I love the miso soup that is usually available with every sushi meal here. and it just has tiny bits of Miso and Nori so That Miso Ramen from Shodai looks incredible!
-When you go to Hawaii it would be cool if you had homestyle Spam musubi and then maybe a more high-end restaurant version 👍

I'm sure you guys have gone to the Ramen Museum in Shin-Yokohama as well. This place reminds me of there a little...lots of ramen shops from all over Japan. You can get slightly smaller "mini" bowls there as well so you might be able to try more than one style.

The gondolas are a cool way to get a good view of Yokohama! What was the price of a round-trip ticket, if I may ask? The ramen looked wonderful. Sadly, I don't have a favorite ramen restaurant. I make vegan ramen at home with a miso/mushroom based broth and lots of veggies. It's not as unctuous as a meat-based ramen, but it's very good. I love soft serve ice cream too, and the ""elephant trunk" presentation was ultra cute.
I know you're both very excited to be going back to Oahu! Have a fabulous, joyful reunion with your family, Shinichi! Relax, eat well, and don't work too hard, please. E pili mau na pomaika`i ia `oe.

One way is ¥1,000 and RT ¥1800 (according to the website)….I’m no fan of heights, but this kind of gondola would be a nice way to view the city, especially at night.

What a fun gondola ride! I think, even I would put my big girl panties on, and ride it. What a fun way to see the city. Thank you for sharing the yummy bowls of ramen. I absolutely love shoyu or miso ramen with charsiu, menma, and moyashi. Zou no Hana-what a cute name for an ice cream shop. They did such a great job creating the elephants trunk!! Thank you both for yet another fun adventure!! ♥️♥️

Really pretty views from the gondola...... I love ramen, especially when I discovered that there was more to it than the 50 cents bags of powder and noodles from the grocery store. Authentic ramen with homemade broth, chasu, and other toppings is great on a cool or cold day. Yummy! Thanks for sharing your ramen adventure....... For your Hawaii trip, I would be interested in seeing the types of restaurants and foods that locals eat on a day-to-day basis. That is, step away from just the tourist trap pig roasts.....

The gondola ride seemed lovely and has me hoping my family is interested in riding them in Gatlinburg, TN. I live in Memphis, TN and have only had ramen twice. I have allergies that make it hard to accommodate me. I was blessed to be served at a pop-up event during their slow time and they could work with me to make it safely. I’d love to go again now that their shop is open.

Love the gondola. The views were lovely.
We don’t have any ramen shops where I live. The closest one is over an hour away, so I make my own ramen. Ive tried a couple different kinds. There is a great Asian market that I found about a year ago and I can get prepared broths that are made in-house. My favorites are miso and their milk based broths. I’ve also found some great recipes online and I use Satoshi’s miso soup recipe when I make my own. 😊 I even bought a gorgeous ramen set from Amazon. It came with 4 of each: ramen bowls, ladles/spoons, beautiful chopsticks and adorable matching chop stick rests. I adore it and I’m thinking of getting another set with a different pattern/scene. Thanks for sharing....it was an excellent video, as always. ✌🏻🥰😊
*omgoodness...I just realized the ice cream is an elephant! So cool* 😀

Please don't feel obligated to make videos. Instead, focus on spending quality time with your mom, sisters and nephews. Not certain if there are any nearby. However, if you have to make videos, focus on places that you can only see in Hawaii, such a fresh pineapple stands and Hawaiian food, such a kakigori. Take care. And, keep up the awesome work.

You asked for my favorite ramen place, so here’s my offering to The Algorithm on your behalf.
The best ramen I’ve had yet was at Sumire, the Sapporo-style ramen shop in Kyoto Station’s Ramen Street. The salty, slightly sweet, and complex flavor of miso makes it a winner for me, and nothing beats thick, chewy noodles. There’s a carafe of fish broth by every space on the counter at Sumire, so you can lighten the broth to your taste. I’ve been chasing the ramen high ever since I got back from Japan, but I’ve failed so far. Wish me luck - or better yet, an end to COVID so I can visit Japan again!
