    Thanks for the walkthrough. Even as a small property on city water I appreciate the tour.

      @@cpagano8 it’s a complicated relationship with it right now or the flow sensor. Thing pissing me off at the moment not sure if it’s messed up or if I’m just trying to flow more water than my pump can do. Idk my pump is rated over what I’m trying to do and the pressure is there at the last heads in the zone! Don’t make sense to me being the pressure is there and the pump is capable of it. They are sending me another flow sensor to try. Irrigation controller is working really good though!

      @@Primetime_Fescue let’s hope that does it! I always geek over irrigation. I’ve been getting some quotes for a irrigation well at my house. My setup is 52 heads running mostly 4.0 nozzles on city. So as I’m sure you know that’s a expensive water bill! Also. Going to pick up a 2019 grandstand today after work. Getting rid of my walk behind so I’m pretty fired up about that!

    I am unclear why the setup would not accommodate running multiple zones simultaneously. 1 zone can't reach the total system capacity because it steps down to 1" and 2 zones together would exceed the system capacity. But if the heads for those 2 zones were stepped down so each zone only draws half the capacity, then both could be run simultaneously. That would extend the run time for each zone, but the total time to run both zones would be reduced as they would not be run 1 after the other.
    Does the 1.5" supply a manifold where it steps down to 1", or is it reduced to 1" and then split off to the zone valves?

    • @Primetime_Fescue
      @Primetime_Fescue  3 месяца назад +1

      From manifold to zones is 1” . Residential controllers have small transformers most are setup for a master valve and 1 zone valve. 1 zone of mine definitely reaches the capacity 7 rotors in the big zones 5-4.0 nozzles 2-2.0 nozzles that’s 24.19 gpm through a 1” pipe. Way more than 5fps velocity I would have to turn pressure way way up and pump is almost maxed out for those zones. I have a few zones with less heads per zone smaller nozzles that can be combined that don’t max out the pipe size or pump. Today I actually changed all the nozzles went down in size and upped pressure 5psi just to see if it would ease off the pump some. Should be barley overs 5fps velocity vs where I was right at 7fps

      @Primetime_Fescue  3 месяца назад +1

      Yes 1.5” supplies to the manifold which is 1”

      @@gilbes1139 well it was lol I had to up the run time being I went down on nozzle size today but still done away with 3 zones being I combined 3 zones with other zones. What I noticed when I was watering with old nozzles this morning looking at the real time flow numbers is the zones that call for 24.19gpm was only doing around 19 to 20 with 70 psi so that tells me to much friction loss through the 1” pipe and I wasn’t getting enough psi to achieve the 24.19gpm and I can’t on the pressure anymore running those nozzles because it the pump would be drawing to many amps. Hopefully reducing the gpm on the zones and slightly upping pressure will get me the gpm im supposed to be at being I’m just barely above the 5fps velocity now. Just have to see the next time I water. It’s a tough setup with a big property with a lot of heads per zone.
