Mike, I am glad that after all these sitting in an enclosed aircraft, you are beginning the joys flying a flexwing aircraft. The Revo designed by Larry Mednick is the Ferrari among tikes.
I have been around this triking sport and these types of aircraft since almost the very beginning. I started with a "JetWing" trike which goes a long way back. This trike is designed and manufactured to the very highest standards possible. $120K is not an unreasonable price for this particular type of aircraft. If your flying needs are beyond the scope of this machine's abilities, then I recommend that you seek out other flying options. Most of the comments being made here are reflective of a lack of knowledge and experience with these types of aircraft. Thanks for the review Mike. As always, your aviation related activities are of good content and interest.
4:05 Seating arrangement and controls reminds me of "sliding tandem" on the Elementary School playground. Remember how you and a friend would lock together and go down the sliding-board together?
Questions Mike 1. What's its NM range? 2. Its cruseing speed? 3. Altitude ceiling? 4. Max weight take off? Is there a weight limit to the weight of a man/woman u can take while having a full tank of fuel 5. Maintenance costs?
Isn't the external fuel gauge intended for use when filling, as a precaution against overfilling? Because I can imagine it would be very difficult to lean your head over the side in 50 plus mph of wind and read it. The internal fuel gauge is intended to be used during flight, surely
It is very good.. but cost is too high that will limit most of customers including me..it is by far more expensive than 2020 Toyota TACOMA/ Mercedes GLK 2020... No way
Too expensive, seriously with this range and the price, I think I will go for other options which more comfortable than this. Good try and thanks for the video.
There is this guy on RUclips who flies a yellow one above LA basin and has great vids. The things that interests me is how come this is LSA? With LSA you can build times toward CPL and of course towards 1500hrs for airlines. If you build time in this it won't do much good. So how come FAA missed that one?
@@ChopperChad the thing is that it might be a cheaper option for those who seek to get to the airlines and due to a gap in the regulations this can be used, while in reality is totally useless.
@@flightdoctordre7429 I think it is powered aircraft. As far as I know some balloon time works too. It is true that gives an experience to some degree, but still...
does anybody have a spare seat to go to oshkosh im a student pilot and would love to start getting involved in the aviation community im in socal the palm springs area thanks
It seems like a well built vehicle with dual controls in nice alu and complex precision body surfaces so for that the price seems good. My problem with it however is that all that complexity could have taken the form of a proper plane with range, speed and weather handling. The sea-avio Risen can go 2000km on that fuel tank and fly 3x faster. Using the same engine. Granted a lot more expensive but the VL3 Evolution is not much more expensive and performs similar. A proper plane could have low stall speed too with a deep wing and high angle of attack/big flaps if that was the goal. A weightshift trike to me is a barebones ultralight poor man's plane but they built it at plane complexity and cost. As an aside, I'm a little puzzled by the rudder situation of such a design... I guess the whole body of it is the rudder?
Hi Dan, Fellow Dane here - I fly one of these for intro-rides and instruction in Arizona. The yaw stability primarily comes from the delta shape of the wing, but also as you say, the fuselage, in particular the extended wheel spats. The rudder like attachments at the ends are electrical trims to compensate for slight turning tendencies in the flexwing, which might chance based on humidity, temperature etc. ........ Flex wings are black arts .-) Nobody fly these for practical reasons .....then go buy a fixed wing for range and speed. No, you fly them because it is the most amazing way of moving through the air - this is flying in its original form - nothing like sitting hight on your airborne goldwing in t-shirts and shorts flying over the desert. Check it out: ruclips.net/video/oRWlqnHM9p4/видео.html
Congratulation ,but tooo expensive..! Like this ,is Tanarg from Air Creation but 1/3 cheaper..! The best Flight Trike for me is Eagle V..,the Firma is in Berlin..!
I would like more information on performance... And at 100k can the copit be inclosed.....😊 No sure if I see an advantage at 100k over regular aircraft..😊

Besides the price,Trike is so much fun and safe to fly,as much as you make it.
Beautiful trike
Love your videos ... keep it up !!
Looks so fun, but way too much at $100k
That thing could do some crazy STOL.
Beautiful trike 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍
Nice video
$85,000 dollars for that ? are they having a laugh : )
What's the takeoff distance and Landing distance? How short take off, how short Landing??
Fantastic! very nice aircraft it's good looking
It is very good.. but cost is too high that will limit most of customers including me..it is by far more expensive than 2020 Toyota TACOMA/ Mercedes GLK 2020... No way
If you have the opportunity it would be great to see a review of the vashon ranger
How much cost the training. Or the license course
Too expensive, seriously with this range and the price, I think I will go for other options which more comfortable than this. Good try and thanks for the video.
This looks like fun is this expensive to get into how does one do this
I love your videos man
Trim feature is cool 😎
Thanks, Mike you did an excellent job. Is that located down by Zephyr hills?

After Watching this video I actually got in contact with Larry And he had a REV 4 sail. Get it . So I got it it’s awesome
Did you really?
Yes
What kind of speed does it have?
This thing is a cool toy. Thanks for putting up the video, Mike edit: dude you had to be nervous about going up in this bad boy
I was hella nervous 😁 but the flight went shockingly well
I saw a video where a pair make a world journey with a Air trike since 5 years now.
how much price
Have you ever done a research on a Europa aircraft
Price?
Hi sir only wing reat how much
How much engine Cc or RPM
Where did you get it?
It's no Bristell. But if you like flying motorcycles it's perfect.
does anybody have a spare seat to go to oshkosh im a student pilot and would love to start getting involved in the aviation community im in socal the palm springs area thanks

Good bird
beautifull aircraft and you can have a lot of fun on it but the price is to high
Take it for a spin
$85,000 for a toy airplane. 250 miles max range is NO GOOD. Won't even safely make Dallas from Oklahoma City.
Congratulation ,but tooo expensive..! Like this ,is Tanarg from Air Creation but 1/3 cheaper..! The best Flight Trike for me is Eagle V..,the Firma is in Berlin..!
Realistically probably between 26k
Show!
I would like more information on performance... And at 100k can the copit be inclosed.....😊 No sure if I see an advantage at 100k over regular aircraft..😊
Should have started with the price, I wouldn't have watched the whole video.
Loooolllll Mike..
For over 100K? I'll take an old Bonanza. Thanks!
No doubt, at this price range there are a lot of older aircraft you could buy.
Third Cat Perfect! Nothing wrong with that. Old Bonanzas fly better than brand new Pipers or Cessna’s :)
A review is not complete without flying the aircraft.
Looks like fun but not that much fun
Oh hell o. People died in this.

Too much $$ for what it is compared to fixed wing
🧙♂️👍👌🏼🤙👨🚀
Pricey for a trike. 😒 I'd rather put the $ towards a real aircraft.
"a real aircraft" LOL
very expensive toy
