The disc system is great, but you are right about the paper movement. I simple put washy tape over my little mushroom holes and re-punched; especially if I plan to use that particular sheet over and over. You pointed some good pros and cons and I thank you. I made a quality decision to love my discs system, reinforce the sheets I want to keep using or viewing over and over. By the way, nice nails, manly looking nails. I wish I had nails and I am a girl. My just never seem to grow. Blessings!

Brilliant video ! Thanks for doing this .. I've watched countless videos that don't even come close to your thorough analysis and explanation.
Perhaps one day, someone will make adhesive disc hole reinforcers...as they do for the ring hole system. Would help to reduce the deterioration that occurs with removal and replacement of pages.
    All the best...

Thanks Jools! I'm not here to sell something but to try to provide warts and all reviews so that people know what they're buying, so I do try to be as thorough as possible. It's nice when that's noticed!

A thorough, concise and eloquent comparison, thank you very much. Worth 10 other videos.

Now, there are portfolios to cover disc bound Planners to make them look more like Filofaxes. I have a softolio from Levenger and I'm in love with that cover! Great, thorough, video!

Thanks! The problem I always have with Levenger is that they only supply their products in US sizes. The disc bound planners I use, such as the Staples Arc, are European sizes (A5). I wish Levenger would consider releasing their products in international sizes - I'm sure that would increase their customer base significantly.

Using larger discs increases the amount of paper you can fit in the discbound system. So they’re not as limited as you think. There are many different disc sizes available now, among the many different brands. Also, you can address the “cheap paper” issue by using washi tape or clear transparent tape along the edge and repunching.

i really really love my filofaxes. and really really love the disc system. the disks are so versatile for making your own notebooks, big or small, landscape or portrait. softcover or hardcover. my smallest is 3.5 x 4.5in using 1/4in discs its the perfect lightweight stealth notepad
