I watched your video today about the existence of security inspection equipment. According to my search, violent people carried explosives to carry out suicide attacks in downtown areas/vegetable markets 15 years ago. The local government conducts inspections of metal & explosive items to ensure that tourists and locals I think it is a good method for personal safety. I like where the flight will be at 10 o'clock in the morning tomorrow.@@Alan_and_Shannon

Love the piece. The food you enjoyed first is the probably the most famous Xinjiang dish. It’s called 手扒饭,could be loosely translated as hand pulled lamp rice. The food in Xinjiang relies on species rather than cooking techniques. So most food cooked in simple way. We do this dish in the States many times because it’s easy to make for parties and exotic to most people. Creating an impression.
You mix the lamb chunks with cumin and light sauté them. Enough cumin is the key.
Put diced onion, carrots, raisins, rice and mix with the lamp. Water to rice 2:1, some salt, then cover and simmer. It usually takes 15 minutes. Done.
By the tradition, you need to use your hand to eat this dish. That is what the name of the dish comes from.
Of course no one do that nowadays.
This dish actually is for the lazy people.

Salty eggs are suppsed to be eaten with lots of rice so that a tiny bit can help you eat a big chunk of rice (best with porridge), very economic to get filled up.

The egg you ate is definitely not an ostrich egg, which is much bigger. Shannon was some kind of bird in her previous life, so she can't be blamed for the egg aversion. You should try mixing juice with cola soda. You can dilute it with water as needed if you need to drink more water for hydration.

This is just another version of Disneyland. All neat, clean, shiny, and pretty much phony-baloney when you consider all that lies beyond the tourist traps. It's nice for a fun vacation, maybe, but North Korea has nice places too. And they don't even TRY to be nice.

The size of that egg doesn't look like ostrich eggs, which are MUCH bigger. It might be a goose egg or swan egg? although swan eggshells are typically more grey/brown-ish.

From the price list, it seems that you are eating goose eggs. Ostrich eggs are more than 5 times larger than goose eggs. I heard that they taste fishy, and most people don't like them.
