Car coasters really don’t do anything but absorb a small amount of condensation. They get gross, and any crumbs just get trapped underneath them. My rec is to get a double walled tumbler that fits your cup holder and transfer any drink into that-no drips or sticky cup holders.
This lamp could be a great warning language for a friend or family member that cannot call you, you could even come up with colour-coded messages.
Or for a homesick college kid getting used to adulting.❤
Rach.......I have taken care of my Granddaughter since she was 3 months old during the week for my son and daughter-in-law. She is turning 6 on Monday the 17th and starting school on the 21st and as happy as I am for her to have this experience I am HEARTBROKEN that I honestly will hardly see her!!!!!
When you showed that lamp I almost started bawling AGAIN.....because I talked about it with my husband again today after her and our 3 year old Grandson left after our 9 1/2 hour day together and bawled my eyes out again.

The 96% mucin is awesome! It’s not sticky, plays well under all moisturizers/creams, & doesn’t pill or react with makeup. I had a weird super rash pop up on my neck that turned out to be an immune thing and the only thing that made me not scratch my neck raw was the 96% serum. A bottle lasts awhile and it goes on sale for about half price pretty frequently (in USD at least). There’s an “all in one” 92% cream too. That’s gooey on your hands and takes awhile to soak in (20 minutes for me), but is otherwise just as good. It goes on sale much less often though.
Those lamps are so cute but man I wasn’t expecting that $250 price tag!

That dry shampoo seems like a great non-aerosol alternative! I've tried a few non-aerosol ones and all the dispensers are terrible, they either don't dispense anything or way too much and it gets everywhere. I was honestly a little shocked watching you apply it and have it actually work haha
I get bad headaches from aerosol so I’ve tried a lot of non aerosol options and find the Briogeo one to be the best for me. The dispenser is odd but I’ve made it work.
R+Co has a non-aerosol spray that works really well too!

Ticonderoga just makes graphite pencils, but they are the best pencils on the planet so it was money well spent. It took me some time to get used to the snail mucin texture (pretty slimy) but it is so hydrating on my dry skin and my dry hot climate. I LOVE it.
I love that you frequently show us around in different lighting and in different rooms so we see more of the effect of the thing you're showing us and we get a better picture of it, how it works or fits or looks, instead of just showing the product and talking about it in the same filming room. Kudos to you for that. It's really appreciated.
Honestly, those cup holders look humungous! Literally my cup holders hold a regular sized coke bottle and is perfectly snug. Yours felt like they could fit a US size extra extra large cup of soda 😂
Yes I feel like they would fit fine in my car. Very pretty for sure.
Reading the comments on Amazon, almost everyone felt the cup coasters were a bit too small.
They are supposed to absorb moisture from drinks like the condensation, not to keep crumbs out or anything. They do work great though, no sticky caked on messes.
Silicone cupcake liners are perfect for vehicle cupholders. They keep the crumbs and mess inside, are very cost effective, and easy to clean!

Could have used the neon pencils when trying to write in the stamped lines 😏😜 also testing the eraser would have been a good idea, most of the time i dont buy regular pencils because the eraser either drops after a few uses or just makes a mess instead of erasing

But sometimes I feel a bit guilty for following influencers who buy and try so many products without really needing them and giving their viewers ideas for what nifty gadget they could order next. Because inherently I do believe that consumerism is one of the biggest problems that we face as a society. Am I alone on this?

I also find it hard to stomach the marketing that is exploiting our guilt and bewilderment over our consumerism. No business or manufacturing of more stuff is 'sustainable'.
An example of exploitative 'sustainability' marketing is the recent release of Mars bars with a 'recyclable' wrapper, which can't actually be recycled in a lot of countries (because the wrappers still contain enough plastic to surpass the contamination threshold, meaning recycling them causes a dangerous level of pollution). The only recycling plants who will process this stuff are offshore, and it uses more energy and fossil fuels shipping it to these places than can ever be offset in the first place. Due to the consumer laws in my country, Mars have actually had actually to put stickers on the bars saying 'CAN NOT BE RECYCLED'. And then they are also still producing Mars bars in their regular wrappers??? It's marketing gone mad.

But yes, I'm so sick of companies greenwashing their products and leading consumers on, just to make even more profit by claiming they're sustainable but don't make any meaningful changes to help fighting the problem. How should we as consumers have an overview of what's good or not?
I follow a few foster parenting youtube channels and I've heard a few talk about these friendship lamps (specifically for children separated from their siblings in foster care). It's cool to finally see what they were talking about

I LOVE the i dew care dry shampoo. i’ve been using it for over half a year and it’s so great. you don’t need much because it definitely does it’s job. piece of advice they taught me in cosmetology school: dry shampoo works best if you use it before bed and sleep with it. i’ve found this particularly true for the IDC powder!
Special Ed teacher here. The dashed middle line writing stamp is a tool that can be very helpful for kids doing ot to improve their writing and letter shapes. So if your child has OT in thir IEP to support writing, this is a way you can carry over the practice work to at home.
A heads up for anyone with shellfish allergies... Snail mucin might give you an allergic reaction, so please beware of your allergic response signs and have treatment easily available!

I'm excited to try the dry shampoo, I just ordered some for myself! I try to use products with cleaner ingredients and this one looks good. I checked all the ingredients on the EWG website and all of them came back with a rating of 3 or less, most of them were 1 (1 is clean, 10 is toxic). I love that it's not aerosol either. I think you found a great product Rachel! Thank you!
UPDATE: I tried the product and it’s amazing! Best dry shampoo I’ve used, in terms of how well it absorbs the oil. I put it on Saturday morning and it’s now Monday evening and my hair still looks clean. I also don’t feel oil where I applied the product. The only issue is that it is chalky, like Rachel said. It might be more noticeable for someone with shiny, healthy-looking hair, but I don’t have that lol. So for me it works really well. It’s so easy to use and I love that there’s no scent.
Girl, I absolutely love that dry shampoo. I will never go back to aerosol dry shampoos. I actually use a make up brush to use it. I agree with the chalky feeling too!

I have the hinge product and it's more for the use of when ur nail polish is to low in the bottle to reach it so it tips to make it easier. Always pull up in straight position or it will break. It does work really good to hold bottles normally too

As someone who lives in South Korea while my family lives in America, I LOVE Friendship Lamps! I can't always call, neither can my family, because we are busy and we live 15 hours away so my sleep time is their awake time and vice versa but we always touch the lamp and let each other know we are thinking of each other in the morning or night. It is a great way to wake up seeing the light lit when you are missing family.
EDIT: My Nephews ( ages 5 and 2) LOVE this lamp as well, we have "light wars" with it where they try to beat me and have their color be the last color. It help too that I will face time them and show them that my lamp is changing or that I will touch my lamp and they can watch their's change color.

CosRX is an amaaaaazing skincare. I was weirded out about the snail mucin but it helps my skin so much. It's great for adding on top of a heavier moisturizer to maintain the moisture
I know they say it takes weeks for skin to show improvement, like 6 weeks any time you start a new skin routine, but I swear I can tell a difference the next day with snail mucin. I have dry sensitive skin and my skin loves the extra barrier.

Nail polish tip from someone with 1200 bottles of nail polish - before capping your bottles, wipe the bottke neck with remover. This will allow your bottles to seal properly, which stops oxidation, which is what causes polishes to thicken. I have polish that is 7+ years old that applies like new. Polishes will separate with time bit once shaken up, they work just like new. Separated polish is not ruined polish.
The i dew care dry shampoos has been on my wishlist for a year…sooo good! Use at night before you go to bed and you’ll wake up with hair that’s clean like you just got out the shower

We have something similar to this and we have a few pairs connected individually and we use them to call individual rooms around the house without shouting to get peoples attention. I personally find shouting to get peoples attention immediately gives off a negative connotation and creates a negative atmosphere without intention. So we use them, in both the workshop, where there's lots of noise, and in the office where they are often in the middle of business that can't be interrupted. Tap once for come here, Twice for dinner time, and three times for I love you/miss you. Make great positive communication.

the cup coasters for your car actually help absorb condensation from your drinks. That is why they are ceramic. I have some and love them. Mine don't exactly fit either but they do still work!
The nail polish holders suction technology reminds me of The red copper mug it does the same thing but no release buttons😊 Yes most car coasters are the same size n you can get them in some $Trees n I sometimes go n look at the school supplies wondering n wishing why those things wernt out when I was in school

I literally use a powder brush and Elf HD translucent powder as dry shampoo. Works wonders and its cheap! I can't use aerosol ones because it makes my hair greasier.

I've been using that COSRX snail mucin for years as an essence (after toner, before serum). Works really well especially if you have dry skin. Hydrating and it helps your serum absorb better. Very wonderful product

Car coasters aren’t really to catch crumbs. It’s my understanding that the uncoated ceramic is supposed to absorb the moisture that accumulates on the outside of cups so the font drip into the cup holders or onto you. 😊

I have a different friendship lamp brand (I originally got it for my ex but my bestie bought one so now we are paired) and ours isn't as fancy with the letting you know via notification and the set up was a little messy at least on my end (think I got an older one), but we are able to choose which color and gave them meanings (green = facetime, white = our card game, pink = love you etc etc.)
Ive used the snail essence fir years and it is so hydrating, which is great because my skin became dry suddenly, and I was struggling to make it hydrated

They have absorbent car coasters! Those are much better than the ceramic. They absorb any liquid from your cups and keep your cup holder clean. Just be sure to check the sizes.
I use the snail serum EVERY DAY. Amazing.
