- Griffith Observatory is a world leader in public astronomy and an icon of Los Angeles. This famous landmark is one of the most popular tourist attractions in LA. It features an extensive array of space and science-related displays. The Observatory is located on the southern slope of Mount Hollywood in Griffith Park at 1,134 ft. above sea level. The outside offers a close view of Hollywood sign and a breath-taking panoramic view of the City of Los Angeles.

What a clear day in LA. I used to live just south of Barnsdall park and would jog up over the observatory and mountain top several times each week.

No one has even seen the earth in it’s entirety do anything lol 😂. Great walk through though. I remember the last time I visited like 10 years ago. When I walked out ... it was like walking out of church for the last time thinkin’ “This is all fluff. Made up shit from a group of deciders. They speak...they interpret...we believe? We trust their education, science and interpretations of how it all works and what it all means? We’ve all been fooled. Trust no one. And yes, I’m happy.”
