For the record, Richard Lewis was a bigger “star” than Larry David at that point in time. Someone generally had to announce that Larry was co-creator of Seinfeld for anyone to realize who he was. Lewis was a very recognizable person.
Love your Sunny reactions, I think Curb is a very good follow up to it, one of the best comedies out there. You don't really need to know too much about this shows premise. Larry bumps into someone, they have an argument, he turns around and bumps into someone else, an argument ensues, rinse repeat. It's much more genius than it sounds lol
Richard Lewis was (RIP) very close with Larry, had been friends for ages, and in the scenes with just those 2 (from this very pilot to the last season) you can tell they are riffing and trying to break each other like crazy. The best part is Richard, as an actor, usually tries to "cover" his breaking by having his character acknowledge it somehow, while Larry just doesn't give a fuck lmao
Jason Alexander said that the key to understanding how to play a character based on Larry David was this little thing he did with his tongue when he felt slighted where he was trying to weigh between his insecurity and the feeling of being slighted to figure out if it was worth his effort to have an argument with them about it.
yo i am so happy yall are doing this show. very few ppl react to this and this is undeniably one of the best to ever do it. its up there with sunny in longevity and shenanigans. slightly different but still very chaotic. love it. i am strapped in for all seasons with yall
My first memory of Richard Lewis was him as the king in Robinhood: Men in Tights. Which you guys should absolutely watch! So pumped for the curb reactions too
Love that you're doing this!! My sister and I saw Jerry Seinfeld A few weeks ago. He was pretty funny and got into rants about stuff he can't stand. Afterwards I said he's turning into Larry David.😄
WOW!!!! oh man, you guys are the PERFECT reactors for this one!!!! I am psyched, I am for here it, I will be here every time you post it! ALWAYS love your reactions, and so it's great news to me that you've started this series. Let the cringe begin! 🤩
This is a show that I love but was oddly to stressful in long run. It was fun but so many of the arguments could be handle better that just makes me pull my hair XD
There was a sort of pilot episode before this which was an hour I think but it's hard to find if you don't have the DVD. Personally I think this was the greatest sitcom ever until Sunny overtook it. However this show is probably more consistently great.
I hate this opinion. Both Always Sunny and Curbed were amazing right out of the gate. I can't understand people who think the first season of either were lacking.

Have you guys watched Robin Hood Men in Tights yet?

Exactly this. Richard Lewis was a big name in comedy during the 80's and 90's.
Indeed. If you get the chance to see it, there's an _Animaniacs_ episode where he plays Noah pretty much as Richard Lewis, and it is hilarious.

Y’all are laughing BUT at the same time you’re too serious/uptight watching this. It’s relatable and comical. Nothing more. Relax..it’s all fun!!

Born in the same hospital too
True.. but isn't this a tad spoilery?

I like listening to you guys talk about unwritten social conventions, this show is going to start some great debates.
One of the great comedies of the century, can’t wait for you guys to experience it

Emily Post wrote a famous book about manners and etiquette.
"I CAN NAME SOURCES" , can watch this show forever and find new favourite quotes. Enjoy the ride guys !
YESSS YOURE DOING CURB
My first memory of Richard Lewis was him as the king in Robinhood: Men in Tights. Which you guys should absolutely watch! So pumped for the curb reactions too

Look at Dean over here losing a shit ton of weight 🔥🔥
Emily Post had books about manners and etiquette.
“What’s with the overalls?” They’re not overalls, they’re suspenders.
I think Richard Lewis said Himmler's ghost, so it's another nazi reference, but not one referring to Hitler.
Yessss!!!!! First always Sunny now curb your enthusiasm!!! My 2 favorite shows. I love this channel.
This is such a funny show, I love it! You can really identify with Larry in these circumstances he always ends up in, and it is hilarious!
Richard Lewis will always be addressed as "Richard Lewis" 😂😂
Emily Post wrote books explaining proper etiquette.

7:28 there were definitely PCs on desks in 2000 😂😂
Larry David is the real talent behind Seinfeld the TV show.
You guys are in for a treat. This show is so fucking good
Another great pick....hang in there with parks and rec....those eppys truly get progressively funnier
I can’t wait for you guys to continue this journey. And keep up the ASIP reactions too!
More of these reaction on RUclips pls.
Great Video :)
Crazy how the pants tent comes back around the the final episode
Curb, Sunny and The Office are my top 3 series to watch when bored or just want to put something on. Those are my go-to’s.
This is a great choice of show. The gang have mentioned that Curb was an inspiration for Sunny.
Oh my God. You guys have so much good shit coming. I'm almost jealous!
We need 2 per week on Curb!
As you watch this show, it relies as a rule on massive coincidences
It only gets better from here
Curb? Let’s go!
Oh yes! Been looking forward to your curb reaction. Takes a season to hit its stride though season 1 still good
Yes.....I love this show!!!!!!! I love this show more than I hate the exclamation point!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Richard Lewis had his own show in the 90s. Like a late night show.
Finally you're watching Curb omg
Great choice 👏🏻👍🏻😎🔥
Hey guys, you might want to check out the docu special Larry David Curb:Your Enthusiasm that came before the series.
@@12chapin we did. It's a patreon exclusive reaction 👍🏼
The characters in these episodes are infuriating lol
I usually take Larry’s side in most episodes because everyone else is being ridiculous 😂😂
to be fair to Larry the social etiquette in LA is kinda rediculous.
This is a show that I love but was oddly to stressful in long run. It was fun but so many of the arguments could be handle better that just makes me pull my hair XD
"How often is he gonna see these paremts. Just walk away."
Oh ho ho ho...

This is one of the saner episodes. The entire series is just Larry dealing with a bunch of nut cases.
The quality improves after the first season
This is a great choice for a follow-up to Always Sunny. Curbed may be even more consistently hilarious than it was.
Let the awkwardness ensue!!!
Blows my mind that Cheryl Hines is married to Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., US presidential candidate and brain worm host.
Normal cholesterol is 200 or less. 272 is pretty, pretty bad.
You still need to watch arrested development
No script in this show. Only a plot suggestion and everyone improvises.
I love Curb Your Enthusiasm! Larry's like the real life George Costanza in this show. He makes an issue out of everything and never lets anything go.
Gotta refill the mitzvah!

We did a reaction to the hour long original episode for our patrons 👍🏼
@@TheMovieJourney ahh well I better get on that then :)
Very much like “It’s Always Sunny”, this show’s first season hadn’t quite found its footing but gets much, much better.
I hate this opinion. Both Always Sunny and Curbed were amazing right out of the gate. I can't understand people who think the first season of either were lacking.
Stick with it! Season 1 is good but its not the best. It gets better and better
So have you seen this before or not?
Hendo hasn't seen it, Dean has seen some but doesn't remember much at all
@@TheMovieJourney Sweet, thanks. I was a bit confused by the Richard Lewis comment.
@twmctwmc we watched the original curb HBO special for our patrons before we started the series, so we got a good taste of Richard Lewis there 👍🏼
Get ready for more holes lol
too understand this comedy you need a brain
