- Bratislava is the capital and largest city of Slovakia. Bratislava is located in southwestern Slovakia at the foot of the Little Carpathians, occupying both banks of the River Danube and the left bank of the River Morava. Bratislava received its contemporary name in 1919. Until then, it was mostly known by its German name, Pressburg.
While most visitors who travel to Bratislava are just passing by, the city has much to offer, and it's worth exploring. Whether you're looking for castles, unique buildings, or quirky art, Bratislava won't disappoint.

I am enjoying my life in Eslovaquia - Slovakia. Just an amazing place to visit.
I am afraid, it is not Grassalkovich palace in Bratislava - the seat of Slovak prezident. This is it en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grassalkovich_Palace
In fact, it is really Grassalkovich Palace, definitely not in Bratislava, but in Gödölo, Hungary. It's a twin
Great information. Thanks
Thank you for watching!
Very interesting video, except one thing. I don't know what is that building, you showed in this video and called Grassalkovich palace, but this isn't that one.
Bratislava is a beautiful and peaceful city for relax.
Bratislava looks a great place! a little overlooked!
I went in 2010. I tell people if they want to go to Vienna, stay in Bratislava. It's cheaper and you can take the boat to Vienna.

Beautiful city
My advice is "do not go", you will be robbed blind by the taxi drivers in the airport who scam tourists on a regular basis, they are not even required to have taxi meters in their taxis. Some people are nice but the majority are rude with no manners or time for tourists. Complaining to any Government institution is like having a chocolate frying pan....useless. Go to Vienna instead, much nicer.
Have you personally been? If so when did you go and what exactly did you experience as a tourist I’m very curious to know
@@brizzle3903 yes myself and a couple of friends in August 2022, the taxi driver charged us 55 euro for a 5 minute journey, refused to give a receipt anyone we asked for directions or help just ignored us and waved us on. The odd nice person but the majority were rude, and bad mannered. I never want to see Slovakia again. Ever. That was our experience anyway.
@@patrickbruce187 hmmm good to know I’m going myself for just 2-3 days because I want to see what it’s like there, hopefully I won’t have a bad experience but if so then it won’t be anything new to me seeing how I’ve spent time in NYC, LA, and Chicago yeah they’re rude there as well 😂
@@brizzle3903 hope you have a great time, I am sure some of the people are lovely unfortunately we didn't meet them. Best of luck.
@@patrickbruce187 gotcha I’ll probably avoid the taxis 😂 I don’t like to get scammed at all

We still hate communists and russia
One of the most boring city in Europe
WRONG!!! Bratislava castle was burned down by Napoleon in 1812, was rebuilt in 60s. Devin was wrecked way before that.
