I wan wondering for some advise. I’m looking to upgrade from my 80d, I’m wondering if it would be better to go to a mirrorless knowing I’d need to get an adapter for my ef lenses because the extra cost of mirrorless I won’t be able to get a new rf lens or would it be better to stick to a dslr and get a 6d mk 2?

Loved the comedy Nate brought to this video. The gestures, looks and the camera cuts worked really well, got a good couple of chuckles from me. And although the video doesn't go in a lot of details...it was a nice demonstration of a good secondhand purchase because wow do those mics sound good. Lastly: I love MPB! Trustworthy, reliable and a great selection of bodies, lenses and accessories.

eBay can be ok if you are super careful. There are shops who sell on there who offer warranties. I have also bought from private sellers but only if they put up very good photos, lots in the description and are willing to answer questions. Also if you want film gear, then options are limited as a lot of the shops like MPB don't (as far as I know) sell film cameras. I've probably been lucky with eBay to be honest.

I buy all my gear second hand. MPB, eBay, Wex, Park Cameras. I've bought from all of them. 😊. I've also sold gear to MPB and on eBay

How did you mount it on a tripod. What screw is needed to fix the tripod collar to the tripod?

But is it that safe to go outside in this kind of weather with the camera? I have the same model and I'm afraid of the smallest gusts of wind.

What happened to the canon 250d camera?

Certain robins are tamer than others, some will fly away if you step in their direction and others are tame enough to feed from your hand, Im lucky enough to have one of these at my local park so I often get lovely close ups of it. Excellent photos 👍

What a difficult challenge but you both approached it with lots of zest and gusto and most importantly you both look like you enjoyed it.

I like a tele zoom for more landscapy (is that a word!) photos 😁. Normally I use my trusty 24-105mm on my full frame DSLR, but the other weekend, I went out to Avebury near where I live with my APS-C DSLR and my EFS 55-200 zoom. I took some cracking shots

I have a squirrel "Family"I found 1 then one more stopped by & so forth. They really become family! Recently, a fuly black squirrel was sitting by my front door .He is really shy, afraid...the others are not fond of him .I found a little info , They apparently are rare? Toby, Your Canon 7D has a crop factor of 1.6, which means you are actually using an equivalent focal length of 480mm, which is quite a lot!! In Zak's case the same, except the D5100 has a factor of 1.5, Cheers

Do all sigma lens need calibrating ? I've heard it can be a real stuff around. I couldn't be bothered with it. Give me something that works properly the first time. Not a smart ass comment, it's a genuine concern as I would like a 150-600 but I don't want to be messing around with it.

I find your comment about stabilisation mode 2 (around 8:23) a bit confusing. This mode allows it to keep horizontal movements smooth BECAUSE it doesn't bother with stabilisation of horizontal movements, right? Only the vertical, up and down, movements are stabilised Because otherwise it will try to correct your horizontal panning and you will get jolty movements. EDIT: like the video btw. Very informative and easy to grasp. Tells me everything I need to know and I have put it on my wishlist.

Nice overview of the lens, Toby. One of the biggest issues that some folks have with the Sports version of the lens is that it is significantly heavier than the Contemporary, coming in at 2860 g (over 1000 g heavier) which, according to one of my friends, makes it extremely difficult to handhold and/or carry about for long periods of time.

i've been getting into wildlife photography lately, using that same lens, I started by looking at Simon's channel- its so nice to also find a channel that talks about the "emotions" of photography, you got yourself a new follower!

Yeah it's great to have some sun, had a couple of nice afternoon walks with the camera this week, out until sundown. Love your low Robin shots, and Ducks are beautiful birds, nicely captured. ATB MMMD

Fellow photographer here robins are one of my favourite birds to photograph mostly because there so BRAVE!. On a couple of occasions I’ve got them on my hand! With a bit of seed!.

i recenty bought one,far from being a pro ,bought cannon t7 awhile ago,i am impressed with it.taken shots 30-40 yards away of squirrels running on wires,you can clearly see droplets off its back and on nearby cedar leaves ,and falling rain.handheld,and clearly make out eye in sports mode [multi shot],moon shots decent but loses a little detail of craters,not much to see city area.rarely get chromatic distortion even shooting top branches of large trees,winter shots [no leaves grey background],none when sunny.just ordered 55-250 is,after yours and other reviews,for the versatility.

The conclusion is that the 75-300mm lens with costs 249€ don't worth to buy it because the photos don't be sharped and focused!

I got this lens as a kit when I got the 7T ..... for the price of it I think it is great value for starting out.... I have now included a Sigma 150-600 mm and am having fun learning it's range and features.... Keep up the Great Work Toby as I really enjoy your videos and you are an inspiration to myself and others I am sure...
