My favorite Seamaster reference! Totally unique and will be highly collectible due to its rarity and unique dial, with the sword hands. I prefer the swords to the skeleton hands of the new SMP 300.

Bought this one for 1800 $ a few years ago, the finish and quality for this price is amazing. A keeper ! Fabulous looks...

Tim, btw, one worth mentioning is the ultralight 2231 titanium sister watch, also electric blue. The titanium one is fantastic for heatwaves (lighter, more temperature-neutral than steel, and feels "dry"). Great for hot summer days.

My first real watch, gifted to myself on graduation. In hindsight, after a decade of heavy use and abuse, it remains the most comfortable and striking watch I've ever owned. Though I've had my share of Rolex, Panerai, IWC and a rather fetching Patek, that watch is my favorite. Comfortable band, warm titanium, brilliant blue wave dial. I never liked the later watches, many too busy looking. I miss it sorely but am glad I gave it to my son on his own graduation. It looks as good as when I bought it.

Just purchased a perfect condition 2255.80, 36mm. I dislike the version that is exactly like the ‘bond’ watch - too much of a copycat - would have been nice to have that handy grenade in the escape valve though. This is a great color ‘electric’ blue and the stainless steel bezel is perfect. 1120 movement should last, but unfortunately, it’s not the coaxial. Bezel is hard to turn but how often is that really needed?

I have this same watch only mine was fitted with the Bond style bracelet instead of the "speedy" style demonstrated here. Both are very comfortable and look great. Of well over a dozen or so Omega watches I've accumulated over the decades, this one remains my favorite and I've always felt that for pure function in low light conditions and rugged good looks should have been the one James Bond would have selected. I have several Omega watches that have the 2500 Co axial escapement movement but in my controversial opinion haven't seen that they perform any better or longer between services than the tried and true 1120 movement which I still consider to be just about the best movement around. At the risk of ruffling a few opinion feathers here, you shouldn't feel slighted in the least for your watch not being a Co-axial movement.

Did certain references come with certain bracelets? I know that bracelet is usually for the speedmaster but for references like the 50th anniversary seamaster GMT, I've seen it on both the bond style and the speedmaster style bracelets.

I asked on another video which bracelet would you prefer this speedmaster style bracelet or the Bond bracelet on the 2055.80?

    Tim,
I also have the original (automatic) Pierce Brosnan Bond watch. This one looks spectacular (and better than our watch??) except for one flaw: The huge triangle marking 12 O'clock should have a hairline splitting it vertically in 2, like with the two block markers on the Bond watch. The 12 O'clock marker is the most important marker on a watch dial, and (for synchronization purposes) it should have a hairline indicating the EXACT position of 12:00. This watch has no minute markers between the 57-minute mark and the 3-minute mark. If I bought this, I'd ask a professional watch customizer to "fix" that for me by putting in a hairline at 12:00! That would make the watch perfect.
