I use to use a ring one.. but when life gets busy... The happy planner has helped alot to make it easier for me. But I'm glad you are loving this
I have been using planners since the 90's before planning became "a thing" :-) started with Franklin planners and Daytimers (which by the way inserts also fit the Franklin planners) and have used Carpe Diem and the Happy Planner. I love the ring bound planners, more durable and sturdy than disc bound, the pages flip smoothly...I am back in my Franklin as of July, (switched from HP) the leather covers last forever, I have Franklin leather covers that are 20 years old plus that are still in good shape! Franklin simulated leather planner love line is GORGEOUS!! And newsflash!!! Teresa Collins recently announce a collab with Franklin coming out in August! Carpe Diem have ring bound planners and bundled sets at $10 bucks!!! 75% off, they are also high quality and will last a long time....so if you are considering making the switch to ring bound....you will LOVE IT!
Similar story here. I started with Franklin Covey ring planners in the early 90s. Within the last five years, I started with Levenger discbound, ARC, then Happy Planner mini, classic, and big. In 2018 I went to rings with a personal and pocket Filofax Malden, A5 Carpe Diem, then on to all sizes TN inserts for the past two years. Now I’m back into rings with personal and A5 Gillio.
Dont know if anyone gives a damn but if you are stoned like me atm then you can stream pretty much all the new movies and series on instaflixxer. I've been binge watching with my girlfriend for the last couple of days =)

I just discovered your channel and I really enjoy your planner journey. I've been trying out similar planners, but I did splurge on a Gillio personal wide for my main planner. I'm setting up a Moterm pocket too. I like your organizational systems.

Welcome to a whole new world...yes, there are so many ways to find what works for you! It is so funny that people feel there must be some kind of peace with just one system. I find the flexibility to use what helps me function well helps me keep my family first and everything else has its place (in my planner) and time! I enjoy your videos. I enjoyed this video because I have been going down the ring rabbit hole now also. I still have my HP planners, but I haven't been using them. I don't know why not. I am going to make my pocket ring my EDC and everything I need planner. Thank you!
I too, fell in love with my leather cover and have been trying to LOVE it. But most everyone has disc planners! Hard to convert. Thanks for all the tips and ideas!

I am also a rings girl since my Franklin planner in the 90’s. I use A5 Kikki k and cloth and paper. Minimal planning is so clean and classic looking.
Loved your video! I thought in the beginning when you didn't like the personal sized inserts that you would ultimately end up with the B6 sized planner. I just recently switched to B6 and I am in love!

I have done bullet journal, rings & discs...I’m seriously thinking about doing rings again for next year...I’m in HP right now...I have inserts I’m going to try for July & see if I’m more satisfied??? July will be a test...
Carol Sailer I am on the lookout for a ring cover. Been hoping and praying to find one on a good sale or thrift store. My husband and I have chosen to follow God since COVID and I am a new stay at home mom/wife. So rushing out to buy brand new is not in the budget currently.
@@beth_faithful_heart have you ever heard of a store called Daiso? Its a japanese store but they have some overseas stores. My local store just ipened back up and they had some nice A6 six ring binders. Im gonna buy one next week for a personal planner (basically something thats fits better in my purse)
I have been a 6ring planner girl since I was 17. I just couldn't get into the discs at all. I have cut down all Happy Planner products to use in my A5.

Thanks for sharing your experience! I have a Filofax croc in both personal and pocket sizes if you are interested let me know. I have switched to digital so I am no longer using them.

Thank you! One question: why didn't you do your new size and insert ideas in discs instead of rings? If you explained that in this video I didn't catch it. Is it cause inserts you like only sold them punched with holes and didn't offer a disc-punched option?
Also with two planners don't you need to write a bunch of things such as calendar items twice?? That sounds like extra work to me so am curious.
Hi! I started using rings because I loved the leather agendas offered for ring planning. And as far as rewriting I do write twice certain things but to be honest I love writing so much that I don’t mind. The act of writing is so relaxing for me. I hope this answered your questions 🤍
It doesn’t matter to me if you switched to Ring planner. As long as you’re happy (with planning). 🤗. Although you remind me of myself when I started with HP @ 2 years ago. Bought a bunch of stuff (lots of accessories for the planner) 😅 but did figured out along the way to manage things that I really really wanted or needed. 🙈🤣💜💜💜

This is perfect timing because I'm doing the switch as well from planning in hp mini and classic. I do have questions regarding printing inserts though! Like what paper to use, which whole punch and which paper trimmer basically what you need. I'm planning on getting the rapesco hole punch because of some peoples recommendations but I'm stuck on what trimmer to get.
Hi!!!! I’m actually making a video sharing my tips next weekend. I bought a paper trimmer from Michaels and use 32 lb paper. When I get home I can share the brand. I also plan on sharing tips for cutting paper because I messed up a few times 😉
Yes I was excited when you said you'd make another video on that! I had a few mistakes cutting inserts as well.
Which moterm cover will fit on the classic happy planner is it the a5?
The A5 is the Junior size (7 discs). Classic (9 discs) is perhaps a B5 (=bigger, but not 'regular' size for the metric system).
Classic HP won’t fit in an A5 Moterm. It’s not A5 size - it is about the size of composition so close to B5 size. But I don’t think Moterm makes a cover that size.

i like Filofax but their rings are too small for me. i need at least 30mm. their planner are around 20-25mm =(
I have a great one with Franklin covey, 7 rings 2.5” ... It’s a great leather binder! But, you are limited it you want all the cutesy stuff.

Pamela Boxall No I haven’t. I can’t get past the discs. They remind me of the coins for the game machine at a carnival or something. Just a personal preference I guess. Tokens for prizes or something 😂

I got a cheap arc disc planner from staples, bought some copper rings, and a leather cover. Its very fancy and business looking now. Once qurantine lets me go back to work im gonna by disc puncher so i can use water color paper.
