Although to be fair, if the Kids would use the bathroom at night or would get up earlier than the parents of the parents want to sleep but the Kids watching a movie or even just if the parents want to have some privacy... the double bed really wouldn't make much of a difference🙃
If they have 6 kids living in a trailer, the last thing those people need is privacy.

Hey I got an idea. You know how you had that series where you only used one pack to build stuff, well you could do the same but using two packs or rather two aesthetics to build something bizarre.
For example, a Vampire Beach House or a Horse Ranch Restaurant.
Horse ranch restaurant is just Wood Ranch Barbeque, definitely not the weirdest combo lol
Werewolf restaurant. Sometimes the staff just loses their chill.

Another idea would be to just have two bedrooms, each with two bunk beds. Very apocalypse bunker-y, but it would allow for more living space.

@@Itzrenaynay you could even increase the number of appartments and have the lot from the outside look like a park or maybe a bit post apocalyptic (like a junk yard) and then underground is where it's at
@Itzrenaynay I really want to try using the increase unit cap cheat to build a fallout shelter, and put most of the existing households into it. I mean, the base game sims all fit into 99 with 1 or 2 to a unit, so if you have 99 units, minus the landlord's unit, to work with, but you can put an entire household into a unit, you could fit a lot more of the preplaced households in than just the base game ones. Designing standard units in several configurations and then allocating them as optimally as possible, while managing challenges such as pets, babies and toddlers, future proofing for those babies, dealing with odd situations such as the Caliente household (need four beds and at least three separate rooms, do not need kid stuff despite that number of beds calling for that usually) or the various groups of roomies... that might not be fun for a lot of players but it's the sort of old school management game stuff that I love. If a spreadsheet needs to be made, a lot of people aren't having fun but I sure am, lol.
I wish that the new pack included tiny home perks for rentals. I'd love to build several tiny houses on one lot but I want my sims to get the extra perks like in normal tiny homes

15:17 for kayla and anybody else who needs it: you can change which side the ladders on bunk beds are on!
when you select them in the build menu, there’s a gear on the side just like kitchen counters, and you can pick to have the ladder on the left, right, or both sides :)
The space theme room is ironically the room with no space 😂

Like most people I hate how big the San myshuno apartments are and usually split them into two, but strangely while building in advance of this pack coming out I've been mostly making large apartments now that I can (soon) build my own on any lot. Literally today i built large 3 bedroom 2 bath apartments with full kitchens and dining rooms, I can't wait to actually play in them
But apartments in san myshuno so small 😅...

5:54 actually i like the staircase this way, when exiting the apartment you wouldn't need to watch out for someone coming down the stairs, if it rains it would protect you when exiting or entering, and you would have some storage for outdoor stuff underneath!

micro apartments don’t usually have a full kitchen or bathroom. usually just a mini fridge and microwave and 1 sink. then on each floor they have a shared bathroom/shower room and a full size kitchen. that way each room is typically a lot cheaper than the normal housing market.
hi simsie! bunkbeds can be edited the same way that you edit custom counter shapes :) so you can choose which side the ladder is on. id love to see you do a series building apartments based on each world! or some grungy college apartments using the basement treasures kit

I’m not sure if all of the bunk beds have it but you can pick where the ladder goes it works like the kitchen cabinets when you want to have a corner cabinet or an end cabinet

The customization is really cool, but everything is so similar to how it works in City Living, that it kinda feels like this pack should've been included in City Living in the first place.
I would never play with a micro home like that for so many sims, it would just be an exercise in frustration for me, but something like that on a big lot should be very lively like you said and that's exciting 🥳

I've been using Tiny Living furniture for YEARS and I swear I have NEVER seen the dining table before
You could probably skip the bush, move the entertainment center closer to the porch door, and then have barstools at the counter and skip the table & chairs. Also, you could use the smaller entertainment center or make a custom one that takes up less space.

I do like seeing multiple Sims living on the lot. Does make it feel more lively. Easy to make Sims meet other Sims in the shared spaces.

*pats shoulder* There, there. I suck too. I'm trying to rebuild all the base game worlds but they're marginally better than the originals.
Practice. Lots and lots of practice. I used to be a terrible builder, and I still wouldn't call myself very good, but it's a lot easier for me to make something I like now that I've been trying for years.
Recently with the apartment park I have loved making tiny living spaces, mostly because my lots right now aren’t very big so I love adapting and splitting the houses into smaller units
I’m downloading that apartment building as soon as I get off work!

did the floor tile not going to the edge of the kitchen and not lining up with the wall tiles extremely bother anyone else or was that just me 😂 If i had all the packs used in this I would download it just to fix those 3 squares of tile lol. i am so using this for my master game so I can move townies into it and use townie houses for custom characters. this is genius
You can do all of the bedrooms as a 3x2 on the window side then line the kitchen in a 6x1 and enclose the bathroom in a 3x1 on the non window side. That way each bunk bed gets it’s own space and all of the bedrooms get windows!

I lived in a complex like this that had 8 units across 2 stories. They had them numbered like the first story was 11,12,13,and 14 and then the second story was 21, 22, 23, 24.

Bunk beds have ladders that can be changed to left, right or both sides, and you could have kept that smaller room tiny by flipping the bed around and making the ladder accessible
I like the small bedroom much more with 6 tiles, but you could've just switched the direction of the bunk bed for the ladder to be on the other side ;) Love the building process though, well done!
Are roof gardens possible on sims? Because with a flat roof a roof garden and seatinf/community area is a normal city thing and a great use of space!
You’d probably need to use planter boxes/pots but yes it’s possible
