    another good one. tanks. For the yoke you can put it over the gunwale and use if it not screws, metal wire, if not, rope, if not shoe string. And put a wood stik that fit thight inside gunwales and yoke secured by duck tape or other.

We just went on a trip up north Algonquin to Radiant Lake on thanksgiving weekend and Eric and 3 other guys were the only other people we saw that weekend!! Eric the famous story - teller Hahaha Please if you still talk to him tell him about this!! Also, your videos rock, already subbed! Cheers guys!!

    Man, the exploration opportunities in the Noganosh/Mag region are just endless. Making a map for the region this winter and I feel like it's always growing. What's the parking situation like at Legrou Lake Landing?

    • @NorthernScavenger
      @NorthernScavenger  7 лет назад

      Backcountry Angling Ontario there is lots to explore! The parking was pretty easy. It was an open concept lot with capacity of up to 20-30 cars

    I always have a line or lines attached to the boat.. Bow and stern for long trips one end of the bow thwart for short trips. The lines are for lining the canoe,, pulling it up on shore, or 'dog walking' the canoe through shallows. I am old. There just ain't no way I want to bend over to hand a canoe through the shallows at the same time I am trying to keep my footing on a rocky stream bed. The rope attached at one end of the bow thwart allows me to walk along side standing up,,, just like walking your dog on a leash.

    us locals actually call that slide, "the slide" lol

  • @xnbomb
    @xnbomb 7 лет назад

    Oh, I thought the yoke actually broke ... but it was just mounted poorly. That's a pain in the rear, no doubt, but not as disappointing as when the wood itself snaps from age and use.

    I still can't get used to you calling walleye pickerel.. but at 10:38 you pronounced portage like us mericans do...
