I beat the original as just a wee baby child. I was so dumb then it took me about a week to beat oxide twice. Its crazy I can still remember the game! I'm really excited to play this remastered version!!
I love these new boss intro cutscenes!!! They add so much more personality to each boss. Love Komodo Joe's intro. He's suddenly so much cooler than he was in 1999. Oh and Pinstripe. He's still my favorite boss. He's awesome as well.

Both of them are flawless, but the remake gives them more personality that fits into the cartoony world of Crash, especially Papu Papu slapping his own men when he makes a speech.

And Papu Papu is actually a decent sport out of the bosses. He blames his loss on forgetting his breakfast and warns the player about how much of a threat Oxide is.
I actually liked the original cutscenes because they felt like something you'd see in a reality TV show, like the interviews they cut to. These new cutscenes have so much personality though, I absolutely love them.
Everyone assumes that she's some innocent little girl. Then she time travels back to WWI, gets her paws on a monoplane with machine guns, and proves her innocence with a killstreak that makes Snoopy look like a flight cadet. Of course she's going to race like she's going to kill everyone. I mean, how many missiles did she put into Crash during all the trailers?
These remakes are fantastic. The devs really put a lot of heart and soul into it. Seeing the bosses get their own cutscenes, the Nitro Kart tracks get reworked to make up for the lack of anti-gravity without altering the track aside from the graphics. It's beautiful.
I don’t know about you guys, but I feel like Crash Team Racing is gonna get more popularity then Team Sonic Racing! I mean look at these awesome cutscenes for the boss characters! (Plus voices)
TSR is gonna be absolutely slaughtered in sales and reviews. SUMO dropped the ball with Team Sonic Racing. Meanwhile Beenox hit a mother fukin home run with CTR Nitro Fueled, and its gonna be very, very well received.
@Blake V yeah, after playing CTR:NF and TSR I can honestly say that it's no contest. CTR:NF is a MUCH better game. Better mechanics, more content, better looking, more soul. TSR isn't a bad game, but it's not enough game or good enough game to compete. I traded in TSR to get CTR:NF and I'm glad I did, cause my copy of TSR was just gonna take up valuable space on my shelf collecting dust for the rest of time, let a local game store do that for me, lol

Thank you for this. I made the mistake of collecting all of the CTR Tokens, Relics, and Gems before I faced Oxide, so I actually completely missed one of his cutscenes.

I remember the Pinstripe race, if he gets the bombs while he is in the lead his bombs will often be like homing bombs and with bosses having infinite supplies it becomes quite a hassle. In short, drive like a pro and don't let him slip by you.
Ripper roo the most craziest character in the whole crash bandicoot games and also my favourite, i love his cinematic and his victory pose it’s the best, good work with the boss and well played prosafia!
God damn I loved all of the care and effort that went into this game. Even small additions like the jump in Oxide Station where the sound is absent are really nice touches to the level design to make the old tracks feel like new additions to the game. I thoroughly enjoyed playing through adventure mode and I’m getting ready to save my coins for the tournaments (mainly Spyro) for new characters. Aside from multiplayer, I’m getting ready to 100% adventure mode so I can get Oxide’s hovercraft. Just finished all purple coins for Fake Crash
I love how much more character these guys have in their animations. It's a key reason why I loved the recent remastered mascot games. Ripper Roo gets himself blown up and is unfazed. Nice to see he is still a complete loon. Chief PapuPapu is just a big ol dummy and gives us a bit of slapstick. Snake boy Joe is creepy as heck, even in defeat. And then we get whatever Pinstripe is, being suspicious and smug. There isn't much more I can say about Oxide, but I do dig his facial expressions. Also I found him a tad annoying in the PS1 version, and this one makes him a less so, so overall a welcome remaster. I even love how it's bookeneded with Crash eating a bird and then burping out the bird.

You're amazing against Pinstripe. His backwards bowling bombs while (he's in the lead) were like homing missiles and cost me 10 forced retries until i managed to distance myself from him. Papu is a close second because im not good at his shortcuts and he spams a lot his beakers a lot. Ripper Roo, Komodo Joe and Oxide weren't much of a problem.
Love the credits in this version, most especially with Coco taking selfies and waving, instead of just standing. No trophy girls, though but that's because they'll be playable.

Papu Papu's cutscenes had me dying of laughter for 15 minutes straight! I also loved every single boss fight! Facing Oxide was my biggest challenge yet. I didn't get the relics but i plan to. This is definitely an amazing game and remake!

Last time I've seen *Crash Team Racing* cutscenes on RUclips, the bosses were just all-talk. 👍 But now in the remastered, they have more graphic, more character, and more humor. 🎮
These cutscenes are awesome as heck! It gave the bosses more personality, Ripper Roo and Komodo Joe being my favorites. Btw for those who own the game, who do you main? Mines are Dingodile and Ripper Roo.
I don't really watch these videos that often but when I do it's always some guy who has no idea how to use the drift boost system, feels nice to watch a video without the constant urge of backseat gaming
Personality-wise, Oxide kinda reminds me of N. Tropy just because of their intimidating outlook and self-esteem. I also love these boss intros, though I'm sure you've heard that from several others by now.

God damn I loved all of the care and effort that went into this game. Even small additions like the jump in Oxide Station where the sound is absent are really nice touches to the level design to make the old tracks feel like new additions to the game. I thoroughly enjoyed playing through adventure mode and I’m getting ready to save my coins for the tournaments (mainly Spyro) for new characters. Aside from multiplayer, I’m getting ready to 100% adventure mode so I can get Oxide’s hovercraft. Just finished all purple coins for Fake Crash

I love how much more character these guys have in their animations. It's a key reason why I loved the recent remastered mascot games. Ripper Roo gets himself blown up and is unfazed. Nice to see he is still a complete loon. Chief PapuPapu is just a big ol dummy and gives us a bit of slapstick. Snake boy Joe is creepy as heck, even in defeat. And then we get whatever Pinstripe is, being suspicious and smug. There isn't much more I can say about Oxide, but I do dig his facial expressions. Also I found him a tad annoying in the PS1 version, and this one makes him a less so, so overall a welcome remaster. I even love how it's bookeneded with Crash eating a bird and then burping out the bird.

Exactly! They put so much effort into it by adding new maps from other Crash racing games, new characters and such.
So yeah, it's not just a 20 year old game, it's something much more than that! Bigger and better!
Seeing Komodo Joe makes me want him to appear more as more threatening villain than in Crash 2. Or one of those "interesting" ally (Because we don't know what happened to Komodo Bros. after Crash 2 canonically)

You're amazing against Pinstripe. His backwards bowling bombs while (he's in the lead) were like homing missiles and cost me 10 forced retries until i managed to distance myself from him.
Papu is a close second because im not good at his shortcuts and he spams a lot his beakers a lot.
Ripper Roo, Komodo Joe and Oxide weren't much of a problem.

Love the credits in this version, most especially with Coco taking selfies and waving, instead of just standing. No trophy girls, though but that's because they'll be playable.

Ikr! He is quite badass in his intro. And tbh, I think he was trying to go for his gun after you beat him, but he just couldn't find it in the kart so instead he went all "Ah, screw it" and decided to give you the key instead. Just a theory lol, that's the first thing that came into my mind

Pinstripe's voice is unexpected, but fits so dang well.
Papu Papu's cutscenes had me dying of laughter for 15 minutes straight! I also loved every single boss fight! Facing Oxide was my biggest challenge yet. I didn't get the relics but i plan to. This is definitely an amazing game and remake!

Last time I've seen *Crash Team Racing* cutscenes on RUclips, the bosses were just all-talk.

These cutscenes are awesome as heck! It gave the bosses more personality, Ripper Roo and Komodo Joe being my favorites. Btw for those who own the game, who do you main? Mines are Dingodile and Ripper Roo.

I don't really watch these videos that often but when I do it's always some guy who has no idea how to use the drift boost system, feels nice to watch a video without the constant urge of backseat gaming
Personality-wise, Oxide kinda reminds me of N. Tropy just because of their intimidating outlook and self-esteem. I also love these boss intros, though I'm sure you've heard that from several others by now.
