A small suggestion, the Galleon S201 Cargo Hold in place of the Deimos hulls on the sides of the ship right below the docker help make the silhouette of the ship more sleek while also contributing to more cargo space. Other than that, I love your builds! Great job on bringing the Serenity to Starfield; it looks amazing!
Great build. It's amazing that people know all the parts and their shapes from all the different sources and manufacturers to fit them together into well-known ships.

Just as I was thinking about how to tackle the Serenity with Starfield's ship builder, I come across your video by random chance. I gotta say, hats off to you sir, you nailed it. It's probably the closest one can get with the parts available in the base game. Personally I have built myself a Star Destroyer, unfortunately Starfield's built-in limitations mean it can't be as massive as it should be (looking forward to mods that remove those restrictions), but it is still a beast of a ship with all systems maxed.

I named my character Malcolm Reynolds and if I remember correctly they assign a number value to each position of each slider in the character creator. So someone could release a list of the values needed for each slider to recreate Mal or whoever.
@@mackenzieoakes5661 I found someone that used Imgur to share his sliders. It kinda looks like him. But his cheeks seem kinda chubby. We could go to an Enhance and share our slider settings to preview each other’s Malcolm’s to see which is better.
LOL I don't think it was more than 2 hours ago I was wondering how well I could build Serenity in this game. Yours may not be an exact replica, but it is really cool! Watching the showcase at the end had me smiling the entire time.

Thanks for this. *Edit* --- Unfortunately I don't have the skill of Starship Design Rank 4 (or even Rank 1 yet) to actually finish this build. I also haven't had enough money to finish parts of it either but like a kid saving up his allowance to buy that thing he really wants... I save every penny I get to spend on this ship because I'm determined to live out my Firefly fantasy. It's currently flyable but without main engines, weapons or decent power/gravdrive/shields... it's too risky to fly atm.
I finally was able to build this. It is functional, but there are a few pieces I can't get just yet as I need a higher level. I have an issue with mine though. The ladder into the control station from the armory is a bit bugged. Looking up the ladder, it looks like a ceiling and I can't jump with my booster into the hab, but I can take the ladder up. Looking down into the armory, visually it looks normal, but I can't hop down as there is an invisible floor. But again I can take the ladder down. I went back through and rebuilt the ship step by step but still same issue. Some comments: Good attempt for sure! Looking at reference pictures, there are a few pieces I would change, like the top making it look more like a central hab like the "real" ship; and possibly getting rid of the small side engines and adding a central one in the back, but that will take more heavy modification. I'll have to play with it some though. Also, curious why you didn't use another storeroom or companionway on the side engines above the storeroom, rather than a Deimos Hull A. They are non-functional anyway, was just curious. Until I take the time to spend hours trying to make my own version, this takes care of my itch haha.
Amazing! I was waiting to see someone build 4 ships in Starfield and this was the top one with the others being A Battlestar, the Millennium Falcon, and a Gonanti cruiser.
Well done. I really like ship building with no mods. A suggestion, if you have to put a screen showing you, put it on the left lower side, so we can see the statistics of the ship.

So this is really cool. Like I enjoy the fact that the pieces aren't just aesthetic on the outside but also make for a functional ship on its interior too. So yeah cool stuff. My one thought is that while the interior view was great, I wish it was an actual tour, that is walkthrough, rather than cinematic of rooms but not the connecting pieces.
This is perfect. It took me some time, but I finally made the connection of the FreeStar Collective to Firefly. Been my some of my favorite locations since.
This is a great look and much closer than what I came up with. I just went with 100% Deimos parts because I could do it all from the 1 shipyard and they seem to have the best cowling pieces.
Awesome, awesome ship. Slightly tweaked mine, removed that deck with the 3x1 so the whole ship sits lower on the ground (need to move the engines back 1 and down to attach between the landers) and changed the cargo around a bit but otherwise built to plan and looks amazing.
Love that you built it without mods. However, I do run modded and there's one out there that adds working Firefly engines that I can use instead of the (largely) decorative ones. Next all I gotta do is make a mod renaming some of the unnamed ship crew you can hire and boom. Firefly: The Videogame. :)
Loved the show, but I never liked the chicken shaped ship! Even tho I hate the design of the ship, I am very impressed by your recreation of it... it even looks way better than orginal! Good job!

Amazing build. Getting a sub for that. For these builds it would be so great if you showed how you made the ship buildable by getting all the needed proprietary parts to your landing pad at outpost. Assuming you took a basic ship design and hopped from city to city sticking the necessary parts as you went. Then just start from scratch back at the outpost. Also a snap shot of the statistics would be great as well. Would like to know how it performs on paper. Total cost would be great to know as well so I know how long I have to save up before building. I understand commerce traits can change it but most of us will have that maxed out before we can even think about building this thing.
he did state where.. he said all the parts except the hopetech pathways was available at the ship builder you can place at your outpost. theyere were the only parts you needed to source first.

It would be very useful if in the description the unique parts from each specific settlements were listed. Then it would be as simple as going to each of them, slap the unique modules on, then go to the outpost landing pad to do the rest.
I've been trying to understand the ship building system and it's RNG door/hatch placement for hours and it's really messing with my brain. I think I'll be much happier with this one. Ship like this will be with you till the day you die.
Excellent build, looks just like it, but the static interior shots with fades between them make it impossible to get a proper feel for the interior A simple, continuous walk through, even sped up to 2x or 3x speed would have made it much easier to localise each section and figure out how playable it is.
I am doing a full Firefly roll-playing play-through with six characters so far (Mal, River, Simon, Jayne, Shepherd Book and The Operative). Five of them have their own versions of the Firefly class ship Serenity. I am jealous that yours looks better than all of mine. I tried to be realistic to the show with rear entry hatch, a cargo bay, and two seat cockpit (I used the same as yours for all those). All of mine are similar to yours, but just, well, not as sleek. Each is a little different because of factions, quests, different design ideas and the fact that they are all from different universes so not exactly the same (that explains why the Shepherd is still alive to play). I really think this game, with its factions, war history, Freestar Collective, etc. aligns with Firefly so well that it is almost made for this type RPing. Too bad we cannot create our own companions. If we could, I would have the entire crew onboard one Serenity. For obvious reasons, The Operative has his own unique ship. Jayne has a version of the Serenity but since he is a Crimson Fleet man now, after stealing Mal's ship and fleeing, he also has a wonderfully tricked out Ghost IV which is absolutely my favorite ship of all! (All my characters have started with one version or another of the Ghost since they are so easy to come by and very nice ships, in my opinion.)
wound up doing this build this evening, completely tearing down the Frontier(starter ship) after I was rewarded the Star Eagle. I admit, I did make a couple changes, based on personal preference(opted for Nova hab modules instead of a mix of Stroud-Eklund and Taiyo(except for the 1x1s in the outboard engine pods. kept those as Stroud-Eklund), opted for a Nova Magellan cockpit, and went with a different weapons loadout). still, a solid design and build to build up from

The Only thing i could argue is the docking port on captains quarters, otherwise Outsanding job!
