    The boats were a nightmare that day Dave, I had a great first hour before two crossovers wiped me out. Had to scratch around for the rest of the match for tiny fish, leaving me fourth, to the end pegs and you. Keep the videos coming buddy.

    We have the same problem on the Thames mate.Watching the lycra clad young ladies run by.You turn round and the tip is usually springing back and its another bite missed lol

    flippin hek dave, that was a frustrating day with all that traffic. but its great to see an angler like you at the top of his game. so many thanks from all us out here in tube land. looking forward to the next one. by the way, did you put any feed in your groundbait? regards mick jakeman.

      Cheers Mick, on the initial feed i put some squatts and hemp in 3-4 of the balls and the rest goes in with no extra feed. When topping up i tend to put some squatts in, occasionally I'll feed groundbait loose to see if that makes a difference.

      Fished the Bridgewater lots over the years. Last time was a winter league semi final with the Fosters Tipton team, we won it.

    Just great local videos Dave, can't believe how much ground bait you use, do you attack every canal match like that?

    • @davebrownfishing
      @davebrownfishing  2 года назад

      Cheers mate, no i don't attack all canal matches. It depends on the peg mostly. If i don't think it's a good peg then I'll attack it to try and draw fish in.
      Also if there's loads of boat traffic then I'll definitely get through some groundbait as i believe most of the feed gets washed away when a boat goes by.

      How do you know/decide whether it's a good peg or not ?
      What about a peg on a peg/canal you've never fished before ?

    Good video again Dave !
    The power of ground bait eh
    What’s your mix Dave ?

    • @davebrownfishing
      @davebrownfishing  2 года назад

      It was definitely needed with all those boats mate! My mix is Sonubaits Black roach, Black and a little Black river, the river is for extra bind.

      Cheers Dave !
      I know what you mean with the extra bind.
      I’ve used senses for years but recently switched to spotted fin dark canal mixed 2 to 1 with dark roach. Catching a lot better, especially on canal that tow like the staffs
