Holy shit that intro with the obnoxious music made me laugh out loud. Great vid as always!
I ain't gonna hear no dissing of Lucian's theme it's goated
Broke: kill city state with 4 horses
Woke: kill baris with 4 horses
The intro had me rolling, good stuff! Keep it up!
thanks for making video on my favourite leader in BBG
I just want to say some additional things:
1)I think saladin combined with Divine spark is very good beacause of additional faith from great prophet points and additional scientist so points you can get every reinssance era Scientists
2)Stewardship is very nice in a start of a game as saladin beacause of giving additional gold and science for making your religion relevent in every civs city (You can always go with +25% your religion being stronger after printing(+50%)) You pretty much can build stonehendge as him beacause of this wonder being unrelevent for pretty much all civs (Stonehendge give free apostle) If there is no Stone You can build mahabodhi temple (2 apostles)
Mamluks is not that good but with medic scientist they can destroy some CS
Last prophet very good for extra science for Indeginous city
Well thanks for a video
Glad you liked the video! I'll address some of your points:
1. Divine Spark is, indeed, quite good on Saladin. The extra great scientist points are huge, and the extra prophet points get converted into faith per turn. I didn't choose it in either of these two games as I had a really good spawn for Reeds & Marshes in game 1, and a really good spawn for Goddess of Festivals in game 2, but it's definitely the most reliable default pantheon to fall back on as Arabia.
2. Stewardship is a really good belief to evangelize into, but I feel as though it's more important to be able to put up worship buildings immediately upon finishing temples without needing to spend 200 faith on an apostle for evangelization first, which is why I prioritize getting a worship building belief immediately upon founding a religion. Going Stonehenge to get a free apostle makes sense, though - I see how that could allow you to gain the benefits of taking Stewardship immediately, while still being able to evangelize your religion in time to put up worship buildings ASAP. Still, it requires that you invest a lot of production to get Stonehenge, so I think that strategy would only be good with the monumentality build (since you can faith-buy builders to chop Stonehenge out quickly).
3. Lastly, about the Mamluks, you're right that they're not particularly good in FFA on account of them being too expensive, and being on the verge of obsolescence by the time that Grandmaster's Chapel gets finished to unlock the ability to faith-purchase them. However, they are an incredibly strong unit in Teamers, where you can simply prebuild a ton of heavy chariots, and then have your teammates trade you gold and iron to upgrade them immediately. In a 4v4 format where Mamluks aren't limited by Arabia's economy, they are actually a very ferocious unique unit.
@@HersonCiv Thank you so much for answer i thing you right about everything But my last idea is that Arabian building better to be Dar e Mah Beacause of culture than gurdvara But they are pretty close
P.S In a last video you told how to complete wonders fast So it is not that much of problem\You can go moksha With 2-3 prom and magnus to chop (Titles From Goverment plaza So it is not that hard
awesome as always herson, never lost a twicht stream of you, ( i saw you played inca for a couple of minutes, i know its a situational spawn civ,and i keep hearing people saying it sucked, but its my heritage and i love it ,so thank you for playing it , even for a couple of minutes)
Tawantinsuyu gang!
@@Anonie324 yeahhhh!!!!!!!
without bbg it is frustrating to constantly spawn in locations with only +1 or +2 adjacency for your campuses and holy sites
love ur videos they are so nice
New to the game, this helps greatly
I was playing his Grand Columbia and I got Hercules. I was focusing on campuses and encampments as my district adjacency was just easier. I get to the mid game and I start losing units cuz my gold per turn goes negative. Going to restart and try using the commercial hut magnus strat
Hello Herson, I am a Chinese Civilization 6 player, I found your video about BBG very interesting, and this kind of tutorial video is rare, can I upload your video to Bilibili, a famous Chinese video website, after adding Chinese subtitles to share it with Chinese BBG players? I will mention the author and your RUclips website in the description of the reposted video. So I'm here to ask for your permission to do this.
Go ahead, so long as you credit me and link back here it's fine by me.
@@HersonCiv Thanks!!!
the legendary religious vic. fweakin cwazy bwo.
Masterful.
how good is a holy site opener on babylon? They don't get massive faith bonuses compared to religious civs but can slap down a couple holy sites to start getting the discounts rolling and grab a religion
INSHALLAH moment
What would be the best way to play saladin without domination, science vic? Or is their production too low.
Hei herson. Out of toppic little bit, but could you also make a guide or just explain how you think what would be the best deffencive tactics for people who are not warmongers and just like to chill in their own turf?!
There's no sure-fire way to make sure you aren't attacked, but there are some helpful tips:
1. The combat strength of your city centers scales to a minimum of 10 less than the strength of the strongest unit you've made all game. Players often use city strength as a gauge when determining who to attack. Just building one copy of the strongest unit you can lets other people know you're not a completely free target. For example, a player who has built a horseman will have all their cities have 26 strength or more, but a player who's built a knight will have all of their cities at 40 strength or more. In this game, you can see at 0:44 that the Brazilian player, who is to my south, has a 16 strength city. This is because the strongest unit he's built all game is a warrior. In contrast, my cities have a minimum of 92 strength, as the strongest unit I've made this game is a tank army (which has 102 combat strength).
2. You simply have to keep up with the rest of the lobby in terms of stats. If your science and culture fall too far behind, it'll get to the point where there's no way you could realistically defend yourself against a threat, and in that case, you are likely to eventually be attacked.
3. Research Steel. If you just want to survive, this technology should be your top priority after finishing Industrialization. Steel grants every city in your empire walls which have 300 health. Contrast this to ancient walls, which only have 75 health. After a certain point, players without steel walls are simply sitting ducks - you can see how at 11:35 I just steamroll Cree's cities. If he had simply researched the Steel technology, I would've had to spend turns using siege units or bombers to weaken his cities, but because he doesn't have steel, I can kill them with just helicopters.
Tnx Herson, this helps a lot. And i rly appriciate you spending your time for replying a peasant like me. :) Cheers man.@@HersonCiv
Consider Russia on a good tundra start too
Please do a video explaining the district discount mechanic
This one's already at the top of my to-do list!
could you please do a spotlight on Brazil? I love that my country is in the game but Pedro II's ability being very win more and Amazon being so start bias dependent makes him feels very inconsistent.
This civ's definitely in line for a civ spotlight in the near future! The latest BBG patch gave Brazil a fairly substantial buff, and I think the civ's in a very strong spot right now.
@@HersonCiv If it wasn't for those Pesky Kids and their Irrel Wars we'd already have one!
why did the intro go so hard tho
So you can be punished in that server for not playing the way other people want you to play??? Wtf so you can just be bad at the game and get banned like wtf is that
Defending poorly is not against the CPL rules, but failing to attempt to defend at all is. You just need plausible deniability, CPL is extremely lax about this sort of thing. If you don't feel like defending, just make a couple of units, queue up walls in every city, and then go AFK - it takes like 2 turns to do and is sufficient to dodge a suspension. New players in particular are given even more leeway about this.
@@HersonCiv Thanks for clearing it up
