planning on auditioning for the 2020 season. This video has encouraged me to start practicing a little more than 5 days a week and to start going outside and just doing some basic marching drills. Thank you!
Carolina Crown 2020, as soon as I get out of high school, btw can you play married life from the movie UP after the trumpet cleaning video? Thanks for the tips!
Hey man don’t let that discourage you from pursuing something really cool! I play sax in high school last year, picked up baritone, auditioned, got contracted, and had an amazing summer. It just takes a lot of work and patience but you’ll be satisfied with your growth and the end result.
Memes Topic XD i wouldn’t say you’re giving up sax altogether. I’m still playing tenor and pushing for all state this year, but it will interfere with your sax playing for sure.
Envious of anyone who marched drum corps, especially world class. Being a woodwind player I never would have been able to learn brass or drums quick enough to get to the level I would have needed just to have a small chance. Marching I was fine , my high school band was a BOA national finalist all four years I was there (96-99), so I had experience marching and playing at a high level. We did really fast tempos with tough drill and technically difficult music. A lot of people in the band marched dci, cavaliers, cadets, star of Indiana and later blast! Good luck I hope all you guys make the corps of your dreams and get ready to work hard and really get after it. There is nothing like performing in front of 30,000 marching arts fans. GreAt video
Thanks omg, I'm auditioning for Genesis in a month and I've been playing Contra for about 5 months, as I'm a clarinet player normally lol, so these tips are getting me pumped for it
I’m planning on auditioning for Bloo 2121 or 2122 depending on time between college and other stuff and tuition. But thanks for the tips and I’m sure they will help me be the best I can be for auditioning!
I'm going For Carolina Crown and Spirit of Atlanta 2019. I would do love to get into the corps but u thing my greatest weakness is my double tonguing. I've been working like CRAZY to make it better and I'm seeing progress. I am also just trying to get everything up to speed and I know everything isn't going to be as fast as they want it and I've been grinding practice sessions, playing and not every day and now I'm ramping up the length because of how close camp is.
Auditioning for Blue Stars next month. Preparing the marching for corps is a bit tough with the demands of double majoring with music and all the stuff to practice for that too
Hey man! I'm currently hoping to audition for Impulse 2018! I'm super happy you made this video because at first, I wasn't to sure what to expect when I go in to audition. Now, I will be prepared and hopefully march drum corps for my first year soon. Thank you so much!

I'm thinking of trying for rather Heat Wave or Atlanta, since my current drum major was a player for Heat Wave about two years ago, and Atlanta is nearby.
Im auditioning for Genesis this coming weekend. And the anxiety is starting to set in. Im really REALLY good at marching. But im normally a woodwind ive only been playing a brass instrument for almost 3 months. Im hella worried im not a strong enough to make it :/ ive been practicing the materials but idk confidence is hard lol i have friends who marched genesis and said they will work with you to better your skill and i gotta say thats got me pumped because i really want to get super good at this horn.
I'm planning to audition for Bluecoats as a trumpet player. I'm very very nervous. I've done marching band for three years but I'm just not confident enough.
Thank you so much for doing this!!! It's really helpful! Man I wish I could try out for DCI! I pray that God blesses you with more things so your channel can grow and be all that you intended it to be! Love you Fam! God Bless!😊😂☺️🎺⚾️🙏🏼
I have already paid for the camps for crossmen and Genesis for the 2018 season, this would be my rookie year so I don’t really know what to expect, however I’m really looking forward to auditions!
