In this video we break down the iconic groove of Beat It by Michael Jackson, building it up step by step. This is groove is perfect for beginning drummers to get used to playing the bass and snare at the same time as well as adding in a syncopated (on the up beat) bass hit.
Step 1 focuses on the bass/snare pattern - the back bone of the groove. In step 2 we add eighth notes on the hi-hat. Finally in step 3 we add some crashes in places they tend to happen in the song.
