Your eco prints are so vibrant. Perfect for this project. You are so generous in sharing your prints. Thank you. Looking forward to this month as I am sitting outside now enjoying nature. ☺️
Thank you so much Nina, I really really enjoyed watching this again. Its just so amazing what you can do with a bit of packaging!!!!!!!! You've made two wonderful covers, that will be filled with wonderful pages filled with marvellous artwork too. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags
I save that wrapping paper too, my husband thinks it is just slightly silly but he admires the results. Love your beautiful journal, Nina. I’m glad to have a prompt that encourages me to use my eco dyed papers. I have quite a few of them in my stash. I love the contrast of this month’s prompt with last month. Last month was all about brilliant color and bling, this month the gorgeous subtlety of eco dying . Also, you have, over the years, added a term to my lexicon, so useful that I use it myself now “It’s a little bit fiddly.” So useful.
The wrapping paper is a lovely contrast to the eco papers I think as it doesn’t take away or overpower the beautiful prints. I love the natural flecks of interest it has in it too. Great for this kind of thing. Glad you like the total contrast to last month’s prompt. Both equally beautiful, albeit at completely opposite ends of the spectrum. I can now picture you saying ‘It’s a little bit fiddly’ in your Ozark accent 💕 x
@@NinaRibenaMixedMedia Actually, I sport a California accent... I never picked up the Ozarkian twang even though I've been here for 25 years. It's still very different, and unfortunately my inner myna bird causes me to mimic you and Kylie when I say that phrase. I spent a month inEngland when I was in high school and by the end of it I certainly had the beginnings of a fine British accent. Not very pure, as it combined both the "Public School" sounds and the "Cockney", which I already had a smattering of because of My Fair Lady. I think it has something to do with being a musician, this adoption of accents.
Love this💕☕ always inspiring!😀 I have the perfect corrugated box that came with some sheets as layering. I also saved some packaging material... I have lots of tissue that I have collected when I worked in a leather store in Italy. The purses were stuffed with gorgeous tissue paper.💕☕ I have so many ideas going through my head!🎶😉
Wow, what a beautiful journal cover Nina. I'm so pleased your sharing the eco prints, I'll be downloading them as they are stunning. I'm looking forward to seeing what else you have planned for this prompt, stay safe, Jackie x
Super covers Nina, I remember you making those prints. Wow, two years ago already. I have a box that will work super for this and a old book of Flowers that I think I will use as covers. Thanks for the wonderful inspiration as always. Have a safe and happy week.
Good morning nina, so good to see, that a simple box can turn in to a beautiful cover for a book. It is turning us to being hoarders( spelled right???) there are so many things waiting to become beautiful things. I remember you making the ecoprints and my own attempts to do so, it was so much fun, the whole kitchen covered in leaves, flowers and plants.. I look forward to your working on this prompt. Have a good week, stay safe, love lena xx
Good morning Lena. My garden is coming into bloom again and I’m itching to have another go at eco printing and seeing how the plants react at this time of year. Looking forward to working in these journals. Have a wonderful week 💕 xx
It’s so fun to see how you’ve made these. I have several of those Amazon portfolio style mailers-thanks for a great idea on using them along with other mailers.
Thank you for this tutorial Nina, I would never have thought of using a corrugated piece for a cover, but I see now it can be done. Looking forward to part 2 . Have a wonderful day!
Your new journal is fabulous, can't wait to see what goes inside, and if I know you it will be something spectacular. I'm looking forward to getting my head around the nature prompt, it's right up my street. Tfs xo
This is a great theme, Nina. It's going to be very popular I'm sure. Certainly I'm definitely going to follow you by making a journal because I've got some similar packaging to use as the cover. Many thanks!
Needed a Nina fix and some inspiration. I am making some new journals and had to revisit these. I got a printer, but hubby and I haven’t figured out how to get it working, yet. Once We do, there are going to be a whole new range of possibilities! Happy New Year! God bless and stay safe.
I remember your videos where you did the eco dying! The prints look great on these journals, just my sort of muted tones. Look forward to seeing how you continue to decorate them! Have a good week Nina 💕💫
Oh this is exciting! A new journal! And its starting out beautifully with those exquisite prints for your covers. Can’t wait to see what you have for us next week.

Beautiful. I love nature so definitely looking forward to everything this month's prompt has to bring. Love the fact that you're re-using packaging too. Lovely journal cover. Thanks for sharing 💕
These are great Nina, I really loved the look of the lace on the first journal, much better than the flowers. Can’t wait to see what you do with these 💜💜🇦🇺
Nina Ribena My sister has grapes and when she cuts it back I eco dye the leaves. They seem to form crystals that sparkle. I’m not sure why. Peony leaves turn a purple color. I love to experiment.
Nature is right up my street.... Ha ha!! I'm sure I can come up with something 🤔🤔🤔🤔❤️❤️😂😂 love your eco prints Nina. Great journal cover... I was thinking of doing a no sew journal anyway.... 😊😊😊❤️🌹
To get a little extra out of your inks put a couple drops of glycerin on the pad, let it sit for a bit. It really works! Btw I really like this project. I'm going to work on eco-dying this summer. Fortunately I live in a wooded area so plants are bountiful!
Thanks so much for this tip Joan. Mi will definitely do that 🤞. You will love eco printing. Its so exciting seeing the images appear when you are unwrapping your bundles. Enjoy 💕
These are lovely Nina, I've been waiting to see how you used your eco prints. I made some after seeing your video, gosh two years ago! Have used them in a nature journal, so one step ahead there! Lovely theme for May. Take care 🙂
