GT500 Mustang Passes 14 Cars… Earns Second Hard Charger Award… NASA Great Lakes - PittRace July 2024

The #3 MAP Data Systems Mustang was scheduled to start on the pole for the American Iron wave, but we elected to start at the back of the wave because we were not 100% sure that our shock sensor problem was fixed. We didn’t want to get run over in turn 1 again. Much to our delight, our Shock Delete Engineering (shockdeletes.com) simulators worked flawlessly and we found ourselves in a race.
Driving cautiously (our car was not anywhere close to normal due to the spin on Friday that tore off the front end aero), we worked our way through the field on fairly conservative passes, except for the dive-bomb in turn 7, and started looking up track for the familiar #042 Mustang. However, a car on fire would end the race under double-yellow. Nonetheless, we did improve our position by a race-high 14 cars, earning the Hard Charger award.

This is cool but it feels like Gran Turismo 8 (yes I know that hasn't been made yet). The map in the upper right, the status of things in the lower section, and the time on the lower right. As I said its cool but weird at the same time.
