Get's pulled over in a nascar, yet driving a car with a huge blower covering 1/3 of the windshield is no problem.

It will just start to glide on the thin film of water on the road surface (hydroplaning) without actually making contact with the road surface. Exact same thing as driving on bald tires in the rain...just alot worse. Drive wheels start to spin out...steering wheels...you keep going where your momentum carries you ie you keep going straight even though your wheel is turned to the stops.

@Bob Marley well, I try to see some things from the other side. I used to own a pro-street Dodge Dart and police used to pull me over because they thought it wasn't street legal, but it was. I think it was the wheelie bars and giant hood scoop and all tucked in M/T drag tires that confused them. So as a cop myself I don't pull people over unless they actually violate a law. Driving a race "looking" truck on the street is not a violation of law. Traffic stops are already potentially dangerous enough as it is, so why waste my time, and his on that particular traffic stop when he wasn't doing anything illegal.
I think it would be responsible to see what sort of person was driving it. You pull over someone and the just sound like they don't know what they are doing and are some yahoo - I don't what those people on the road with me.
@@edwardjenner1381 but as a cop I can tell you that it's not legal to pull over a vehicle just to investigate what kind of person might be driving it. That's a lawsuit waiting to happen. All traffic stops must have a probable cause reason for the stop. "I just wanted to see what kind of person might be driving this race looking truck" is not a valid reason to initiate a traffic stop. Plus it's a dumb reason to stop someone. There must be a traffic violation to justify the traffic stop, or some other valid reason.

I make 100% sure I have probable cause to do a traffic stop, or I won't do it. Like I said, it's already a potentially dangerous enough job already, so why do questionable traffic stops which might complicate my day. It's not worth it.

I detailed this truck before he bought it! Restored some of the stickers, removed the oxidation and restored gloss to it and put a layer of Ceramic Pro Sport on it! Was a fun job!
Also removed a bunch of scratches and oxidation from the windshield.

The roll cage is designed to absorb a hit, but with everything else working on concert.
Modern cars/trucks have airbags and "soft parts" interior to accept body parts hitting them, without the head restraint and helmet and what looks like a "kick down" removed from the roll bar, he's bumping into solid parts.
So by his own admission the cop had no legal reason to stop you. He didn’t even see the tire until it was pointed out.

May piss off some people here, but it's common behavior from cops in my experience. They love pulling over modified vehicles so they can "fish" for violations. I've got a 94 Ford Ranger Splash dropped 6/7 and I was stopped one night because the cop allegedly ran my vanity plate and said it came back as "unregistered."
I don't know how stupid he thought I was, but vanity plates are not issued unless they're _registered._ The only way to GET a vanity plate is via registration. The only way this could get mixed up would be if someone stole my plate and put it on a different vehicle. But even then, the plate would still come back as registered to me and my vehicle. If your vanity plate expires, it STILL remains in your state's system; so expired plates STILL come back registered to you.
I've been stopped numerous times in the Ranger, always for bull shit reasons. Another night, a road block was setup about 30 yards from my driveway. Pulled into my drive as I always do (again -- in the fucking Ranger), started to unlock my front door, and this cop walks up in my yard asking if I lived there. I suspect cops see a lowered truck rolling around late at night and immediately think, "drug dealer," so they pull me over hoping they'll catch me intoxicated, high, etc.

Its awesome when you have a genuinely good cop. That understands laws are made for criminals. And are not intended to make crimnals out of law abiding citizens. Its impossible to not break laws at some point .ever body does it at some point .technically 1 mph over speed limit is breaking the law. Following to close.not using a turn signal. Its very easy to break laws. And very easy for the cops that are bad to use them against people that are not crimnals. But theres plenty of good ones. @@Ckcdillpickle this isnt a real nascar and do you have any idea how fast modern police cars can go? easily 150+mph no problem. The new modern explorer based SUV police cars are pretty damn fast and go faster then that no problem. and thats just the standard model stuff, not even in pursuit mode. even if a modern nascar could outrun a police car, which sure, it probably could, not exactly a fair trade off, it wouldnt outrun a cop car that quickly and would run out of fuel and stuff long before the cop car would. do nascar get 24+mpg? These new police interceptors with 400+hp do.
