  • They look the same on the outside but the battery chemistry on the inside is what makes them different. Here is my Growatt 1300 review video (discount info below) • Get Started in Solar w...

    One major difference you missed is the fact NMC batteries don't like being left at high states of charge, whereas LFP batteries are happy to be fully charged.
    Another point missed is that the NMC based 1,500Wh battery is actually 1,512Wh while the LFP 1,300Wh is actually 1,382Wh, only 130Wh less (8.6%).
    Given the fact that the NMC chemistry doesn't like being fully charged, the 1,300Wh battery actually has more usable power.

      From my research neither chemistry likes to be fully charged. Both will degrade faster if fully charged

      Do your research LFP batteries WILL degrade faster if you charge them 100% every time. LFP batteries just don’t degrade as fast as NCM batteries.

    Point 1 and 2 are basically the same.. density one is energy and other is "physical" density

    • @solarguy
      @solarguy  Год назад

      On the cell level the density is usually measured in Wh/Kg so yes, there is that correlation. What I am hoping to point out is that when someone is considering a power station and these chemistries are a factor for them, these are the differences they would notice as they make comparisons. Thanks for watching.
