely loves your garden!....everyone should try gardening... it really is just making sure your plants will grow in the right zone and adequate light or shade and watering and fertilizing properly.

I loved watching your progress from start through the journey to the present! Gardening is such hard work but a rewarding one for sure! Especially when you get to sit in your resting area and just enjoy the beauty. I adore your hedgehog hole in your garden gate and I admire your willingness to just jump in and have a go at creating such a beautiful space!

I put in a couple of pollinator watering systems. For the littlest insects who might drown in a deeper pond. I just placed a couple of ceramic chargers filled with pebbles and water in my garden. Being Arizona, though, I get to fill them up everyday.
1) how the heck do you stay so clean?

I think you’d enjoy salvia shrubs. They come in every colour you could imagine. Cut back down low each spring when you see the new growth coming through and you get lush green growth and colour from March/April to October

You can put in a drip system really easy to cut down hand watering.

Excited to follow your progress! I'm also starting from scratch here in Scotland. I recently moved house and inherited a "garden" that's entirely covered with old broken slabs, just laid on soil. I've had privacy fences put up, started lifting the slabs to find heavy clay soil. 😫 So off we went to the stables to collect some bags of well rotted manure to start improving the soil.
Aw best of luck! Honestly, the work is the rewarding part, its hard but I love the process, have fun!

Hello from California, zone 10B. It's been awhile since I watched your videos. Your garden looks so beautiful. The hedgehog passthrough is adorable. After finishing up some unplanned garden repairs, I came inside, poured a cup of coffee and sat down to relax. Your video and soothing voice were perfect to unwind.
