I know the feeling and it’s really tough when people don’t understand what it’s like. Just don’t lose your wife getting caught up in that hole of thinking you’re completely alone. I destroyed a great relationship I had cause I didn’t even try to tell her anything I just sank further into the trap of thinking I was alone and nobody cared when I was the one closing myself off and creating the issue.
**Btw not implying ur doing any of what I said, just an experience and a difficult realization I made when I was going thru the same type of feeling you described. And maybe it can help someone who reads it before it’s too late like how I learned

That’s why I refuse to ignore my children for social media or because I’m too tired after work, they didn’t ask to be here I brought them here and they are my responsibility. I love being with my kids. It’s the only thing that brings me joy anymore.

In order to become talented (nobody be a tool and parse words on this) not you,anyway that generally takes alone time..which tends to be that way for a good portion of relationship building years...sometimes people move on from a friend or companion that has less time than they'd like..it becomes and end of the game musical chairs situation...I have little time for new friends...I also realize there are great people looking for a friend or more and yet..I just dont have room for one..that takes away from my attention to my existing friends/ GF..which means the last chair is taken..even for a good person who could potentially be a lifelong friend

Only learned this when I spent a year on my deathbed, and almost died. Was really angry for a while at how everyone who i thought had my back weren't really there....Over time when I accepted that we're all truly alone and always will be, it strangely improved and strengthened my relationships with just about everyone. Strange.

The feeling of nobody wanting you even in the outermost layer of their circle is the saddest part of being lonely.
There's a place for all of us. We are a social species. There are others like you, and you just need to find them. Sometimes you have to go out of your way to find them, sometimes they find you and you need to be able to recognize when you meet your kind of people.

My dad left when I was 2 and my mom got into an abusive relationship and so my grandparents raised me. I felt like this my whole childhood. My dad didn’t want me, my mom didn’t want me and my grandparent felt burdened by having to raise me. I felt like no one had me. Well said Theo.
My parents divorced when I was 4 , by 7 dad had remarried & worked shift work so I didn't get to see him on his fortnightly weekends , the step mum & her kids weren't nice to me at all so I didn't want to go there anymore . Around the same time at 7 yo my mum kept me home from school & we caught a train into the city to a H&CS ( health & community services now called DHS / CPS ) I sat in reception while she went into an office & when she came out she walked past me not looking at me , I got up to follow her & was restrained from behind by social workers spending the 6 years in a group home / orphanage . My dad & mum visited me twice in that time but grandfather visited often & was in court trying to get me but back then it was hard & I lived with him from 13 until he passed when I was 18 , he was disgusted with my father his son .
I still don't understand why or how I wasn't wanted by my parents 20 years later , mum was an alcoholic & prescription pill abuser ( not always , not until after divorce ) but I don't think it's an excuse . It was a sterile & lonely place that home .
