    The taper on the inlet of the exhaust housing for the Hitachi turbos is probably to do with the turbine wheel design, with the intention being to speed up the flow (forcing it through a smaller opening) and direct it at the outside of the wheel first. In theory that smaller opening is made up for by having a longer, taller lead in to the turbine to not compromise overall flow, all of which (at a guess) gives efficiency improvements. Speaking of the RHB4, I've got plans to eventually hang it's younger version, the RHF4, off the side of my Cappuccino. The more modern design should help keep the response reasonable, and a standalone ecu should help in that department too. Oh and C1 Kit?

      The k6a Cappuccino (Ea21r)?
      It would be the same video the only difference being that the ea21r comes standard with an ht-06 instead of an rhb31.

    It's off topic a bit, but I'm going to ask here because I get the impression that you will KNOW: will fuel injectors that physically fit an F6A DOHC fuel rail and manifold interchange with injectors the physically fit a K6A? I'm asking because I am aware that injectors that physically fit a Mazda Miata fit and work well in F6A applications. They are therefore cheap, available and well documented with respect to flow and other specifications. I have a K6A and would like to fit them, but I'd like to make sure that's likely to work.

    • @GarageKei
      @GarageKei  Год назад +1

      Do f6a sized injectors physically fit in a k6a? I don't actually know.
      Being that the f6a CC value is too high for a K6a i'm not sure why anyone would have ever tried that specifically..
      Monster f100 kit injectors are 295cc
      Monster k100 kit injectors are 260cc
      If the injectors are cheap, as you say, then give it a try.

      I found this:
      EA11R
      スズキ品番:15710-64D00
      静的噴射量:210cm3/min
      コイル抵抗値:13.8Ω
      EA21R
      EA21RのK6Aインジェクター
      スズキ品番:15710-73G00
      静的噴射量:222cm3/min
      コイル抵抗値:8.6Ω
      The coil resistance values are different. Does that matter? I don't know. Probably....
      You mentioned that Miata injectors fit and work well in f6a applications...
      From what I read miata
      "1.6 injectors are 230cc. The 1.8 injectors are 265cc"
      Those are too small for an F6a if swapping turbo. You want 295 or bigger.

      @@GarageKei This is all super information I don't know that I could find anywhere else, so I am really amazed and happy you've responded to my question! I had read references to 295cc (f6a) vs 260cc (k6a) but not the sort of references I would trust without corrobaration, so now I know for sure. I actually have a K6A and have the correct N2R ecu for it (1998 "late" HA21S Alto Works), so I believe I'm looking for roughly 260cc injectors, though I've read posts written by people who at least believe they are using 300cc injeotors with the same (N2R K6A) setup. Purple Miata injectors, part # 195500-4060 are 265cc, so they have the right flow, but I only have confirmation that they will fit F6A. They are visibly the same shape and size as other injectors for F6A so that makes sense. I will look at resistance--I don't think K6A are "peak and hold" but maybe they are, and that would be a big difference. If Miata injectors would work for my K6A application that would obviously be helpful, as I don't know of any source for Suzuki Sport K6A 260cc injectors. Given that Miata injectors are known to work in f6a applications, this page may have useful information for f6a tuners.--if they work i K6A too, then even more so: miataturbo.wikidot.com/fuel-injectors

    • @sspoelma
      @sspoelma Год назад

      Also the tuner, whom I know personally and ran Miata injectors (or an injector he knew would work based on Miata cross reference) in his F6A, may not have been running the purple injectors, simply recommending them to me as being in the correct range. He is also running standalone management.
