#Aptera #Tesla - Авто/Мото
The best interview ever. Thank you Kim, you also made some really good questions that some of us had and no one asked before, I can't wait to get mine 1,000 miles aptera version.❤❤🎉
You can wait for a 1000 years dude! Well done 👏
@@dangr3957 a thousand? 😅
If you can't wait then for your 1000 mile version then you are in the same boat as those waiting for their 400 mile versions. Each year it is another year wait. Sounds a lot like waiting for Fusion electricity. Aptera needs to bring those front wheels in. I love the looks and tech of the Aptera but those front wheels need to be re-engineered inward because they are the only thing keeping the big investors from committing. At least, that is my guess.
You block those that just want to have a honest conversation, so what’s the point!
@@ModernNeandertal 🤓 They've explained that wide wheel stance is part of their "secret" to their low drag and thus high mileage. If you pull them in the drag goes up and the mileage down.
love their attitude towards right to repair and sustainability. Wish there were thousands of apteras on the road
Agreed
Yep. The modularity and repairability should steal customers from Tesla.
Louis Rossmann would approve!
@@datachu Go Louis !!!
You can't repair something that doesn't exist.
“prototypes are easy. manufacturing is hard.”
these guys finding out first hand. wish them luck.
should sell it to tesla they know how to manufacture and who needs model y if you can buy this one
I gotta say Kim, I have been an Aptera fan, investor , and reservation holder for over 2-1/2 years now, and I think this has been the best, most comprehensive, informative, and down to earth interview I have seen so far. It continues to reinforce my belief in Aptera’s mission, my trust in Steve and Chris’ leadership style, and my faith in the future of the company. As a fellow Accelerator investor, I am pretty confident that some time next year I’ll be one of those first owners driving an Aptera on the road. I absolutely cannot wait for that moment to become a reality. Thanks for bringing us a bit of your experience through your channel.
Thanks for the kind words and for supporting.
They are living high and mighty on investors money
@@vanderumd11hardly. They're spending investors money on production tooling
@@GoClimbARockEh why miss all the release dates? Guess you believe in kickstarters lol despite the fail rate
@@vanderumd11 guess you can't evaluate startups despite plenty of evidence lol
I had a reservation in 2008. This is one of the best videos on Aptera I've seen.
And more than Videos you will never get.
I had two reservations, one for the e and one for the H. I did not have much faith in the electric only and wanted to be sure between the wife and I that we had a car that will take us anywhere there's civilization and beyond. I was not sure which one would get built first either.
I had the pleasure to tour their plant from their first go round in 2008, got to seat in their H test vehicle and met Chris when they were looking for quotes for their production tooling back then. I thought the design mimicked Adams Aircraft but now, using sheet molding compound....They are way beyond the tech they were going to use before. The Aptera is pretty much going to be a forever chassis. This is leaps and bound beyond the Cyber Truck (yeah got one on order there as well).
Best case scenario is to have the Cybertruck for the wife and I the Aptera. I love my MS but would trade it for an Aptera in a heart beat.
Just think. In 10 more years, you might actually get one. 😂
@@vic321344 lol, what? Looks to me like they're making progress, with the right team these should not be hard to make, at all.. it's much easier to build these than it is a basic Toyota Corolla.. Lithium skateboard battery pack, electric motor, controllers, and some parts/suspension, all of these things are very widely available already, they're just making their own of everything to fit their specific application. That's probably the same thing you said when Tesla's were first starting to be produced too, and now they're making liking 4000 - 5000 a day..
2008? And you still happily waiting... 16 years man.
I love how this CEO celebrates the EV leader Tesla instead of hating on it; clearly due to the fact they are targeting a market niche nobody has ever gone to
Chris Anthony I think was the one pushed for the Tesla connector to be the North American Standard connector which others are now falling in line on. I frankly don't know why Elon has not just whipped out a check book and buy Aptera and promise to keep Chris Anthony and Steve Fambro on as the CEOs.
These guys are genuine. They are successful in their field but felt the calling to create something great and pursued it ... twice.
I had the pleasure to tour their plant from their first go round in 2008, got to seat in their H test vehicle and met Chris when they were looking for quotes for their production tooling back then. I can't wait to get into mine. I can say this, if this does not happen this time, I will have to steal your idea Anthony and Steve, I will have to carve out some foam and make my own version. At least the H like the ones I had my deposit on the first time around. Trust me when I say, I'd trade my MSLR for a 1000 mile range Aptera today given a chance.
As a manufacturing engineer with 36 years experience with composite manufacturing, if I lived within 50 miles from Aptera, I'd leave my job today to come work for Aptera.
Chris owns a Tesla and Steve owns a Bolt!
I wish tesla took them more seriously maybe he just has a lot going on. But this is what tesla is missing. Real Efficiency lol people want alot of mpg it's cool to go to 0 to 60 in 2 seconds but people who drive teslas drive like 40 mph lol on the hwy lol😂. They market yo an older market young people care about speed older people care about efficiency cost and mpg . When I heard twenty years ago about tesla this is what I expected. Nice job the car look like a cute fish 🐬 . Teslas is not interested in cars it was just a means to an end .

Smart people see the value in Tesla, not use emotion to judge their CEO antics.
Kim, thank you so much for your Aptera coverage here. I posted a link to your channel to Reddit. I placed the 42nd order, was an early investor, and am a volunteer brand ambassador who spent many years in the industry.
Investor and res holder myself. Nice presentation, and I am also encouraged. That said, I want mine NOW!
We are all impatient. I am old enough that I could run out of time. However, I am still encouraged about the hope this gives for the world that comes after we are gone.
If I was in the US I’d definitely have one. Hopefully a slightly narrower version will make it here to the UK.
This car doesn’t need solar
It just needs a 2hp engine generator setup to charge the battery.
@@MrCountrycuz I helped introduce a small variable speed HVDC generator to the US Army that my company developed after Desert Storm. It was well received for the time, but that time has passed.
@@MrCountrycuz yup, sort of like locomotives, pretty efficient method.
The shape reminds me of a dolphin, so naturally I want my Aptera wrapped in Caribbean Blue.
Great interview, Kim. Thank you. I am an investor too (#113) visited on Valentine's Day, got a test drive and now I just can't wait to drive ours home. I'm more confident than ever that will.happen...soonish.
Best interview with Aptera ever. Being licensed as a motorcycle also means you don't have to have a front license plate which is required in many states for cars.
Who cares of having one or none ? I see almost only advantages of having one (too many idiots on the road, plates force more responsible driving).
The only real disadvantage I see is a bit worse airflow.
@@pan6593 If you think having front plates makes ANY difference in responsible driving, you are mistaken.
Many states require a motorcycle license ..... so something to think of.
Yes, but insurance companies will quickly catch on and charge a premium because it's an Aptera. You can't win against insurance companies. It's like Charlie Brown kicking the football.
@@EricHaskins71 Fortunately for me, I've had my motorcycle license since the 70s. 😉
Thanks for the metric sub-titles for us in the rest of the world. Appreciated. We're a res holder. We are in Australia, and not in a capital city. I like the way Chris is thinking about us.
Investor and reservation holder here. Mine will stay in Florida to capture as much sun as possible. I hope they have enough money to go into production.
I doubt that will be an issue, the question is whether they'll be able to produce them at a profit. That's where everyone but Tesla has failed so far.
Once these get on the road this company is gonna blow up. I can see these being the most popular vehicle in places like southern California where gas prices is high and electric prices are high
Currently, I drive a MS. Daily charge is about $2.5 but it's not just the $2.5 the act of actually have to plug and unplug. I know, not a big deal but better just to come and and drive away. Suposedly they will also have self driving or at least equivalent to autopilot.
I was disappointed when they went away as I held two reservations in 2008 for their h and their e. That was the worse refund I've ever gotten.
I recently changed my 1000 mile all wheel drive reservation to the Launch Edition to shorten my wait. I wished they did like Tesla and build the most expensive trim first. I'd hand over the pink to my MSLR today to take my Aptera home....but I can wait a year I guess. 400 miles is about what my MS is rated. Plenty good for most of my road trip with only one stop.
I agree. My wife and I still drive our 2001 Honda Insight. Aptera will improve on it in every respect. The AWD 0-60 acceleration is better than that of the first Tesla Roadster. We rode in a prototype in 2021, and it is amazing how much fun these are.
I was following Aptera the first time around - was seriously thinking about putting down a deposit on the hybrid version when all the craziness went down and they liquidated. Reserved the 600 mile as soon as it hit my radar again 3 years ago. Recently changed to the Launch Edition as I ain’t getting any younger lol.
The next “people’s car” like the VW Beetle. This will be the “Aptera Fly”
@@sailmehome1 Aptera Dolphin
Everyone wants to win the lottery, but I honestly wish I could win enough to invest and push Aptera over the point they need to get right into production. I'm convinced these things are the future. And the CEO was right to praise Tesla. Without Musk using his financial power to just bulldoze his way through all the problems and issues involved with bringing a mainstream EV to market, companies like Aptera would be trying to exist in a vacuum and would inevitably fail, like it did the first time. I really hope they're able to overcome the last few financial hurdles and start putting Apteras on the road.
i love this company and vehicle, but i don't trust anyone until they are deep in production hell. good luck Aptera, i hope you grow big and stick to your principles
Best interview about the progress of @aptera yet. I can't wait to see these wild cars on the road!
Glad you enjoyed. Thanks for watching!
Aptera is a motorcycle, not a car.
@@vic321344 Neither it’s an autocycle…. regardless what’s your point?
@@vic321344 He has none.
@@gr8dvd Vic has given documentary evidence in prior comments on other sites. Autocycles are indeed officially considered a form of motorcycle and not a type of car. Own it. But it doesn't matter, because this one isn't ever coming out.
I am an Accelerator, with 100% belief in the Aptera. Validation of the claims made about Aptera are just around the corner, and once proven, money should flow into them. Aptera is a gamechanger, and an advancement that 5/6 times more efficient with energy than the Prius. Cheapskates love the Prius, and gearheads will love this vehicle too. Environments will love it too, so, the appeal in fact is huge.
Yeah, I think they need to seriously consider if they will be able to scale significantly beyond their projected 20,000 a year run rate.

@@Sony-ox7wx Almost 50,000 pre-orders now. Our present car is a 2 seater, and we have owned others, including 2 wheel motorcycles and have around 1/2 a million miles on them.
@@n.brucenelson5920 Aptera is dead on arrival
I know Aptera is taking so long to get to production but it seems like it's worth waiting for. They've been pushing for NACS to be the defacto charging system and look at how that turned out to be.
The problem is when they run into issues will they have the ability to fix what inevitably will come up. A supplier can go out of business, they won’t have the capital to buy their way out of that and keep running. If they have pack failures or fires they could lose their insurance.
They need to find a deep pocket partner excited about their success and willing to take the ride. Chris needs to go on a few dates with Mackenzie Scott (Bezos’ ex).
good luck with your waiting...lol... don't hold your breath...everything points to "IT IS NEVER GOING TO HAPPENED" time will tell how it will turn up to be...but it doesn't look good.
This is just about the best Aptera vid I've seen yet. Can't wait to get my Aptera!!!
I love the respect for right to repair from CEO. I do understand why Tesla’s service centers don’t want people but I think it’s really shitty, so much I started repairing Tesla’s and other EV’s. Apple did this and made millions but tesla will be forced to help customers if enough people fight back 👊
Aptera was smart to join the NACS before there was NACS. :) I love these vehicles and want the company to do very well. So cool! Good interview. Thanks!
NACS happened because of Aptera! They pushed Tesla to open the connector as a standard and petitioned Congress. They got permission to use it 6 months before Ford.
@@n.brucenelson5920This!
@@n.brucenelson5920 I guess my prior response got deleted. Aptera was smart to go with the Tesla connector as part of their original design. Insomuch as Aptera helped get NACS going, huge kudos! I'm a fan of Aptera even if I probably won't buy one (never say never).
NACS cannot drive.
Their cost is so low that an Aptera and a house outside of the city makes financial sense. I don't see it as my primary vehicle but as a second commuter vehicle that can fully charge from a 110v outlet it would make me less hesitant to live farther away from work
Yeah, I just hope it's still competitive once Tesla's compact model is out, since it's looking like they'll both be hitting production at similar times and similar prices.
I don't see how they can make this car for that prize. A lot of expensive materials and hand made parts. I will believe it when they delivered all the reserved cars.
@@weorldedit The materials really are not very expensive. Materials such as carbon fibre and titanium are actually very easy to get and don't really cost very much. There is more labor which is expensive.
Had a picture of the original gas powered aptera on my wall for years was so disappointed when that went bust I always said it should be electric, careful what you wish for. Invested and reserved. This is the best interview to date, good to see progress. I know for sure this car sitting on your drive even here in UK getting 20 miles a day "free" is going to be the hook to sales.
I just wonder what the insurance will be on it. I hope it would be low, but I seriously doubt it.
These guys clearly have their finger on the pulse of what progressive thinkers are looking for, if they can deliver I can't think of another company I would consider buying a car from and it makes the cyber truck look like the Ev for dummies.
This is so cool! I love the suspension components and the relative simplicity of the design. For someone that drives 100 miles a day, I could see myself in one of these.
I'm a reservation holder, can't wait to see these begin Production in late 2024 and into 2025 ~ ! Rock on Chris & Aptera Team for seeing a vision through, despite nearly 20 years of development ~ !
I do hope these guys make it as manufactures. Love the car and love the philosophy of self repair and make it reliable. Make sure you do a right hand drive version.
I hadn't seen it, until he explained Aptera is Greek for "wingless flight", and then there was a shot of the car with the doors open, and now I can't unsee the solar-powered plucked chicken... 😬
I was really pleased to hear mention of Right-to-Repair being baked into their design process. Louis Rossmann sure started an inferno burning! 😁

I was following Aptera back in 2006ish, was thinking about putting in a reservation for the hybrid version, but the company liquidated before I did. So when they showed up on my radar 3 years ago, I made a small investment and put in a reservation for the 600 mile version. I changed that to the Launch Edition a while back, as I ain’t getting any younger 😂 Good new info on the seat heating, first time I’ve seen that confirmed. Thanks for the voice control question - hadn’t heard any new info on that in a couple years. Makes me wonder if they already designed in a mic somewhere.
When it will really be produced, a seat heating will be all you still need.

Aptera is the only other auto company that comes close to Tesla in innovation. It's also the only other American auto company I still have significant hope for succeeding in the long-term. Granted, that's largely because they haven't gotten to the really hard part yet, but I very much hope they'll be able to make it work, in terms of production and profitability. I love everything I'm seeing from them so far.
I'm proud that such a forwarding thinking company with such an amazingly engineered product is in my hometown! The efficiency of the Aptera is truly insane!
Excellent interview and very informative!!! Right to repair and Opensource, both such a lost art that other corporations are now refusing to provide their customers. Well done Aptera!

Incredible video.
We got a target price to hit production. Hints toward future models. And I just saw the ATLAS trailer. Aptera is looking great right now.
"Virtually no air resistance" says the CEO in the intro, can someone get an engineer to talk to that guy?
That's if you remove the wheels.
That guy just talks a lot...
Aptera: "Don't knock it till you try it"
I have a small complaint about what was said about Tesla at the beginning of the video. Tesla isn't crushing the competition. It wasn't that long ago that Tesla had more than half the worldwide EV market, but BYD should be number one this year.
Unfortunately, a lot of the competition is run by morons. People who want EVs don't want massive pickup trucks, they want smaller cars for city driving or luxury / sports cars. Rivian might go bankrupt and Ford is cutting production on the Lightning. Meanwhile, the Porsche Taycan had its best quarter for sales.
Aptera fits in both the sports car and city driving markets, so it could be a big hit.
The only downside for city driving is that it's as wide as a truck which might make going into older cities (or Europe generally) a bit of a struggle.
But the ethos is absolutely there to appeal to both crowds whuch is a great idea.
Really like these small super efficient EVs that could handle daily commute with minimal environmental impact.
So why go for an Aptera motorcycle? It is wider than a Hummer H1.
@@vic321344 lol width has almost nothing to do with environmental impact.

this is so amazing for so many reasons + such an excellent job explaining because my brain is old and tired. I just wish I was younger and could invest and drive one of these around Excellent RUclips. Thank you! I love it and thanks to you for taking us inside this amazing solar endeavor!!!!
Seems that the build process will be very dependent on supply chain dynamics of sub-contracts for important component manufacturing and timely delivery. It all needs to come together like an orchestra, with the many parts arriving in volume to support the assembly line and keep finished vehicles rolling out the door with all unique parts on board. I am so on board with this plan that I want to come to Carlsbad as a volunteer builder / parts runner or anything they need…sweep the floors!! Count me in!
Once they get going I bet more and more of the parts will be produced in-house…fight you for the broom, love to work here !
These should and probably would be highly prized manufacturing jobs. Please don't offer your labour for free ! And join your union !
Tesla is enabling Aptera by promoting EVs in general. As well as providing a charging infrastructure. (Superchargers)
Great video! I got to meet them about 20 years ago and I am glad they are still working on it. :)
Rear hatch opening with foot motion works REAL WELL when both arms & hands are holding groceries/stuff you need to set inside the hatch… Actually very functional. Not just Ford uses that clever/practical feature. Adopt it!
Give me one Rivian R3 and an Aptera and I’m set. The future!
I really like the founders, these are engineering focused guys who get things done, you can tell.
Have you checked their track record for running profitable companies though? Not so good.
"get things done", like creating a functioning production line. They've mastered developing prototypes, but not much evidence to show for the production side
I'm so excited about getting one of these.
and, i usually dont like these "concept" designs, but i actually like this, it just makes sense. And a electric viechle that does not have 2mw of power and has to have the same wieght of a freightliner just to have the batteryrange to be accaptable. For everyday commuting, if i had the wallet, this would make sense. Then have another car with a hitch for towing crap and space to go longer for the weekends
I was heartbroken when the original Aptera went under. God bless Aptera and I can’t wait to get an Aptera to replace my model 3 !!
Most videos you click off of because of boring but this was awesome and informative!! Watched to the end. Had my pre-order in a while and am excited !!
Great interview, one of the best Aptera ones recently. Can't wait for mine! Both investor and preorder holder here.
Also love how they are sticking to right to repair, it's one of the biggest reason I'm buying one, in fact I would probably cancel my order if they changed and followed the non customer repair model.
Thanks for the video. Not a lot new that I've seen or heard but it's great that Aptera is getting more eyes. I'm also an accelerator investor and can't wait to get mine. I"m going to dress like Doc Brown and drive around like I'm from the future. I've pretty much been in the midset that all they really need is the big investor or capital to get the tooling stuff to get to production. Just have to wait till that happens.
I have a reservation in for the 400 mile Launch Edition. However, if the 250 mile version goes into production before my number is called, I will be switching to one of those.
I truly wish the best for Aptera. When I get to the point in life that I can buy a car this will be high on my list. I love what they're doing!
Please some billionaire gift Aptera $65M!! This car needs to happen!!
Wait... you mean some billionaire shouldn't pay Trump's $500 million fine?
Please, some billionaire buy out Aptera and actually bring it to market! lol
@@LyricsQuest Exactly, how much money is the CEO of Aptera pocketing? I don't trust this company. Way too many excuses.
A "pre-heating the cab while charging" programming addition might be helpful for colder regions.
Edit: On demand, for example in the morning before heading out to work.
This is an "of course" for the Aptera app. I will be surprised if it's not available.
I can't afford one. But I want one. First electric car I want. And he supports right to repair is awesome. So many cool features.
Another thing to consider is, because of the Aptera's crazy efficiency, even small improvements in battery energy density could allow for large increases in Aptera's driving range.
Aptera efficiency is mediocre. It is just very aerodynamic. Thats all. Useless under 70mph. Real BEV efficiency is expensive. Build a Tesla M3 drivetrain into an Aptera hull, and you could experience real efficiency.
One of your best videos. Truly.
The fact that he consulted with Monroe and he is a fan of Elon, this company will go to the moon! I need shares asap!!!
Still available at $10.50/share. If you have 60/70 million dollars, we can all get one sooner rather than later.
Shares available… tho don’t recall if you still need to be "accredited" -> state you’re not diverting your lunch-money to buy shares 😀
Where from please, and what market value is that at? @@chrisbarrett2512
They are not listed on the stock exchange. They aren't real shares and you are gifting your money in an insecure way.
how did that work out for Archimoto?
Thank you for the excellent and informative walk-through. Your points were clearly explained. Best of luck!
This is a fantastic video. Lots of info.
This guy thinks right and the company is acting right allowing for repair and upgrades in the future by the owner. Sold I will buy one just based on this attitude.
That drop shape comes from a study published in the late '70s by Prof. Morelli (Politecnico di Torino university in cooperation with Pininfarina and the Italian Council for Research, CNR).
In 1979 such research was honored with the Compasso D'Oro award.
It is known has the shape with the lower possible Cd for a vehicle moving close to the ground.
What a great interview and show. Love you two interviewing and having a great conversation. I have followed this car since I saw it in Popular Mechanics many many years ago. Said then and I say now, I will own one of these. Just need to bring it to Ohio as soon as possible. Cant' wait to see this begin true production.
This is my new favorite Aptera video. So well done.
I'd love an Aptera ... they are everything a planet saving EV should be: lightweight, efficient, sleek, solar panels on exterior ... just hope they come to Australia at a reasonable price ... please, please not the Australia Tax price where importers / dealers screw us by charging 2-3+ times what the currency exchange rate suggests they should cost.
18:19 This on a Tesla would be great just for the case of off setting the phantom drain!
I’d trade the glass roof for solar peace of mind. “Phantom drain” is real. I keep my Tesla plugged in all the time just for that reason.
Actually given the extent of hands on engineering Elon does and especially has a solar company, we can expect better output if Tesla does solar too. But yes at present PV efficiency this will be like 10 mile per day addition given real estate a car has. Cybertruck would be an awesome addition. Had an excellent flat bed.
Excited to see next steps! Well done Chris and crew 👏👏👏
considering the car fob relay thefts recently would this car have any anti theft put in for that?
In Europe and Asia where people are already fond of smaller vehicles I think this has enormous potential. Even in Sweden, where I live, with a lot less sun this would still have enough range and such a low cost to drive that I would love to have it for my daily commute.
It is not small!! It is wider than a Model S and almost the same length of a Model 3
@@bowesterlund3719 Fair, I was thinking about the rather cramped interior.
What a great video, thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I've got the 1000 mile range version reserved for several reasons. I won't charge higher than 80% almost ever. So that gets me to 800 miles. In the winter, I'm just going to assume the range is cut in half. I know that's probably excessive but it's best to plan for worst case. I live where winters can get very cold and I also travel to places for work where winters get very cold. So that gets me to 400 miles. I work all over the country and drive to most work locations, and the US charging network is very sub-standard right now. Yes there's an assumption that you'll be able to use the Tesla network but that's not guaranteed to be the case immediately, or in every location, for a long time. So I need to be able to really put down some miles, consistently. I also work in locations with zero EV charging infrastructure within 60 miles or more. So I need a lot of extra range to depend on when the car is sitting under cloudy skies for a week or two.
28:00 I am very curious if there was any look at the EV1 when developing Aptera.
Sooooo cool. Thanks Kim. Aptera's production hell might only be a production hill thanks to Sandy Munro's team. Go Aptera! Lotsa love from Toronto ❤❤❤ PS I wonder if Apteras could be sold at motorcycle stores? 🤔
Production hell? Aptera does not even have a production ready prototype. Since 2009.
When did Sandy Munro ever produce anything?
If you don’t have a heat pump you gotta have a heated steering wheel.
Heat pumps are not great, unless you live in a mild climate like southern California. Our heat pump in the Model Y can't keep up with Michigan winters.
@@jerrymcintire7902 - I live in Oregon and my model Y heat pump works just fine. I have no doubts that yours struggles, but the tech is continually improving.
Your content has become very intriguing. I'm a fan of this new direction.
That was a very good very informative interview. Great job!
I'd still prefer if they kept the copper look over tin. Copper looks so much flashier. I can get why though as copper doesn't age very well.
I think it's a silver solder. That will look awesome. Plus, silver has the least electrical resistance. Almost all (99.9%) solar panels are made with silver for a reason.
@mpetty9947 I highly doubt actual silver, and the things we see are just the traces, not really the solder.
And 90% of electronics use silver, but an absolutely minimal amount. Yes it's there, but in very trace amounts.
fabulous cars, excellent content. Thank you, Kim, and Aptera.
thanks so much!
Great comprehensive interview/overview.
Hi, has the Aptera an Dashcam and an security system similar the Tesla’s?
The knock was badass!
Would be cool to have an entire city of these.
This is probably as close as we'll get to an affordable EV with actual range in the current market.
Really cool product, company and CEO. Nice work!
So the real test would be how the driver feels after he or she drives the Aptera from Carslbad, CA to Lake Tahoe.
Stay tuned…
LOL. I'll be driving mine back to WI.
Same. I live in the Sierra, and really want to know how lots of uphill climbing affects the range. I’d originally optioned the 600 mile due to that, but switched to the Launch Edition 400 mile in order to get it sooner.
@@michaelmay9958And don't forget about cold weather taking 30% of the range. That's why I wouldn't take less than a 600 mi. range one.
@@ictpilot that was my original thinking as well. But I’m too impatient to wait for them to release the 600. If it turns out to be an issue for me down the road, I’ll buy a 600 mile and sell the LE.
I want one. My future cars to add to my Model Y will be the Cybertruck and the Aptera. Since I had to sell my motorcycle because of back issues. The Aptera will be a nice replacement.
So why Do you want to buy the aptera motorcycle?
I have around 1/2 a million miles on 2 wheels, and love motorcycles. My aging body is also not as sharp as it once was. Both my wife and I have ridden in an Aptera prototype and will welcome the increased safety and comfort it offers - even over our present car.
@@n.brucenelson5920 no proof whatsoever that the aptera motorcycle will be safer than a two wheeler.
@@vic321344 just being in a cage alone makes it safer.
@@vic321344 Except for the fact that you will have three wheels (more stable) and will be wrapped in a structurally strong, carbon fiber body with more protection than most cars on the road today. That's the only proof. Oh, and the voluntary crash testing that Aptera will be doing with the production ready vehicles. I guess we can both wait to see the numbers.
Is this offered as a prototype where the customer can finish assembly? Might help with production issues....
The easiest V2H would be a ProPower or CT PowerShare outlet that plugs into a homes generator socket.
Like always...

Thank you 😊
I been following them since the beginning. Would love to get one.
