Kia EV6 is as good as it gets for an EV, but ICEs and hybrids are better value for money and will remain so for years to come. Presently there is no adequate infrastructure for EVs in most countries, they take too long to recharge, the batteries degrade too quickly, they're too heavy, and cost too much. The only way governments can wean people off ICEs is by diktat.
Where do you charge your cell phone, tablet, laptop or operate your desk top computer every day? That's where most people in the world will charge their electric vehicle. They'll charge after midnight, when most people are sleeping. A 2 door Ford Mustang combustion engine coupe weighs approximately 3,900 pounds. Add a full tank of gas and the weight is above 4,000 pounds. That's about what a 5 door all wheel drive electric Tesla Model 3 weighs. Electricity is everywhere. It takes electricity to pump and pay for gasoline and diesel. These expensive EVs are not meant for emerging countries with many poor people.
@@dvader3263 Home charging won't do if all your neighbours have EVs. The power grid today is inadequate for such load. And where will you charge the car if you live in a city apartment building and park the car downstairs in an open lot? Sure, 577HP. Use that and you can only drive 100 miles. Even if you are on a long trip, in Canada, it's only rated at 332KM. Except that's from 100 to 0 which you will never do. You're going to look for a charger at 10% or so. That means the first leg you can go 300km, so at 120km/h that's 2.5 hours. Every leg after on your trip that's under 2 hours since you can only fast charge from 10-80. What's the good of 577HP if you have to stop for 20 minutes to an hour every 2 hours anyway?
Y'all really gonna call this car pricy when y'all just bought a Tesla Model 3 that is a lot less practical, has worse build quality, worse infotainment and interior ergonomics, and looks bland in comparison for similar money? 🙄
Not to mentioned everything is controlled on a screen on the Tesla, which they bullied other manufacturers for doing the same thing...Hypocrisy of it all!!

EVs are so stupid. No matter how good they are they all suffer from range issues and you need massive amounts of raw materials. In order to mine these raw elements you have to destroy massive amounts of earth, then have you ever seen these mines in Africa that use child labor? Then these minerals have to put on massive ships that burn 1,000s of gallons of diesel, refined , shipped to another location several times sometimes to a location on the other side of the planet. This is all before it car put into cars. Mercedes and GM tired EVs in the past but they didn't work. EVs are one big political statement. They are also a way of controlling population movement.
Mercedes and GM have new ev models . All cars as well as electronics have parts that have to be moved across on ships. How do you control population versus gas / diesel if you can’t make your own gas/diesel? What range issues? Most are 250+ miles range . I have a gas a diesel and an electric car. Electric is very good for commute driving to save on gas and they’re quiet. You also don’t need to worry about going to a gas station or care about gas prices with an electric vehicle.
Uhh, the same amount of environmental damage is caused by the exploration for oil. I've seen the direct results of this destruction on family farmland.
There are no free rides. If people want to have personal forms of transportation that are not self powered, there will be an ecological price to pay. EV's clearly do less damage to the environment than ICE vehicles do, especially in terms of air pollution. EV's aren't "good" for the environment, but they definitely are relative to ICE vehicles. It seems pretty disingenuous to claim EV's are "stupid" because there are some environmental issues with them, while being perfectly fine with ICE vehicles, just saying. Also regarding the child labor situation, yeah it's bad. However, that has nothing inherently to do with EV's. Child labor is used for all manner of things in places where local authorities allow it. It's not like battery manufacturers are demanding these materials be mined with child labor, or else.
@@lesalbro8880 Have you seen how these minerals are mined with people bear hands at times? Yes demanding that companies adhere to child labor is something that people can do by not buying these cars. Anyone that has one of these cars is supporting child labor and is final. You can not debate that child labor is EVIL (MermaidMan). If you are only concerned about one type of pollution you are hypocrite. You yourself is putting something over the quality of the something else and that is destruction/pollution of the land. You are probably correct that EVs are better, that is if you are just measure there CO2 output and nothing else. To say they are greener is incorrect if you don't examine how they are made. It is far by a vast amount cheaper and greener to build an ICE car then an EV. A study from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Energy Initiative found that the battery and fuel production for an EV generates higher emissions than the manufacturing of an automobile.

Nope it’s not
Compared to other electrics, maybe. But too pricey compared to the rest, just like all but a few EVs.
Who the hell would pay 60+K for a Kia lmao
Fast car but EV heartless vehicle. Fun is hearing that engine beat.
And how are you going to drive your car to see your mom who lives in the country 500 miles away? And how are you going to drive your family from Indianapolis to Pensacola, 730 miles, for their winter escape?
When gasoline gets to 5euros/lt, you'll leave your ice car parked.
That's how they'll separate you from your ice car. No diktat needed.
@@ΤηλέμαχοςΜελισσουργάκης Where I live gasoline price is determined by the market, not by the government. Right now it's about $3.50/gallon, which we consider rather expensive. It may come down, depending on the outcome of the forthcoming 2024 election. This is how you can fight $5/l gas prices in EU. Vote them and their energy policies out of office.
Let Doug Demuro be Doug Demuro. Trying way too hard to have his style lol.
Lexus ev is 60k as I understand it with the same crappy mileage
Model 3 Performance is just as fast, more head room and gets over 100 miles more range for less
Plus it's a KIA.
This thing is barely worth the scrap value much less 63k for a KIA LMAO
In short, no
It would be worth it if it had 300 to 500 miles of range.
It's like saying... a ferrari would be worth it, if it burned 5 lt per 100km
Can someone explain to me from TFL, why you guys hammered other manufacturers for not having physical buttons in their vehicles, but bought a Tesla that has to be controlled by one big screen? It's the hypocrisy for me!
Probably because Tesla is all about the minimalism and since there's no buttons at all, why fight it?
@@ChrisKellyPrime You didn't get my post. They were complaining about not having physical buttons on current cars. They bought one that don't have physical buttons. I don't know about you, but that's what I call a "hypocrite"
Did you not listen to the video? They bought it as the basis for comparisons with other EVs. Plain and simple.
@@michaelbuczkowski9057 I don't care! The fact is that they bought it..PERIOD! They could've had someone lend their Tesla for demo purposes.
You obviously don't understand how they do business.
No KIA will ever be worth 63k
Sure, 577HP. Use that and you can only drive 100 miles.
Even if you are on a long trip, in Canada, it's only rated at 332KM. Except that's from 100 to 0 which you will never do. You're going to look for a charger at 10% or so. That means the first leg you can go 300km, so at 120km/h that's 2.5 hours. Every leg after on your trip that's under 2 hours since you can only fast charge from 10-80.
What's the good of 577HP if you have to stop for 20 minutes to an hour every 2 hours anyway?
For that amount of coin, I would go Tesla Model Y Performance instead of a Kia.
it's a wagon
*the correct Answer is NO, it is not worth it, car are built by robots so the price should be cheaper*
Hunh? The margins for car companies is not very high.
Real men buy American 🇱🇷
No electric car is worth that price. Not even close to it!!!!
Y'all really gonna call this car pricy when y'all just bought a Tesla Model 3 that is a lot less practical, has worse build quality, worse infotainment and interior ergonomics, and looks bland in comparison for similar money? 🙄
😂true!!😂
Not to mentioned everything is controlled on a screen on the Tesla, which they bullied other manufacturers for doing the same thing...Hypocrisy of it all!!
Was thinking the same thing! After that video yesterday this video is being very hypocritical of Kia! They should have bought an ev6 or ioniq 5!
Ridiculous comment. Model 3 performance is better value.
@@jraheemjefcoat429 Except it's not. Most things you interact with while driving are physical buttons on a Tesla, despite what you read on an internet blog
No, it is way OVER priced....I own a Chevy Bolt EUV....for 1/2 the price and just as good.
Not a fan of ev's
Your thumbnail game rly needs work that cut crop and paste job is horrible:D
Lmao why would anyone buy this over a model y performance. Literally better in every single aspect.
If you're OK with 180 mile range for $70k, yes, but model y has well over 300 mile range and is just as fast, and best charging infrastructure,
@@tonyn3227 A lot of owners get from the car better range than EPA claim. Even on youtube you can easily find tests where they did more on the highway than the EPA combined.
Ironically says the guy with with a Bernie pfp. Ask Bernie why or Any pro labor person or Anyone who believes in Democracy. Or any Other of the 10,000 other reasons
No it's not worth the money
First
63 thousand for Korean junk ... only TFL
No kia is worth 63k.
This one is easily!
There isnt an EV made that is worth what it costs.
Chevy Bolt EV/EUV is the only one I can think of that is.
Or gas
There are several ev models that are cheaper than the average cost of a new car such as the bolt/Kona/niro
There isn't an ICE made that is worth what it costs. All vehicles are overpriced.
Your mom🎉
🇺🇸➡️ ONLY vehicles worth over
$60k:
1. LAND CRUISER / LX F
2. S CLASS CABRIOLET
3. LS500
4. ESCALADE
5. PORSCHE 911 GT
Everything else should be $25k or below. Especially, RC EV TOY CARS.... TESLA, IONIQ, ETC.
Lease a Hyundai / Kia, buy a Tesla.
I would stay way 100km for kia and hundia products
They are really reliable cars, well built and good performance.
Meanwhile, Hyundai is blaming Ioniq 5 and EV6 owners for the 12V lead-acid battery failing every few months.
Electric Viking just covered this topic
