Lawn Fertilizer That's FREE!!!

A lot of you folks may know this some may not but leafs from trees offer the same benefits to you as grass clippings so if you have a lot of fall leafs this could be added to your fertilizer program!

I never rake leaves... I always mulch the leaves making natural fertilizer that biodegradable fertilizer.

I agree with the mulching of leaves to a certain extent, I mean beyond my grass line I have 100 oaks, plus neighbors, I use a cyclone rake for cleanups.. if I mulched all of them I would kill my grass as it just wouldn't be fine enough. I will say this, the previous owner of my house probably mulched as my back yard has great soil. I do mulch some of the leaves, but it's maybe 10% .. just to much and to thick

I mulch them up when I can but sometimes they get to be way too much so I blow those and use them in my gardens. I got an oak tree in my backyard I have to clean off every single day right now!

Don’t really have a favorite I use Nutrite, Howard’s, Gci for granular. Just depends on the nitrogen source I’m looking for at the time. For liquid I use plantfood company.

I have a bradley 48-inch stand on mower. I just put mulching blades on it, and I have a chute blocker.
At what height should the deck be set at for mulching?

3” to 3.5” should work fine the suction will lift leafs up and will mulch them up
