Hi, I live on a hill side and moving yard trimmings and the smaller trees I had to cut out is very difficult. I was thinking about decomposing some of these branches and trunks using mushrooms. Material I already have is: 1) Crimson Buttlebrush branches, 2) Traveller's palm branches and trunks 3) Lots of succulents (including hardy aloe). Do you think my goal is achievable? If it is, what kind of mushroom do you suggest? I have both new and old cuttings. Any suggestion what to grow in oak leaves? Thanks.
I wonder if i do this to every where in my yard, and then later want to create a morel mycelium every where, will this create a problem for the morel, or these inky cap mushrooms species will die out when i fertilized w worm casting, or chicken manure fertilizer. some of my oyster slurries died after the application of animal manure or organic fertilizer, or inorganic fertilizer, the same. can i create a polyculture of mushrooms on any one place. does it mean mixing three different spawns together or spot implant them, or planting one on top of another species. thanks.
In my opinion it's better to leave the woodchip mulch on the top. Cuts down on weeds and prevents the soil from drying out. As well as slowly fertilizing the soil. If you till the soil the woodchips will tie up the nitrogen. That's just my understanding.
Excellent video and tutorial. Thanks for posting and taking an entire year to demonstrate the technique. Regards.
+buffalopatriot Thank you!
Really great channel. One of the best online for growing. Great information, thank you!

You can dilute in 10 buckets after the first 24 hours, to give them best chance and enrich the soil decomposition, use a 3% molasses solution.
Yes, great addition!
Where could oysters grow like this?
everywhere and anywhere
will this field be tilled once the soil is ready to use?

+Walter Garvey I agree,we feel it is best to not till in the wood chips and let them slowly decompose over time.
Do you plan to use this land to grow a crop of some kind in the future?
It will become a diverse food forest with interspersed native trees.
Awesome, mycilium is great for trees. Thank you.
from the voice alone, you'd think you're listening to paul stamets
+horlacsd His and thousands more combined along with much trial and error.
Worst 😂✌
