I love my Canon 250D....takes great photos of wildlife/flowers....etc what I love to take photos of....I wish I could afford the 600mm lens that you have
Interesting vid about osprey watching/photography. I have a Canon 7DMk2 & Sigma 150-600mm C lens which equates to 240mm - 960mm (with a 1.6x crop). 'Fun fact' if you add a 1.4x teleconveter to this setup you'll get 336mm - 1344mm which is great but on the flipside the equivilant aperture will be f11.2 - f14.1. Horses for courses as they say!📷🙂
Great video, need to go to Rutland. I really enjoy car camping too, I drove my Mini Cooper to Albania and back and I slept in it most of the way down. Just push the seat down, lock the doors and sleep away! Good times. Get yourself to Skomer Island in Wales for puffins, this year there were approx. 42,000. I spent 3 days on the Island last year and had a blast. I came away with loads of photos, still yet to edit them all/ You also have Bempton Cliffs in Yorkshire which is cool, where I first saw them. You'll never forget your first puffin. Also, there's Lunga off the Isle Of Mull, I went this year and it didnt dissapoint, I never get bored of puffins. Hope you get to see them next year - they've all gone back out to sea now, you might see the odd one or two, but best time to view is April > July when they're flying back to nesting sites.
Thank you for the feedback, it's genuinely really helpful. I always debate whether I need the upbeat background music to help people get vibing lol but it's good to hear I don't all the time
Lovely video Toby, beautiful photographs, but without a doubt the best way to get to know places is in this way, thanks for these videos!! The only thing I don't like is the peanut butter and honey sandwich, I prefer a cheese and ham sandwich.😆😄
Nice one Toby, nice to get a tour of Rutland water. Incidentally I only live about 40 miles from Rutland but have never been down there to photograph the Ospreys. I did however photograph my first Ospreys in Aberdeenshire this year and its a place I will also be heading back too! 👌👌👍👍
Good video man, I wish I had the patience to make videos like this. Which hide would you say was the best for ospreys then? If you had 1 more day to spend there but could only choose 1 hide for the entire day, which one would it be? Thinking of going there myself
The visitor center at the nature reserve was the best for the osprey being there consistently and not on the nest, and I'd say for this time of year the best place to see them flying around, the other great one is the hide at lyndon looking over manson bay at the nest, the shallow water hide, it is so cool watching them come back and eat the fish they've caught
I like to talk to my audience (you guys) as if you are with me, you'll notice throughput all my videos I use the same plural terms when it's just me, but I can see how it's misleading :)

Haha Snap! Tank you for sharing those numbers, the crop does help us wildlife photographers out!

Thank you so much for sharing, I can't wait to visit these places and take photos of them!
Good vid - but you REALLY don't need the background music!

I'm glad you're enjoying them! It is such a freeing way to travel and I can't get enough of it 😆

Hi Toby, you keep referring to 'we' and 'us', are you not travelling alone?
I like to talk to my audience (you guys) as if you are with me, you'll notice throughput all my videos I use the same plural terms when it's just me, but I can see how it's misleading :)
Hi Toby, i saw you had to purchase a permit. Why, and how much was it please?
You have to buy a permit for parking and using the hides for the day, it is £7.50 for an adult and this covers both reserves and parking for the day.
@@TobyWoodPhoto thanks Toby
