Are you going to get a tune? That may help with the no clutch shift.

Once I can afford an exhaust I will, the day will come eventually lol. I think the failed shift was all on me. I made an adjustment to the lever and the shift pedal height and probably wasn’t putting enough pressure on the pedal

Question: when you first started riding, were you nervous about traffic and how did you get over that?
NOTE: Not a rider yet finally saved up enough and in a position to afford a motorcycle. ( buying around March)

Oh ya, I was definitely nervous in traffic at the beginning and I’d bet most new riders are. Generally speaking, I think you just get used to it. But for me what really helped my confidence in traffic, and just riding all around, was putting in the work to improve my skills. I still spend a lot of time practicing in parking lots and almost any time I ride I’m working on some aspect of my riding. At the end of the day, we can only control what we can control, and in traffic that’s our vehicle. Knowing how to brake and how hard we can brake, or how to quickly maneuver gives us confidence that we can handle a situation should it arise.
I’m glad to hear the communities getting a new rider! In the meantime, practice leading with your eyes while you’re driving. The sooner we can see an issue the sooner we can take preventative action.

I was a machinist, but I’m about to start school again to tackle a second degree in engineering. Figured it’s a good opportunity to start creating some content as well.
