I tried a model train set when I was very young but it was so expensive and I had limited space so I gave up making a good one.. Now I'm 17 watching all these videos of beautiful layouts.. Thinking I should start up again....
I found an outlet by buying 5 switches and a few feet of track, then building buildings. You can spend weeks detailing a building. Probably the coolest layout I've seen was an ancient copy of Model Railroader featuring a fellow's HO city layout that fit in a 2x6 space or so. It was a switching yard with incredible detail, looked exactly like some grungy part of town with a junkyard and a few factories. Something like that in N scale would fit on a computer desk!

Train club or not Model Railroading is the Best thing anyone can do can't get enough I am sure if you want talk to someone who wants to sell or or Better off go to a Trainshow you will find n Scale as much as you can handle.

This nice model train layout features several nice mainlines with several levels of track. I found the Members to be friendly and inviting. Midwest “N” Pioneer Model Railroad Club is located at 2000 S. 25th Street, Door A (and walk down the hall) Broadview, IL 60155. The club’s open for a visit on Wednesdays & Fridays from 7pm to 10pm. You keep saying N gauge.. It's N scale. Gauge and scale are two different things. Gauge refers to the distance between the rails, scale refers to the size comparison to real life.
