These pages are lovely Nina, the products from that kit are all beautiful, I really loved what you did with the orange flowers. And oh my goodness Louie is so gorgeous!! I have two cats, Gus and Tim Tam (yes I’m an Aussie🇦🇺) and Archie, a Red Cloud Kelpie dog, who all keep me company while the rest of the family work away on mine sites. I couldn’t survive without my pets. 💜💜
Thank you so much for the visit from Louie. He is just so darn cuddly. I turned up the volume to see if I could hear him purr, but had to use my imagination! Your projects were amazing. Tearing around the stamped frame was brilliant. Because it was a straight edge, I would not have thought of it. You are so very clever. I always love your work! TFS. I did. God bless and stay safe. P. S. I loved Dee’s tea died paper, but liked the idea of repeating elements. 😎
Using dried flowers is a technique I have not tried before. Going to give this a try and add at some point to our new nature journals. You showed a lot of other ideas to try. Thank you. 🌷
Thanks Devann. Here’s the link to another video I shared a couple of years ago that shows how to preserve and dry them Instantly if you are interested. Happy Creating ruclips.net/video/u9Ig0X7Sp3U/видео.html
lovely ideas to preserve the delicate flowers, the star of the show of course was Louie, I can tell he is well loved. Look forward to seeing him again.
How pretty this all is. I love all the elements, Nina. Thanks for a lovely video and it's a good job you were working hard when the 'foreman' came to check on you! :-D What a handsome chap he is!!
I have wondered before how to use dried flowers. Thank you for sharing the knowledge and tutorials. This is a wonderful way to use up the napkins and deli paper. I do like the napkin the best. Both are very very beautiful. Lovely way that then you can use the beautiful delicate flowers.
I understand putting things in a box and just hoarding the beautiful things from Your Creative Studio. I treated myself last year for my birthday and loved everything but made a new box of stationery and haven't used any LOL. Yes, still watching you although don't often write. Hope all is well with you and family. Mine are well up until now. No hols for you or me in Malaga this year. Boohoo Hugs Joy distant oxox
I love pressed flowers but have always struggled with mounting securely. So happy to have your idea of napkins. Love these pages for your journal. It is beginning to get chunky and filled with goodness. We will need another peek soon. Thanks -Marsha from Texas
Glad this has given you some ideas for preserving them. It makes them so much more useable. My journal is getting a bit too chunky and I might have to look at expanding the spine! 💕
Loads more inspiring ideas, thanks Nina. I caved and ordered a box but July was the first one I could get! Still will be a great surprise as I will probably have forgotten I ordered it by the time it arrives💕💫
Thanks Elaine. Did you recognise the Japanese book paper? I was so glad you sent it to me as the pages I had of my own were too small. Oh Louie is very much loved in our house and is loving having everyone at home. He keeps doing the rounds of all of us to get as much attention as he possibly can 💕😻💕 xxx
@@NinaRibenaMixedMedia oooh no I just assumed they were your book pages... Oh lovely and yes I'm sure Louie is loving all the attention he can get... It was lovely seeing him and being so happy. ❤️❤️😸😸
Another excellent video. Really love everything you create, Nina. It would be such a treat to see what Alex is working on. I love quilting & looking at fabrics. Of course, we always enjoy seeing Louie. Such a sweet boy.
Hello nina, nature provides us with beautiful colours and forms, only thing for us to do is look at them, get inspired and recreate, you made beautiful thingsxxxxxlove lena
Love how you mounted the dried flowers. The little framed pieces are lovely. This video was just full of information and inspiration! Of course, Louie was the star. Thanks so much for including him. Very handsome, lovely boy.
Gorgeous as always. Thanks for the bit about embossing with the Distress Oxides. Now I want to press/dry flowers, too. Don't you just love the way cats plop themselves onto whatever you may be doing? How dare we forget they come first! 😉
You are so talented and your videos have excited me to do more art. Thank you and I love everything you do. Your very enjoyable to listen to, even when sitting and putting on my make-up!
I always come away from your videos with a new appreciation for concepts. You do such a nice job of tying things together and making them make sense! The idea of repeating elements has always been there, but you made it a useful and sensible tool for me! Thanks Nina!
Beautiful! I love what you did with encasing the dainty dried flowers. Very clever! And stamping images inside the little "frames" was great too! Another lovely composition. Tfs!
I never get tired of watching your videos Nina , love the dried flowers 💐 with the tissue paper I will try that technique with my dried wedding flowers. Your embellishments are so cool too. Tfs hugs and stay safe xx
What a wonderful way to capture those flowers, I tried something similar when I first started art journaling about 6 years ago. I used Violas and I covered them in everything I had lol not knowing about this way, and they are still okay today, just starting to crack slightly now, but I still enjoy returning to them and they always put a smile on my face. Tfs xo
Beautiful! Thanks for showing how you use dried flowers. I have a flower press full and just didn't know what to do with them. Loved watching you create with your new things. Very refreshing....and a surprise visit from Louie too! Stay well ❤xx
Thank you so much Nina, I really really love 💕 all those things you made, and I throughly enjoyed watching you. That Japanese paper was absolutely perfect behind the orange flower. You’ll have to show us the quilts that Alex is making. Your journal is really really stunning and gorgeous with all those beautiful things inside. Stay safe and well too xxx Mags
Thanks so much Mags. Alex is making really good progress with the quilt he is making and will definitely get him to pop on and show it when it’s finished. I might give you a sneak peek of it in my next video 💕 xxxx
I just love your journal Nina and find it so relaxing and inspiring watching you create. I have just ordered my first box from Your Creative Studio and can't wait to see what comes in it. I notice from the envelope on the front of your journal that you are from Nottingham the same as me :) xx
The flowers are so much easier to use this way, and they look gorgeous on the mulberry paper. Glad you enjoyed meeting Louie, yes he loves the attention 😻😻😻
Thank you for the lovely inspiration, I will now be trying to find my box of dried flowers. I love how the napkin worked to protect the flower and still show the beautiful mulberry paper (I wonder if I have any left) All your lovely little ephemera and pages in your journal have me itching to play. Have a lovely day Nina, I look forward to Sunday and what beauty you will bring then.
Hi Louie! Not sure how you spell his name. Love these ideas for dried flowers. I’ve been wanting to try my hand with them. I love the collaged stamp pieces as well. Great ideas, Mrs. Nina!
Oh, so deli paper is waxed paper? I was thinking we didn't have deli paper in the US, but waxed paper is in our grocery stores in rolls or in sandwich bags so, "good to know".
