We have something similar to this in the US. Over here in Kansas City is a restaurant called Fritz's Railroad Restaurant. They serve your typical diner fare of burgers, chicken fried steak and more. When you go there, you take a booth seat. They have a phone that automatically connects to your server to take your orders. Once the the order is complete, they put it in a box that rests on a platform just below a train. As the order is heading your way, they blow the train whistle. The reason why it's delivered by train is because the restaurant is a couple minutes from the BNSF Railroad and rail yard.
I first tried Kushikatsu in Dotonbori with the 'Angry Faced Man' mascot in the front, where you had to actually dip the sauce (and avoid double dipping) Glad you can now pour over the sauce nowadays. It was really good but I wish I could it with some rice.
Kushi Katsu looks Very Tasty 😄 Some of the restaurants in Japan uses Very High Tech system. Even the train carries Kushikatsu. It's very Nice! Thank you for sharing the video 😄
That is a taxi. In Japan, many taxi operators continue to utilize "Toyota Comfort" automobiles which are purpose built to serve as taxis. Due to vigorous maintenance protocols, those particular taxis are suited for multiple decades of service.
Yes... I did it... and I ran to my fridge only to discover I have only boring food. These videos can course need for eat. It looks so tasty (only exception the pork thing for me as a Muslim...)
Looks delicious. That fried mozzarella needs Italian tomato sauce. The cabbage reminds me of cole slaw. I think the asparagus is my favorite, but everything looked delicious.
I’m wondering how did they get egg, flour and breadcrumbs to stay on tomatos.🤔 For years I would see Katsu curry on RUclips like your video and drool. We couldn’t find it where I live in the uk & we don’t have any Japanese restaurants 😢 so when I saw it on a menu omg! Delicious, it didn’t disappoint, I ate it yesterday too. Just a ready prepared, cook katsu chicken in the oven to cook and crisp, then microwave rice and curry. It was ok, nice because I hadn’t had it in a while. 🌸
Kushikatsu is my fave Osaka food and I ate a lot of it in Osaka on my last trip. In Tokyo, I visit a chain called Kushizaru that is just as good so I hope you guys get to try it when you return home.
I ate at Daruma shinsekai once, their kushikatsu was good but oh but! Their doteyaki which is recommended by the staff was what make me come back for another visit in the future 😁. I missed those big stainless steel no double dipped container sauce. It’s not feel like kushikatsu without that thing. 😞
Can you do the next video about seibuen yuenchi(amusement park) video! It’ll be a great video! This is a renewal amusement park in 2021 this is a retro theme showa era style amusement park for fun
I would definitely love the pork with Kim chee.. and I’d love to try the beef one and of course the veggies! It surprised me to see you get unlimited cabbage leaves. We get unlimited bread rolls in the US.. (extra carbs😂) I would go for some cabbage leaves and sauce every once in a while! 😊 I love your videos!!!
You need to do a Japanese television show where you come to America and Canada then travel around tasting all the odd foods here and sampling the general weirdness of the US. Take the AMTRAK and stop off in big and small towns trying out the food. Most of our food isn't healthy like Japan and most is fried, however, I think it could make for a 30 minute or 60 minute TV show. You could travel through the South trying out the different kinds of BBQs or the Midwest eating Hamburgers, etc. It could be like Michael Portillo BBC "Great Railway Journeys" but about food.
That was wonderful. I think the first one was scallop? That looked good. The others ones I would pick would be the asparagus and the cherry tomato. What was the sauce like? Salty, fruity? Let us know!
It's so great they had many veggie options! I'm a vegetarian and would love to travel to Japan, but I'm a little scared that I may not find many food options. It's nice to see we are taken into account. Thank you guys for the video!
1. Kushikatau Daruma only serves Kushikatau. 2. The Kushikatau sauce (blend of Worcestershire, soy sauce, ketchup, and sugar) is the only sauce available at the restaurant.
as much as you guys seemed to be enjoying yourselves - I won’t be joining you this time - am wheat intolerant so no soy and no batter - could eat the cabbage 🙄 sorry - maybe next time I can join you 🙏🇨🇦😷
For me I would like the beef and the pork ones and I would definitely adore the Mozzarella Sticks being I used to get them anytime me and my mom had to get take out because we would be coming back home too late to cook dinner. We would go to this little fast food place called Zipz Express which is just down the street from where we lived so we were pretty much regulars at Zipz. I really miss them.
My suggestion to anyone going to any kushikatsu place is to keep cabbage on the plate while putting sauce over the kushikatsu. The cabbage absorb not only the sauce but also any fat from the skewer.
Oh wow, a few ppl did guess correctly. I had no clue as I’ve never been to Osaka. But I’m loving this video, as I always do with your content. Hope ur Hawaiian adventure is fantastic! ✌🏻💕😊 EDIT: I thought everything looked good except the pork belly. I don’t eat the fat on meat, especially pork. I will only eat bacon if it’s fully cooked in the oven or air fryer. I don’t like bacon cooked like it usually is in Asian cooking…I cannot tolerate the texture of fat on meat, so I always trim it off after cooking and you can’t do that with pork belly. The mozzarella looks good, but I could probably only eat one. I’m not exactly lactose intolerant, but I am sensitive to softer cheeses. However, the mozzarella in Japan must not be as salty as the mozzarella in the US, because adding salt would be a bit over the top here. Of course that’s just my opinion. I would definitely eat it with the sauce like Satoshi. 😃☺️ *when I eat deep fried mozzarella sticks here I like to dip them in cocktail sauce (a horseradish & ketchup mixture), but most ppl dip them in marinara sauce* 😋
@Aþort Mən ×͜× People in kushikatsu restaurants where they have a big tub of shared sauce on the counter (which I've always thought was a bad idea) and signs warning newbs against double dipping. To get around this they have little bits of flat cabbage to scoop an extra lot of sauce onto what you've already bitten into. Japanese cabbage tends to be less bitter also.
I'm so addicted to katsu. Kushikatsu looks like with smaller pieces you get like 4 TIMES the crunch. YUM!
Deep-fried food on a stick! I understand this! 😄

I forgot to mention the little train takes your order to your booth.
I love your videos. Thank you so much for showing me what Japan looks like when you want to enjoy food. You are amazing!
I was so DROOLING and yes had to swallow the drool . As it made me want to be there with you two eating that yummy food .

Very convenient, and when you are done they can send the defibrillator down on the little train!
Conveyor belt kushikatsu! What an amazing idea!

Definitely will try someday.
I am hoping to visit Osaka one day. Food looks tasty here!!
Talk about a healthy alternative to fried chips! I’ve never tried raw cabbage like that, before. They’d be welcome with all of that fried food! :)
Yum!!! What was the first one? I like fish and veggies. That’s what I’d choose. Thank you
What a fun meal!

What else kind of tomato sauce is there?
@@mobius273 true, but I just wanted everyone to know!!!!
nope would of been better with tomato puree or salsa.

Great video, you should record taking a bite of the food

They all looked good. I would of ate the mozzarella and tomato together. Perfect combo.
We have a Korean BBQ place that has conveyer belt that brings your food also. The food is excellent there!
Mozzarella cheese sticks are very tasty with salt and really tasty dipped in warm pizza sauce, l mildly garlicky with a hint of Italian herbs.

맛있는 음식을 드셨군요!!
Hooray, I was correct in assuming kushikatsu was your upcoming dish of choice in Osaka! Looks so wonderful.
Everything looked delicious. What was in the sauce?
Kushikatsu sauce is a blend of Worcestershire, soy sauce, ketchup, and sugar.
I liked the prawns the best.

Was this place cheaper or more expensive that the one you went to with your mother and sister?
Apart from the cabbage, was there anything there that wasnt fried?
Chugga..Chugga....yum...yum..
❤ love from India❤
👏😋 💕
Japan is the bees knees of civilisation.
It looks really nice 😀
I have 2 questions:
1. Do they only serve kushikatsu?
2. Do they have other sauces as well?
1. Kushikatau Daruma only serves Kushikatau.
2. The Kushikatau sauce (blend of Worcestershire, soy sauce, ketchup, and sugar) is the only sauce available at the restaurant.
And Meryl Streep was like....STUFF?
That looks delicious, one thing I was wondering about. Can one get some tomato sauce on the side?
All with the same sauce on it?
The sauce looked soy sauce based. Was it just soy sauce or something else? What did it taste like? I loved the mascot guy but he looked so angry.😆
Kushikatsu sauce is a blend of Worcestershire, soy sauce, Ketchup, and sugar.
@@restaurantman Thank you😊
This looks awesome, can't wait for Japan to finally be open next summer.
I would eat more cabbage than the actual dish...cabbage is delicious but both looks amazing
Did u get a stomach ache from all that fried food? But no taters or any vegetables, the cabbage doesn’t count. Hehe ✌️. Michele Clovis CA🦋
Do they have english menu?
The tablet ordering devices at the table offer an English language option.

They solved the whole "don't double dip" issue by putting the sauce in a bottle. But they still give you cabbage leaves? Weird.
