The last sentence of your comment will explain why it won't gain traction. The community is too busy flinging crap at each other about what death matches are supposed to be like (4v4 vs 4-1v1's) to play them
@@Blurgamer17 This keeps popping up but the only places where this seems to be an actual issue are Brawls and Death Match. Most people will teamfight in other 4v4s whether it is Dominion, Breach or Carousel. Map design in Death Match and Brawl is 100% to blame. More often than not it spawns players in pairs of 1v1s rather than in a pit where everyone has a chance to go at each other. This prompts players to intuitively 1v1 and creates that expectation that this is how the mode will be played. As soon as you create a mode where everyone's in a pit, close to each other, and objectives can only be accomplished by working as a team, the whole honor bullshit seems to vanish.
I used to follow the code for brawls , too. But i lost all understanding for it. If people want to play duels... GO PLAY DUELS I see brawls as an opportunity to warm up for big teamfights in dominion.

Thanks for the video Freeze. The Dominion series was starting to peak my interest this year, but had no idea how or why people did rotations the way they were. Having it clarified helps me so much more in understanding tournament plays and strategies.
This is why I so often find myself playing WL, Kensei, or Cent. The vast majority of players have no sense of strategy at all and will stack 4 assassins while only going for kills and wonder why we lost. I don't want to have to constantly run top tier characters (my favorite char is actually HL), but I feel I have to constantly babysit my team with a solid pick if I want to have a good time with the game and not just eat shit constantly.
Here’s how to win casual dominion (the type of games 99% of the player base are having): Control B. He who controls B controls the universe. Most of the match will be spent with A and C being contested and generating no points for anyone. During this time, the minion lane is the only point actually accruing points. Even if you end a match on 2 kills and 11 deaths, you’re still likely to win the match overall. This is based on four years of consistent testing, a year of which has been documented on my twitch stream (which I won’t plug here since I’m trying to give a genuine tip and not just promote myself).
I always use your content to learn more and more about this game. The fact that you can convey this information about rotations so clearly is just astounding! Respect brother, keep up the amazing work!
I think For Honor should have a tutorial showing, clearly, what are the rewards for winning. And have good rewards, scavenger crates and salvage to use in transmog come to mind. So that people want to win besides just fighting
I can confirm, you don’t really have to kill anyone to win the game. I decided to do a total meme one game because everyone was so chill (a rare occurrence). I stood on a point and did absolutely nothing. I didn’t die once. I didn’t get a single takedown. I either boosted or stalled the point. I got top of the leaderboard somehow with my team winning a 3v4. I label this as my greatest accomplishment.
Thank you for explaining this, man. Your videos typically have at least a small impact on my MM so let’s hope we are looking at more competent teammates soon!
While to some degree I always understood the actual strategy mechanics of Dominion, I was mostly still one of those players that didn't really think about it until I saw an actual chance to change the course of the battle, otherwise I was pretty quiet to my teammates. If I wasn't telling my teammates what to do, I was doing a vicious respawn cycle of going from spawn to whatever zone I felt like at the moment. Sometimes, I got lucky and was able to hold a zone for multiple little fights and even pulling off an anti-gank every once in a while (though very rarely). I guess it mostly has to do with the mindset you have when going into the match, if you hype yourself up and get single minded, you will probably lose (aside from lucky wins). If you stay calm, and actually keep an eye on the battlefield while you are waiting to respawn, etc. you might figure out an actual plan of attack for the next time you respawn. I suppose what I'm trying to say is: "Don't get cocky, don't focus on a single detail (in this case, a single player or players on the other team), instead, focus on the bigger picture. Look at dominion as if it is an actual battle that requires strategy and wit to prevail."
Now the only thing I hope is that people turn their brains on when they hop in a match. Cant have a Vanguard boosting zones and a Heavy clearing minion. The other thing I wish for is different materials on different body parts. Keep it up bossman 👍🏻👍🏻

I've encountered few players who can appreciate the strategy involved in FH's gameplay.

When you are facing a triple cap it would be best to send 2 players to each zone. The openers given are solid, but are bit on the defensive side. Dominion is a sector control game mode. Putting pressure on all three zones is strategically better. A simple 1 2 1 approach. 1 2 1 opener beats a 1 3 opener. The enemy zone would be contested which of course means they will not be generating any points. The two players mid have options. Hold off the 3 players until the boosting player comes to their aid(This leaves the 1 2 1 team is a good spot as they are now the only team generating points reliable) or break off of mid and help the contested zone. Its not even all that fictitious that the 2 players mid could feasibly beat the enemy 3 stack. The Boosting player can help mid or continue to boost or creep block.
