- Howdy everyone.
Did you ever want to simulate grain, sand, or jell-o? Then this learning experience will bring you up to speed in exactly this topic. In under 5 minutes, I'll show you the very basic b3d setup of a regular molecular+ scene, plus some additions like breaking, and linking grains together.
Please join me and learn how to use molecular+ for your own Blender3D scenes and motion design projects.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge, hope you make more of molecular, fracture etc :)
Thanks for this wonderful video, David.
I am trying to achieve simple vibration in hundreds of atoms in a cube system. I can create the cube containing lots of atoms through the emitter option that you just showed. But to show that in the solid material, atoms are constantly vibrating, I need some random shakiness among these atoms. I played with the force fields(turbulence, wind, magnetic) but couldn't achieve the effect. Also could not find the answer on the internet yet.
It would be helpful if you could make a video on that. Thanks again
how do you make the texture at 0:00? I have the texture just cant get the material to create a pattern over all of them
Great tutorial and presentation.
Thank you very much, glad you like it. 🙏😍
Very nice David, thanks for sharing!
Glad you like it, Mark. Love your work. 🥰
@@StrangerObjects Thanks mate yours too.
INCRIDIBLE YOU NEED MORE SUBSCRIBER ❤
Thanks a ton 🫶
Cool tutorial!!!
How to make that for example the object was maximally filled with particles and it was not visible before the start of the animation that it consists of parts?
how to add a texture to a molecular cube? when I add a texture, each molecular applies it separately
wonderful tutorial. How are you getting different colors
Thank you so much
Hi, great tutorial! Would you be willing to publish the project file of the intro shot?
Does anyone know how to start calculations of this add on stimulations NOT FROM THE FRAME ZERO?
i try this and it's awesome but i can't make it as a video the animation not showen in render how i can fix this please help
is there a way to make the object / sand more rock like than jelly?
Thanks! Subscribed. Hope everything is fine and one day you'll be back to RUclips with cool Blender tuts (pls consider GeoNodes)
Excuse me, i can not convert the baking to a normal object even though i converted it to mesh or apply the modifier, what can i do
Again thank you for the amazing tutorial 😍
Thanks for stopping by. 🙏😍
Thanks!
What is the difference between Molecular+ and the regular Molecular plugin version?
i did all the steps,
hiding the emitter from viewport and render, display as render, all that
and the 3d grid only shows as a wireframe version of the cube, and yes, i've given it a material
please can you help me fix it?
thanks
definitely using this for a project ! is there a control as far as how many particles spawn or size of the particle ?
Yes you can do that in the particle tab in the emission section. Also one you have selected an object to for it to instance bellow that you should see an option for scale and then scale randomness.
please how to increase the number or the quantity of the sphere inside the cube ?
1:14 when he adjusts the size it adjusts the quantity
wish you could make them more ridged
Fantastic video! I didn't know about this addon, and I find it super useful. Can I ask you how to add materials? I read another comment where you mentioned adding a material to the cube, but it doesn't affect the animation, which remains white
Same here, I've checked many other molecular+ vids & no one does the material for some reason. U convert to geonodes then drag the emitter or grid (the create) from the collection onto the geo_instance geometry nodes. Connect location to selection then add set material. Idk I was messing around & found out, idk how to do multiple colors though
hi i like the soft body simulation but i want to unlink all of of them and want that each of them have soft body, how can i do that ? thanks
Honestly I don't know. And I believe that Molecular's use case can not cover that. But I'm no expert on this topic.
@@StrangerObjects no problem, i found a say to convert particles to objects, thanks anyway (ctrl +L to link object data to selected one)
Can addon accomplish what the partical sim "Storm" can?
I don't know this storm sim addon
@@StrangerObjects it's a granular solver as well as a fluid sim. Smaller and not well known but good. The UI is decent, definitely not for beginners but well worth looking into.
I picked up there molecular+ and discovered that it does indeed have many similar properties but not as powerful as Storm.
Thanks for the heads up 🙏🏽
How come when I set the end frame to 250 it changes it to 1250?
you proaply just didnt delete all the r framines
how get color?
Add a material to the cube
Where's the documentation?
Hi, I have a problem with rendering. When i try to render, particles are invisible but in viewport they are visible.
You need to switch their visibility in the particles settings to object .
@@StrangerObjects I tried but can't see anything in render?
my mistake, I forgot to shade the linking object, it is visible. can I link the same object for multiple mesh?
How do u color it tho
create a material, go to base color, then change the color to you liking
Hmmm. there is no molecular+ tab on sidebar... oops, my fault, it was wrong addon selected.
How to add color?
Did you figure it out?
material on the isophere
you have to change "Render As" from "material" to "object" in your "Partical Properties" Tab, go to Render>Render As>
And make sure you select what object you're trying to turn those little dots into
bro how can i slow it speed its dropping so fast
My best guess would be to reduce the gravity ☺️
UNFORTUNATELY, i haven't seen a video yet where it is being explained for users with no coding skills how to actually INSTALL this Add-On
It seems that it doesn't work in 3.5
@@StrangerObjects it doesn't works in 2.92 as well
@@StrangerObjects it works in 3.5- July 11th
Can you post the link of the Version you are using?
@@StrangerObjects Im on 3.5.0 but its not posted, not sure why.
