1. Charge your iPad: If your iPad screen is black, it could be due to battery drain. Use the original charging cable and wait for it to regain power. If the issue persists, consider getting the battery replaced.
2. Force Restart iPad: For iPads with a home button, hold the home and power buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. For iPads without a home button, quickly press and hold the volume up, then quickly press and hold the volume down, then hold the power button until the Apple logo appears.
3. Fix with ReiBoot: Use ReiBoot, a third-party tool, to fix iOS errors. Connect your iPad to your computer, ensure it's in recovery mode, and follow ReiBoot's instructions. Choose Standard Repair to avoid data loss, then download the firmware package and start the repair process.
4. Update iPad Using iTunes: Connect your iPad to your computer, launch iTunes, and put your iPad in recovery mode. Choose the Update option in iTunes to download and install the latest firmware. However, this method may result in data loss and is not recommended.
Remember to back up your data regularly to prevent loss in case of issues like the black screen of death.

⚠Important notice:
The Standard Repair of ReiBoot has a chance to fix the phone without data loss, but doesn't guarantees 100% success rate.
If the Standard Repair failed, kindly try the following steps:
1. Use an original Apple USB cable.
2. Unplug your iPhone from the computer, force restart, then re-plug your iPhone in.

How do I “make sure my device is in recovery mode” if my ipad is on black screen ? There is no way of knowing what it is doing until Im able to boot it up …yes or no ?

I was playing a game & then my tablet froze & wouldn’t turn on, then the screen went black & it wouldn’t turn on, and I had been trying to turn it back in for the past hours, and then I tried to pull this up on my phone, & I tried to hold the home & power button for longer because I didn’t do it as long hours ago, and it worked!!! Sooo glad I found this, the home button plus the power button worked. I had no idea, saved me a trip to a repair place.
Reiboot asks to register or buy the full verison once its downloaded the firmware i cant register nor even buy it when u clixk it does nothing, mine wont turn on or show its charging the pc will only pick the ipad up if i put it in dfu mode itunes is the same and says ipad needs restoring once its extracged software it says waiting for ipad but ipad wont turn on so it fails everytime

What if the ipad is functioning (it makes sounds for charging and swipe to open) but you can’t see what you’re clicking because of black screen, is that the screen of death or a different problem?

You might have to force restart your iPad a few times as it took me like 3 times but it works.
What happens if you don't have original charger
Reiboot said my ipad is in DFU mode and it wont let me enter recovery mode.... None of other methods works for me either...
Heres my tip : Either contact apple, or get it to a technician, I know it's been 1 year, but if this problem is till incontact with your ipad, please take it to a technician.
