I’m 60 and wish I could go back to school also , I love school and all the supplies ! I love walking my little grandson into my old grade school , the smell brings tears to my eyes , you can smell crayons, the wax in the gym and polish on the wood , it’s hard to explain ❤️

Jeanne 1 Omg, I adore you for this comment. The older I get, the more I reminisce on my childhood. I miss taking my niece and nephew to school. You can go back to school. Even if you take one class per semester. When I was in college, there was a lady in her 50s, in my sociology class. I admired her so much.

Such a good idea, im only 6 minutes in and i feel silly for spending all this moment on planners that are never perfect, or dont have enough room. and i usually stop using after a few months.. this is perfect :)

lol yep every year i do it, and always promise il use them.. then I find a better planner thats 'more suited' lol but at least with this idea you can make it exactly how you want. :)

There is something so satisfying about writing, especially a brain dump, on a full-sized sheet of lined notebook paper with a pen that feels good in your hand and writes as smooth as butter. As a retired homeschool mom and Sunday School teacher, I still have and use 3 ring binders for planners, for recipes, for those little freebie craft sheets you get at the hobby stores, my medical papers I get from my doctors, for my family tree, Documented Faith, prayer requests, my "I Did It" checklist (works better for ADD persons like myself), doodles and poetry, appliance papers, take-out restaurant menus, phone book, travel brochures, sermon notes, artist trading cards and pocket letters, and any other loose papers that come into my house. I love that laminated rose petal dashboard. Very pretty!
I love school supplies. As some people like clothes or shoe shopping, I love stationery supplies. I could spend hours in an office supply store. 😀 This is a good system. Thanks for sharing.

Let me just say, your not alone. I love when its time to go back to school so I can shop too. My kids are older and out of school but I cant resist a cute notebook, or cute pen, with that said this video was great and gave me an idea for when I start working again to keep things organized..Thanks so much for sharing..💕🤗

MissMissy72 Yes mame! Sometimes I just buy supplies to give to children I don’t know. I always buy my youngest niece, the cutest supplies I can find. I don’t ever want her to wish for things. I couldn’t always get everything I wanted, but my mom did the best she could. I was always happy.
Wanting to go back to school isn't strange at all. Think of it, we went to school for 12 years of our lives! More if you went to pre-k and K. It was something that we did every year...then one day it just stopped. Some go on to college but even that ends one day. To me Back To School season feels like the beginning of a new year and end to an old one. Even though it's not our calendar year.
Zach&Hannah M. Love these comments about going back to school. Two things: 1. Love this video!!! 2. After completing my masters I’m thinking on studying music. Like pursuing a BA in music production. Most people will mock me because not only do I want this badly but also my doctorate in Psychology. (Not to be a licensed therapist) isn’t it interesting how people make you feel guilty for wanting to learn? For all of the learners out there just do it. If you’re going to pay for the classes, if you are committed, if you have the drive and passion go for it. I actually didn’t tell many people I was going to pursue a masters after my BS but when I finally did oh the jealous people. I cried and felt guilty for wanting to be educated and my love for school. This video has inspired me to organize everything both in my personal life and professional life. Thank you!
I never want to go back to school again. Even if i could turn back time. Even if I was reborn again. I had to deal with soo much bullies, including teacher. Im insecure because of alot of ghings that happened to me.
But i like to organize my life thats why am watching these type of videos.
I love the "brain dump" page for pre-planning! I, too, am a school/office supply freak, and although I love my Happy Planner, I'm considering trying the binder idea. Nice job!

I'm also a school supplies lover! I've raised 4 girls, and just loved getting all their school supplies every year. Only one of them inherited my love for a new binder with a fresh pack of filler paper in it. They're all out of school now, and getting their own college supplies, but I still love buying it for me. So I've been making a home management binder, home made planners, etc. I love an excuse to get cute supplies lol And I'm 48! I LOVE how cute and pink yours is.
I loved this idea and I had printed out some binder planner pages in July but wasn't sure where to start. I bought a pretty binder and supplies last night and created my planner watching this video at 1am. I love to color so I found a great great color page and colored it and put it in the slot as the cover. I have an affirmation journal as well that I'm decorating too.

I love that you kept your organization practical, but also added your own style and made it unique, and cute! It's little things like that which makes planning the days out that much more fun.
I never even thought if doing this. I love my kikki k planners but I do get really frustrated with never having enough space to write things. I can use this method for university and store my notes from lectures and section them into modules and also keep my day to day calendars and to do lists. Genius! I just made my own system in a binder and notebook paper, too. Made my own calendar pages, put washi tape as monthly tabs, and made a 2019 year at a glance out of mini monthly, blank sticky notes from Target dollar spot, and decked it out with matching seasonal stickers, (love stickers, too)👍 I couldnt see spending lots of money on something trendy, so I made my own.👍
This is actually a super great idea! I might implement this in August when I start university. At the moment, my teenie tiny planner meets my needs because I really only have to schedule a few lines for homework assignments and my daily to dos, but I’m already stressing out about the fact that I’ll have so much more to do and just need a bigger space once I’m on my own and in university. Plus it’s a perfect place to keep your syllabi! Thank you!

Ahhh watching this made me happy! I'm obsessed with stationary and I always miss that feeling of a new back to school pencil case and new note books - I'm happy to hear I'm not the only one! I think I'm going to give this a go, I've tried all the to do list apps and nothing is ever as satisfying as having it written down in something truly personal to you. Thanks for sharing! Debbie
This is what I used to do before I discovered The Happy Planner. They do all the hard work of putting this together for us and we just have to decorate. PS love the rose petals.😊
I'm also obsessed with school supplies, mostly pens!!! I love going to Staples and walking around the store with my imaginary school supply list (mostly pens and spiral notebooks)! I'm a case manager, so I take TONS of notes!!!

And now I have a 5 year old that’s starting kindergarten in September and I’ve already bought all the stuff on his supplies list 😆 and I wanna go buy more for myself! Yes! So smart. I started making my own planners about 5 years ago after I hunted for something I liked plus affordable. No luck there. So I made my own. I really like the brain dump page. I have a brain storm page, I guess that would be almost the same thing. Anyway, I think that's a really good tip. I love decorating and creating the pages. Thank you so much for sharing this with everybody. I have turned down a few requests for a homemade planner but I think it should have their own mark on it and the creation should come from them. I am going to share your site with them from now on(I just came across your site accidentally.)because your cover looks very professionally done. I think that's what a lot of women want. Feminine and professional looking. I cover mine with material, paints, drawings, and lace; it looks good but not professional. Anyway, Great ideas and I will definitely pass on your channel to all my friends and family and those who want to know more about organizing their life. Yay someone my age who loves school supplies. My family does not understand my obsession. Prior to having kids I always shopped during back-2-school sales. Now I fight over my supplies with my girls. I love your binder it’s beautiful. Unlike you I could never handle only using the front of a page😬😬😬 lol

Thank you for doing a video using a binder for a planner! I sort of started using a binder years ago for a planner, but never really finished it. A binder is so much easier for me than the smaller planners. Thanks for all the tips (especially the dividers!!!) and pointing out that someone else likes the large binders! I'll finish mine now using several of your techniques.

When I went to college and had free printing (up to so many pages per day) I printed out calendar pages and assignment pages, etc and made my own binder planner. Now that I know so much about planners and planning, I would make a seriously awesome, best ever planner/bullet journal. (Alas no printer currently)
I used this clear folder that had a slide type clip in the middle to hold your pages in that I got from the school bookstore.

It’s so nice knowing I’m not the only one who obsesses over school supplies. I just started using a bullet journal but I’m using a big three subject spiral and it’s nice having a lot of room but I think after I use this one up I’m going to use a binder like this because it’s hard not being able to move papers around or if I think of something else I want to put before something I can’t because they are stuck in that spot. I have always loved school supplies as well and also looking at office designs and ideas like on magazines or online. I don’t understand why and have always felt like I was so weird because of it. Watching your video and also from reading the comments I realize I am not alone. What a relief! 😅

Thank you for showing an affordable option for those of us who are planning to buy the LV GM agenda in the future. I've tried every planner out there and it's so difficult using an Inkwell Press or Erin Condren because it's practically impossible to customize it. This planner is so beautiful and affordable! Omg! Both my hubby and I joke about how much we love the stationary, pens, pencils and crayons etc. Those back to school things are so fun! I loved school as a kid and I still do! My hubby didn't like school as a kid too much but he's very artsy and loves writing, etc.

I’m in to school supplies as well for whatever reason. Today I decided that I wanted to turn my journal into a planner! So here I sit looking at videos for ideas and I definitely enjoyed this video!!
