Good advice for introducing the need for prepping and early strategies. Got all the prepping books I could afford . Best advice for beginning the journey & how was looking at the things you repeatedly purchased. Hugs & blessings Kym , looking forward to the next vids
Great info! I probably have a 2 week supply of food on hand which isn’t enough in my opinion , but space is limited. Lots of space in the garage but temperature fluctuations keep me from storing food out there. I’m thinking those affected with more than usual power outages need as you mentioned, generators and if portable generator also need a supply of gas which can be intimidating to store. Blue Eddies (spelling?) for refrigerators/freezers which are solar powered generators. I’m hearing hurricane victims losing freezers full of food because of no power. There’s so much and it can be pricey. Very excited to hear more of how you are prepped 😊
@@sandyrichmond2570 hi Sandy! I’m hoping I can share things in a simple, non overwhelming way. We all need to be as prepared as is reasonable for the individual. The situation with the hurricanes is heartbreaking
Good morning Kym, Sound advice I have a good supply of food about three weeks as well as an out door grill to cook on as needed and Hello to Frankie :-)
Good videoand tips Kym , one of my pet peeves is why are instruction booklets printed in such small font. , i need readers and additional light , have a wonderful day, thanks for sharing, YAH bless !
I know someone who was injured at work, workers compensation denied the claim (even though several others saw what happened. Now they're trying for Social Security Disability. It's been over two years now and they're still waiting. Fortunately other family members are working but the last thing they heard was that "because there was income going into the house" it might be a long time.
@@patriciaphelps5875 I think it depends on many factors-your age, diagnosis, other family support, and how many years you have worked. I had already worked 42 years but I credit the Lord for helping it go through so quickly. Normally there is 3 in person hearings for denials as well-I had none!
Great info! Have a great day...and feel better...I have things canned, but limited items as I only waterbath can. Even though I am in a neighborhood in a small town and am surrounded by cornfields. I have 3 nearby groceries. Meijer and Kroger and Walmart.. I have noticed recently that things are not always well stocked. Not sure if it is a lack of employees or supply chain issues.
I shop very differently than most people I know. I like to stock up a year's worth of food each Fall. It goes well with preserving my garden's harvest. My dream is to reach the point where I don't need to buy any produce as it has all come from my garden. I'm definitely not there yet but hopefully over the next few years I can reach it. I like having Fall harvest prices all year and buying in bulk is much cheaper too. I also feel better about any storms, illness, or whatever that might hit over the winter. As a nurse, I'm not always home for storms so I like my family to have what they need. Great video...looking forward to more on this topic!
Hi Kym, thanks all good and useful information as we go into winter. I have enough put by to get me through a blip, I'm sure I could make food last way longer as well if I need to - snacking would be on hold 😅 Love to you Frankie and the girls ❤️ 🐔🐱

SSI takes about three years in AZ also. Shameful because you cannot work at all even part time.
