The triangle at 12 o’clock and the sword hands were nods to the late sixties seamaster and the main reason people like this piece

also because skeleton hands are so polarising and inappropriate on a dive watch

A diver would NOT open the HE release valve under water. It would be opened only inside the decompression chamber

    It it's waterproof to 300m, not 200m.

Increase your depth of field in your camera settings and you won't have such trouble with focus. Thanks for the video, love that Omega

Overall an enjoyable video but some inaccuracies. 41mm width. And 44hrs power reserve. Nothing major just things worth noting. Good work.

Great watch but the newer clasp is not a seamaster clasp. Also worth mentioning that unlike the bond version the metal bracelet tapers from 20 to 18mm which makes it very comfortable.

I got two pre-Bond Seamaster 200mm quartz with the 1438 movement. (I had the rare dual-thermistor regulated 1441, but the Lancaster Omega repair shop stole it!) Nevertheless, the accuracy of the less valuable movement only lost 6 seconds the past few months.
Otto Frie personally pulled a new watch face for one when he was in Switzerland, and I am re-luming the face and hands of the second one for a pretty nice restoration. Not easy to do, but I think a vinyl stencil will mask the dial and let me paint accurate markers as they don't have surround rings.

I really like the no BS military vibe of this watch. I just wish the Planet ocean bracelet fit it.

Another good video from you. However I suggest you to talk about the price (new, second hand) and your opinion about the price for this watch (ex: This watch is on loan but at the current market, would you buy it ?) in your video.

Hello everyone I owe the 2054 bond bracelet, what a piece! Excellent design, sword hands and luminor stripes....so as the wave pattern...makes it unique!! My opinion never like rolex......omega all the way!

I have this watch in minty mint condition, a keeper for sure. Can you share the purchase details of the adjustable clasp? I thought it did not fit the 2254.50

Lakes the clasp Is from the new 300 master coaxial bracelet

I am looking at my 2254.50 bracelet and I would imagine that you would have to re-use the parts that links the deployment to the bracelet.

Looking at the video again the claps does not quite fit. The 2254.50 tappers to 18-mm at the buckle. The replacement clasp looks to be the standard 20-mm clasp from the 5-link Bond style bracelet. It protrudes a little on each side of the bracelet.

True this clasp won’t fit the 22.54 bracelet. The 22.54 is pins and sleeves this clasp has screws you’d have to replace the entire bracelet if you want the micro adjust. I think the 22.54 bracelet has a much cleaner nicer clasp than the current Seamaster and much slimmer. Suits the watch. No micro adjustment though can be a problem for some.

Lubricate the bezel and it will turn just fine.

I was about the comment the same thing. I added a drop on gun oil to the side of the bezel of my 15-year old Seamaster. I turned it a few times to work it is and the bezel now turns like butter.

The innacuracies in this piece really detract from what could have been a nice watch. Best of luck for future videos.

This watch is 300 metres and not 200 metres water resistant, it states as such on the watch face both on the screen as well as on my wrist!!!! The early James Bond models were apparently 200 meteres WR despite it stating 300 metres.

2:20 did brosnan wear a ceramic seamaster?

    • @arghjayem
      @arghjayem 6 лет назад +3

rumvodkaf1 no, Brosnan's were all pre ceramic and pre co axial movements. He initially had a quartz blue dial in Goldeneye (the antagonist played Sean Bean, a former 00 agent, wore a similar quartz powered sea master in black not blue.) Then for tomorrow never dies they switched to him wearing an automatic sea master, again with the blue wavy dial. He wore an automatic again for his last two films but all the films featuring brosnan were pre co axial watches and hence also all were pre ceramic bezels (all being aluminium ones, and again all blue).

But the one in the 2:20 is the ceramic one

LOL!! REAL deep sea/ocean divers use "wrist computers" or hae communication with the people on the boat. :))
There are lots of features on "dive watches" that are nothing more than "talking-points" and features icnluded to help sell more watches e.g. helium knobs or valves, deep dive ratings (e.g. 100-11,000m....etc. 99 percent of buyers DO NOT dive :)) Notice also hwo NONE of hte watch companies have catual deep dive HD video foottage with each dive watch or ANY of their dive watches. The test them in "air pressure chambers" ON LNAD :) ANd oddly no YTer reviewing has taken them "deep diving" and provided HD video footage either. Bit odd no?? :))
they're fashion accessories :) Do you think F1 driers are going to be looking at theier Omega Speedmaster or Tag Heuer Carrera while racing??? :))
