please now how can i remove something from one of the modes installed? like for example i want to use the translucent feature but remove the other other ones
Just wanted to say you don't actually need to click the sound icon to change the volume. Just hover over and scroll to change to volume, but still taskbar volume control mod makes it more easier
You can use PowerToys Fancy Zones for this. When configuring the "Space around zones" you can set it to -1px or more. Try with arrow keys if the slider doesn't work for negatives.
Having a 49" monitor the task bar all the way across the bottom is such a pain in windows 11. I miss being able to drag it to the left side so it doesn't waste so much of my screen. Being able to shrink its size will be helpful.
use startisback you can use it to put windows start to left side as well as putting it back to old style, like it was in win 8, there are more possibilities you can check, i am using windows x lite 10, its slimmed windows, they also have windows 11, there you have preinstalled startisback app. Personally i chose win 10 because it has better performance compared to win 11. Having around 60 processes after bootup, with around 2gigs of ram used. there is no bloatware, but still ez to install windows store if you use something from microsoft. Best optimized windows that i personally was in touch with is from xlite. If you are looking only for customizable start just download startisback or startallback depends on if you use win 10 or 11
Windhawk is great, except for... Task bar Styler Mod. This was not a problem with 23H2, but it, unfortunately, is with & since 24H2. If one is using multiple desktops, each with a different background, this is messed up with Task bar Styler ON. As you change desktops, they will 'flip' to the background of ONE of them. To prevent this Windhawk Task bar Styler Mod must be turned OFF/Disabled. But, that said, the OS itself can make the taskbar translucent. And... On the bright side... its Start button at the Left Mod did receive an Update such that it no longer overlaps the Widgets task bar icon 👍👍
We can change the volume using the MWheel while hovering on the speaker icon on the taskbar. But the feature to do that on the whole taskbar is pretty nice.
I don't really get the Improvement. Just because I can hover a few inches away and do the same thing, based on the amount of times I change the volume, this option isn't worth the time to install.
It's ridiculous that you have to download mods to get this kind of customisation. Plenty of these options should be in windows 11 by default. Microsoft has just developed so much contempt for its customers over the years, preferring to take more options away than useful new features added.
You don't if you use the settings you can do all this and even more if you know how to use PowerShell. Its because people don't want to learn new things and don't like change.

This is a wonderful program! I can't stand the Recommendations section of the start menu. It takes up too much space, preventing more apps from being pinned. I've been waiting for Microsoft to change this in an update, but it hasn't happened yet. And the taskbar was too high! This is a great customization program that took care of both annoyances! It was simple to install and easy to use. Thank you so much!!
Glad to hear the program helped you. The recommendation section of the start menu had an option to limit its recommendations to a single line, I don't even need that.
The only issue I find with the translucent menu is when you click to search in the menu, the theme reverts to normal and the translusent doesn't carry over.
Sorry, but this is a terrible introduction to Windhawk. You clearly do not at all understand what it does and how it works as seen at 13:25. No... Windhawk is a toolset and toolchain providing a C++ compiler and libraries. It allows to ad-hoc compile and inject the compiled code. That is what mods are. There is no verification by anybody that the code is not malware. The "verified" (at 2:29) is about the GitHub user. This means Windhawk is much more powerful, potentially then anything before. But it also means its potentially more dangerous. The onus is on you to protect yourself. Resource usage depends on the mods used. For Windhawk itself, is pretty low. Because it doesn't have to do much at all, post compiling. It has to run to host the mods, they do the work. Whatever that may be. 13:30 no... its not a bunch of Registry entries and stuff. It is code, compiled on your system and then injected into the target process. And BTW in Explore there is a button top-right (two opposing arrows), that's for selecting the sorting method.
i hope we will get translucent on file explorer as well soon in the future their is one that makes it (i.e. Explorer Blur Mica) but i was hoping it in windhawk
overall WIndhawk, in its current state, is a very lackluster tool, but that has more to do with the mods currently available rather than the app itself...

How safe is Windhawk? With so many mods out there, each made by different people, it's hard to keep track of them all, so it seems pretty easy for someone to slip in some malware. What do you think?
One thing I noticed about a few Windows 11 customization apps is that when you launch your PC sometimes it takes a bit for the customizations to load like a few seconds which isn't a issue but I was curious if it happens to Windhawk
