The stitchy just looks like a dennison gun to me. It's what they use in retail to attach price tags to clothes.
That`s basically what it is.
We called them “swiffers” during my retail stint. Lol
100% what I was thinking! that's exactly what it is.
Just came on to say the same thing.
Many people have no experience in retail. We used to use those to put tags on anything that wouldn't hold a sticker
100% the same thing.
Used to do fashion photography - the stitchy is an upsold Dennison gun for punching tags into clothes. It looks like your needle wasn’t locked in. I would never use it regularly, especially on thin or delicate fabric because you’re punching holes and damaging the material every time. Fashion tape makes way more sense and is also way more portable.
Yeah, or literally a few basting stitches. You can hand sew delicate fabrics and carefully remove the thread without issue or damage. Easier to learn as well, and a needle doesn't get jammed and takes up way less room.
That is exactly what I was going to say.
OK but the dingle dangle would be brilliant on a stroller because kids literally drop the toys alllllll the time on the floor and this would solve that problem.
Or you can use those clips and hooks that already exist and are way cheaper, and can be attached to any toy that has some kind of loop or clippable area. Like, my sister has the little clips that go on clothes with a pacifier, or she clips a little blankie on. And she has these C shaped chain links that can be attached to the handlebar of a stroller (or any pipe/bar/railing really) that clip onto each other. So long as the top has a tag or loop it can go on the links as well.
The dingle dangle only really works with it's own toys and attachments.
You would only need to rinse your mouth out with water if you were doing a wine tasting because if you brush your teeth right away you're going to brush away your enamel because wine is an acid. So if you continue to brush your teeth after every single wine tasting you won't have any enamel left
Watching these Amazon/Shark Tank videos on your channel helps stave off my need to randomly buy things. You buy everything and I get to watch you open and figure them out. I get to vicariously live through you!
The wearable mobile would be such a disaster in real life. It’s cute in its other ways but I could just see myself looking down and smashing that right into a poopy mess …. And the set up? No way 😂😂😂
I just wanna know who goes wine tasting and brushes their teeth between the wine... like if you were legit that into wine you would know that's gonna ruin your taste buds... so you go wine tasting and care more about keeping your teeth white than the actual wine? But you expect me to trust your opinion on products? Yeah that's a no from me babe lol
Exactly! Who does that 😂😂😂 As an argentinian who enjoys a lot drinking wine, I brush my teeth only once I finish because otherwise if you do it between a wine tasteing wune wiññ feel minty...🤔
That Dingle Dangle toy was hilarious. Fairly impractical, but hilarious.
The Funkkoff is a little late to the game. For years, I’ve bought Colgate Wisps and similar disposable toothbrushes from places like Walmart. These are small brushes, pre-loaded with toothpaste, some with a floss attachment. Now, I’ll say, the Funkkoff is reusable and easier to disguise, like a lipstick tube. But the Wisp is small and can reach back teeth easier.
I’m sure they were trying to reduce the plastic being thrown away since Wisps are single use.
Certified curly girl here here who is NOT about a long hair routine in the morning here! Fine hair, been dealing with thinning (31 was a stressful year), and 3a-c curls (think 3/4 inch curling iron for the loosest and ringlet-wrapped-around-a-pencil for the tightest). I've been loving the Verb Curl Foaming Gel for the past year. It is lightweight enough to give volume at the root, but has enough hold to get me to day 3 before a full refresh.
I pair it with either the CurlSmith Weightless Airdry Ceam or the Amika Hydro Rush Leave-in Conditioner. Both are great
Miss Jessie's jelly soft curls is also amazing. Very good for a softer hold but still has some definition and doesn't weigh the hair down. I use it for my daughter and I. We have thick but fine wavy/curly hair and we can't do long routines. I just comb it in to get some clumps then lightly scrunch and air dry and it looks gorgeous for the day.
The Stitchy is a tagging gun. Looks like the needle in yours was either improperly aligned or it came defective. Usually they come with a backup needle or two. Used them all the time when I worked in the fitting room at Target. It's not uncommon to have an issue the first time it two you use it. What I will say is this, that pokes a hole in the fabric. Be mindful of where you're putting the shard (the plastic piece that gets shot out of the needle). We would always place the tags on a hidden seam, that way if we did end up inadvertently damaging the fabric it was in an area that's much easier to fix.
23:54 we called these “swiffers” when I worked retail. They are always a problem. They work but then they get clogged, break, the needle comes out. We used these to attach our price tags, etc. push the pin through the pieces of fabric all the way. Then pull the trigger. It should then be attached together.
its just pink and a "brand name" so I'm sure it costs more than a regular price tag stabber (that's what I called it)
@@jamies5655 one hundred per cent!
The stitchy is a rebranded quilt tool. Basting gun. Should be instructions online for that. It uses the plastic things that attach tags to clothing.
I remember something similar (Ronco?) from the 70's that was advertised to put on buttons and dk quick hems.
I used hooked on phonics to learn to read. I already had a pretty good grasp on words by the time I was 4 because my mom and dad worked with me. But by the time I was halfway done with hooked on phonics I was reading 3rd grade chapter books.
My parents just noticed I loved trains, so my mom would play “trains” with me and teach me stuff while we played. I loved Thomas the Train and she would teach me how to spell the names of the trains (Thomas, Percy, James). By the time I went to school, I was already reading and writing and doing math.
I also had a spelling list on my door and I remember visiting my grandparents when I was about 4. I spelled tomorrow for them, and then I spelled it backwards. They were blown away and I got a stuffed animal as a reward 😂
I don’t remember my reading experience but my daughter had sight words she had to know before entering Kindergarten. I read a lot to her and we worked on those sight words ad nauseam!
@@lucifursanarchy5202, yeah my brother and I were as well. I thought it was pretty common before pre-k but apparently we just had an awesome Mom 😎
Loved the Dingle Dangle demo…the seriousness you put into it…so funny!
As a girlie with type c curls I use leave in curl conditioner then curl cream then gel then moose the let my hair dry then don’t brush or wash hair for about 4 days. I don’t let a brush touch my hair until I wash it again and wrap my hair in a silk bonnet at night.
The dingle dangle had me cracking up when you put it on your head 😂😂😂 I'll keep my comment PG, but I'm sure most of us can figure out what I thought it looked like 😂😂
They’re the makers of Glow Recipe AND it was a Shark Tank thing?! I thought Glow Recipe was around forever, I love that brand. I started using some of the products a few years ago.
I think the tooth thing is meant to be rinsed and then put the Cao back in, and it then dries out for next use. I would bring a water bottle in my bag for rinsing. Sounds interesting.
Yeah. The other option would be a moldy toothbrush. Most toothbrush cases and caps are ventilated in some way for that same reason.
Yesssss Rachel posted!!! It’s gonna be a good day! 🎉
Every Thursday and Saturday my boyfriend knows to give me time to watch youuu. My girl Rachel your the best💕💕💕
Like others said the "stitchy" looks exactly like a pricing tag machine.
One downside is it creates holes in the item so I don't think it's a great product to create temporary stitches bc each of those "stitches" creates a hole.
When I worked retail we were trained to only use that in the tag of an item or if there was no tag a sturdy seam pref in a pocket that way it wouldn't damage the item too much so just a heads up!
also we had the same issues u did all the time so it's not you.
All retail workers screaming instructions for the stitchy. That’s exactly what we use to attach tags in department stores lol
When you put that baby toy thing on your head...lol. I so lost it. I needed that giggle.
Thank you so much for doing these videos I absolutely love them.
I'm so glad!!! :D
Woah! Have never been so early in all my years subscribed!
Love all your videos on both your channels ❤
Im officially obsessed with your videos❤
The front tuck and the all the way around tuck look really good on you!
Okay LOOOOVE my Tucky (they got me with an IG ad and I’m not a shark tank girlie). It’s so good for making my oversized tops and sweaters for work/going out to look a little more polished while I’m still cozy for work 😂
I think it seems like a great idea. I'd be curious to see it modeled with thinner material. It would have been nice to see her try it with a couple of different tops. I'm not really a sweatshirt person, myself, so it would have made more sense to me to see it with thinner fabrics and more traditional shirts.
So excited I could help you for once!! Never miss a video ❤❤❤❤
I have some health issues and I don't leave my house much so I don't really use make up and all the other fun stuff anymore yet I can't get enough of u!!!! I watch both of ur channels, I fall asleep to them and ur bright, sweet and awesome personality always makes my days a Lil better!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I love the watermelon glow face moisturizer. omg my skin was so good on that!
My curly hair is very much like your niece and I love the OGX coconut curl mousse is wonderful, It makes my curls soft and defined while allowing me to comb through them the next day and I will use a small amount with some water to re-wet my curls for extra definition after they are dry. no crunch, no frizz (chef's kiss)
I saw some mention the guns used to attach price tags to clothes but I also used to have a Buttoneer, a similar tool that had two “needles” and short plastic tabs. Great for quick emergency fixes, like reattaching buttons when you don’t have a needle and thread. I kept mine in my work locker. We also discovered it could also be used to quick hems to our pant legs which, as work uniforms, we weren’t allowed to roll up.
Keeping a needle and thread in one of those travel booklets (or just an old chewing gum tin, or other small box or tin) seems easier to me. Takes up less space, and honestly, I'm less likely to put this whole thing with the plastic in a bag than a tiny cardboard booklet with a few needles, thread and safety pins.
15:17 you just know when this music comes on in the background things are about to go downhill 😂
LOL
Another Shark Tank video, yes! 😊🎉 Looking forward to watch it
I love those dew drops so much. The watermelon over night mask is so nice too
I buy Angelina’s Curls foam and I love it! It’s brought back so much to my curls!
Love your reviews! I crack up, smile and say wtf is that, all the time. 😂❤
Wow I can't believe your family was SO curious where your shirt was tucked in lol. I just can't imagine "EVERYONE being like: what are you doing..where is that being..whEre dOes iT gO?!" 😂😂
How like a dad to invent something to make changing the diaper more complicated than before.
the fact that im watching 7 seconds after it has been posted🤣
Yay! It’s Rach!!!! 🥰
I LOVE Glow Recipe 💜💜💜💜
The "stitch" thing is a retail tag attacher, they were always a pain in the neck to use because they were forever breaking, but when you get the hang of it, it does work how they advertise I guess? We would use it to pair up broken socks or underwear packaging!
I have something similar to the Tucky it's called the Crop Top Band and I absolutely love it!
The reading tutors here at the elementary school where I work use and love the Fidget came for 1-3 graders!
That Dingle Dangle is such a dad solution.
The stitchy is a tagging gun for retail. There is a little plastic piece that turns to lock the needle in place, also put needle in before the plastic fasteners.
the stichy is just a rebranded tag gun, those have been around forever. we used them at Contempo, (anyone remember Contempo)
Controlled chaos is amazing! I have been using it for years and they have bigger bottles. The smaller bottle is a trial size which I appreciate being able to try before I buy. I use it first then use a gel after and let it air dry. Then just sotc with an oil.
So crazy! I just saw the Glow Recipe shark tank last night! I didn’t even realize they were on Shark Tank!
I always wanted to use Glo Recipe watermelon dew drops thingy.
I'm a curly hair gal and your niece has possibly A type 2 if she were to use a hair serum call bioderm it's great or "it's a 10" they both are amazing for type of hair!
My extensive analysis…lol:
The toothbrush thing seems made for women, who frequently wake up somewhere else, therefore adding that to their standard handbag arsenal.
The baby distraction thing basically ruins your hair, makeup etc., therefore not useful out & about.
The Tucky is basically straps from motocross goggles “remastered” for a different task.
The Stichy is basically that tagging/pricing gun “remastered”.
The other stuff is quite nice.
Fun & entertaining video as always!
Best wishes ❤
I don't agree I'm the toothbrush thing. I think it would also be nice for those of us that work at different locations and therefore don't always have a bathroom available after the lunch break. I would also think it's possible to just use bottled water to rinse and spit out somewhere outside.
I would have liked it when I had to visit different salons to check non clients.
Also the baby distraction thing: even though I would have needed this with my babies, don't forget fathers invented it and not all women wear makeup
@@BabyRastasaurus Fair!
Although I don’t completely understand the “work in different locations”, there are already foldable toothbrushes available, brushing teeth after every lunch (not just morning/evening) is not too common and it specifically has the form factor of makeup items.
Indeed I agree, but it didn’t say anywhere, that the item was designed only for men/fathers. Or I missed that part. I’d say one could expect men to design a parenting item, that can be also used by women. Otherwise your target consumer base is already down by 78%.
You have valid points though!
Best wishes ❤️
In the UK we have a show similar called Dragons Den! It would be interesting to see you test these products ❤
We used to call the retail iteration of the Stitchy a Manila gun in the store where I worked. You need to take the stitches out first, and then attach the needle. There should be an open side to the needle that needs to align with the stitches (which moves forward when you use it) and a little divot into which the small lever on the front of the gun pinches it in place. Then add the stitches so that the bottom one is inside the needle and can be pushed forward. Think of it as a stapler for clothes.
I used the Controlled Chaos product for a while. I did like it because I kept my hair soft, but I did have to use other products with it.
Omg…I laughed out loud when that head band thingie fell off😂😂😂🇨🇦
The holes in the brush cap is probably to make sure the brush dries out. It would get moldy between uses otherwise.
You could make your own fnkkoff toothpaste thing with a refillable cuticle oil pen and some toothpaste
One of the ways my mum helped me and my sister learn how to read was by laminating a word sheet. I’d see the word. Then we’d cover it up, and I’d try to spell it with a whiteboard pen, as it was laminate plastic. I loved using it like a whiteboard! And if I got it right I got a gold star sticker which I also loved haha. ⭐️
The stitchy thing is what we call in the UK a Kimble gun to put price tags on clothes etc x
It's exactly like a Dennison gun, there is that grey lever/switch that turns and it will lock the needle in so it does not ping out like it did when you were using it.
3:26 Am in Australia lettttsss gooooooooooo 😂
I also have very fine, easily tangled, easily made frizzy hair that may have some sort of ambiguous wave pattern to it.....I didn't grow up with many women in my life and now at 30 I'm finally starting to explore things like Make-up, proper hair care and baking. Your channels have been a big part of this adventure and I'm so glad I stumbled onto such cozy comforting content ❣
24:56 Girl, it’s just a tag gun. I’m low key offended that they advertised a tag gun as a tailoring tool.
Especially since they stole the idea from other companies that did it first.
Buttoneer made many years ago (70s) and definitely based off a denison gun. Originally marketed to put on buttons that have popped off.
Curly/ wavy hair girl here and how we do it? I do it once a week, otherwise I wouldn't do it at all as it takes me about an hour to wash and style before it starts drying.
Tooth brush would’ve been game changer in my misspent youth, no more finger brush 😂Iykyk!
I can’t take you seriously with that unicorn baby mobile. Damn funny
The toothbrush thing could be good for people with Invisalign. I hated feeling like I was trapping stuff under the plastic retainers in the middle of the day when I couldn’t brush my teeth
The stitchy is the thing they use to put the tags on clothing that says how much they cost at cheaper places. It has a formal name I can't think of ATM. I used one when i worked at the Mall as a teen & My husband works in a fabric making warehouse and they use one to mark defects in the fabric.
I absolutely LOVE Controlled Chaos!
Wondering if you'd consider reviewing the Luxe at home lash lift. Understand if not bc perming your lashes at home seems dangerous. BUTTTTTT it also seems like if it's easy and safe it could save so much effort like imagine waking up with perfectly tinted and curled lashes?! Truly "woke up like this" :o
Bathrooms are bathrooms Waters there for a reason. Don't think it's a big deal to use bathroom water in a public place just to use it briefly for your brushing lol
I love Glow Recipe 💖
Looks nice all tucked around
If Lauren wants to increase her daughters curls, a layered haircut will help
I remember seeing glow recipe on shark tank while sitting in a hotel room 😂 idk why it’s a thing but every time I’m in a hotel shark tank is on tv and we watch the heck out of it! 😂
Maybe have a small bottle of water for rinsing for the portable tooth brush
24:10
The tag gun. Not sure the actual name, I call a pokey tabby stick at work. lol
The needle has a lock. It looks like it’s unlock, hence the needle flying away. Pull the white plastic thing back? It’s facing outwards.
Dollar stores do sell collapsible travel cups. That would be a perfect companion for that toothbrush.
I’m very interested in the fidget game! My daughter is having some trouble with reading ,she’s in first grade so this will be something we can try out! And reuse when my son starts kindergarten! Thank you for showing this!
Rachelllll!! love you and your videos! shark tank ones are some of my favs! Love both your channels
Oooh! The fidget game would be fun in my first grade classroom!
the stitchy thing is jsut a tag pin tool. they are very common in clothing retail
Brad mondos xmondo wavetech foam!! For curly hair!
Glow recipe has the bestttt cleaning balm
It’s almost like you knew I was going on my lunch break!
The Stitchy looks like they slapped a different label on the "Buttoneer," which is designed to quickly replace buttons. It even has the same annoying difficulty with bending the prong pieces, but it works great in a pinch if you don't mind making several attempts.
I've done the fidget game with my students (I've taught 2nd and Kinder) but we just did it with a huge pop it and normal flashcards. I like it and the kids like it!
On Amazon the micro stitch original has a PDF instructions. I love mine and it’s easy.
5:30 if funkk off is sitting in the bottom of my purse, it's for sure gonna have dirt/cheez it crumbs/ fuzzy balls/ etc go right through those holes and get stuck to the brush. I'm guessing, like you said, the holes are for air flow however I think a fine mesh over the holes would have been smart. I'm a mom and I never know what's at the bottom of my purse. Maybe I'm not their target market as I'm not out boozing it up at wineries, but I should be. Every mom should have this in every single bag for brushing on the go. However without fluoride is not something I'm gonna reach for, for myself or my kids. Additionally 30 uses isn't very many. All these semi-disposable items really make me think about the wastefulness of products like this. I'd rather pack a travel tooth brush and mini tooth paste that would last wayyy longer plus it has fluoride in it.
O honey 😂😂lol 😂😂that thing on your head
I’m a nanny or should I say I was a nanny I just buy the books that are appropriate for their age and both of my kids and every kid I have nannied have all gone into kindergarten reading. Their catchy, kids learn how to memorize before they learn the actual words that comes after they have memorized books. Every kindergarten teacher applauded me for it I didn’t do anything extraordinary I just literally bought the books for pre-K for them to read and put the time in to read them to the children and then they just caught on.
I have used the pricing guns before (the stitchy) and could never figure out how to put the needles back in. Lol
Dang. When I worked retail in the 90s, they had a training session for using a Dennison gun. I guess enough folks put that plastic through layers of finger skin. 😬😬
What nail polish are you wearing (the blue one)? Its gorgeous
The stitch thing has been around since the 60s.
