  • Xinjiang, an autonomous territory in northwest China, is a vast region of deserts and mountains. It's home to many ethnic minority groups, including the Turkic Uyghur people. The ancient Silk Road trade route linking China and the Middle East passed through Xinjiang, a legacy that can be seen in the traditional open-air bazaars of its oasis cities, Hotan and Kashgar.

Xinjiang's natural beauty is world-class, but years ago even people from other parts of China did not dare to travel to Xinjiang, because Xinjiang had suffered many indiscriminate terrorist attacks on civilians. Thanks to the joint efforts of the local people and governments to crack down on terrorists and their organizations, Xinjiang has now been free from terrorist attacks for nearly 10 years. A large number of tourists from all over the world began to flood into the beautiful Xinjiang again.

Whether they want tobparticipate in the commercial side of tge old city us another thing. Butbthey can always choose tonusecthe exusting premise for income and live outside the town
Still within the quarters, there are quieter sections.
I believe one reason for widening the streets was also to provide better access for safety first responders services

Please note that foreigners, especially, must see this information, because it is very important for you to understand China, Xizang and the West's smear and falsification of China's history. Firstly, let me tell you the difference between the Republic of China and the People's Republic of China. The Republic of China was a government group mainly composed of warlords and slave owners, led by Chiang Kai shek. During the period of the Republic of China from 1912 to 1948, over 92% of Chinese people were slaves of warlords and slave owners. In order to resist the enslavement and oppression of the warlord government of the Republic of China, a group of teachers, students, workers, and farmers led by Mao Zedong and other Communist Party members formed a team to resist the oppression of warlords and slave owners, called the Workers' and Peasants' Red Army, which is now the name of the People's Republic of China army: the People's Liberation Army. The Communist Party's army is composed of workers, farmers, and students. The army led by Mao Zedong, consisting of workers, farmers, students, and teachers, and the army led by Chiang Kai shek, consisting of warlords, slave owners, and some capitalists, engaged in a 28 year civil war struggle. In the end, the army led by Mao Zedong, consisting of workers and farmers, achieved victory and drove the warlords and slave owners led by Chiang Kai shek to Taiwan. Mao Zedong established the People's Republic of China, which was founded on October 1, 1949. This historical background is very important.
The People's Republic of China, led by workers and farmers, resisted the oppression of warlords, landlords, and evil gentry. In the end, the Republic of China was driven to Taiwan, and The Communist Party, workers, and farmers led by Mao Zedong achieved victory . When you understand that the Communist Party led by Mao Zedong, the founder of the People's Republic of China, was a political party of workers and peasants, while Chiang Kai shek, the leader of the Republic of China, was a warlord and slave owner government that oppressed and enslaved the Chinese people, you will know that the Chiang Kai shek warlord slave owner group, which was driven to Taiwan by the Chinese people, was anti communist. This is also in line with the Western anti communist intentions. Therefore, Taiwan and the West united to lie and smear the Communist Party in Western media, which has caused many foreigners to have deep misunderstandings and distorted their understanding of China.
The Chinese army liberated Xizang in 1951. Note that it is important here: Before Xizang was liberated by the PLA in 1951, they were all slaves. This historical background is very important. They are all slaves. It is the people's army composed of workers and farmers led by the Communist Party: the People's Liberation Army, which has saved the people of Xizang and Xizang. All the people here have been saved from the oppression and enslavement of slave owners from generation to generation. Before the Communist Party came to Xizang and Xizang, the people here were all slaves of the slave owners. After the Communist Party liberated Xizang and Xinjiang, the people here were saved from the slavery of the slave owners. The Communist Party helped the people of Xinjiang and Tibet to plow and build roads together. The Communist Party gave farmland and other fields to Xizang and the people of Xinjiang. They have shared the land and obtained the land resources that can feed their families. In addition, the Communist Party and the people in Xizang have worked together to build roads and cultivate fields, which has won the support of the people of Tibet and Xinjiang. If someone has a deep understanding of Xizang, especially the older generation of Xizang's elderly and old families, you can also see that their homes are hung with "Mao Zedong" photos. Because they regarded Mao Zedong as a bodhisattva who saved the world.
Many elderly people in Xizang have a head portrait of Mao Zedong. There are also many local folk songs of Xizang and Xinjiang, which are songs of thanking Mao Zedong. Why should we thank Mao Zedong? Because Mao Zedong let the Chinese army liberate Xizang in people in Xizang. The Tibetan people are no longer slaves, but the masters of the country. The PLA and the people in Xizang in Xinjiang built roads together, and distributed land to the people of Xizang in Xinjiang. The people thanked Mao Zedong. In Western media, it is all about smearing and reversing historical facts. The biggest villain is the Kuomintang of the Republic of China. This group of people is a vested interest group that oppresses and enslaves the people. They are warlords, landlords, and evil gentry who have oppressed the Chinese people for generations. It was Mao Zedong who led the Communist Party and saved the Chinese people. Therefore, Mao Zedong is like a bodhisattva and savior in the hearts of the Chinese people. Without Mao Zedong, there would be no Chinese people today. Hope, foreigners, if you are fortunate enough, you must purchase a set of "Selected Works of Mao Zedong" on Taobao. This set of books used to be the best-selling book in the world, so be sure to buy both Chinese and English versions because it is convenient for foreigners to read the content clearly. We can better understand the CPC and China's past, and better expose the Western smear on China. Thank you very much for reading it. We look forward to more foreigners coming to China for in-depth investigation and research. Finally, a reminder to foreign friends: Do not believe the rumors and smears about China spread by Western media and certain Chinese media on platforms such as RUclips, Twitter, and Facebook. They are all bad people who have been driven away by the Chinese people, and most of them are descendants of warlords, landlords, and evil gentry.

Many Uyghurs in the largest cities of Xinjiang like Kashgar can speak two or three different languages as schools there now teach not only Uyghur but also Mandarin Chinese (putonghua) and English - as the "lingua franca" (common language) of international business. Trilingual and multilingual Uyghurs are becoming more common among the young - as are Chinese youths in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, etc as the Chinese Government recognizes that these are invaluable tools for their people in an increasing multi-polar world of the future.
Many years ago, I met an Australian medical doctor who was sending his two teenage sons to be educated in Japan and then, Taiwan. When asked for his reasons, he replied, "the future is in Asia and I want them to have a good headstart in education to be ready for that." It was farsighted planning and I admired that doctor for it as not many people have such a foresight.
China is doing the same as well for its young people. It won't happen overnight as learning a different language is not something that can be accomplished quickly especially the older you get, the harder it becomes. It is also a practiced "art" - and one will need to be speaking to many people in normal conversation to be able to have a grasp of the nuances of the language. Being in a predominantly Mandarin Chinese speaking country, such opportunities are not always available outside school. This is why you will most likely meet young people able to speak several different languages than the elderly and why a lot of young Chinese who are learning English, will try to practice it when they come across a foreigner for any of the English-speaking countries.

Peace, tranquility, harmony and unity removes the U.S. from their ability to make mischief in creating conflicts and wars.
In 1979, Iranian Ayatollah Khomeini identified the United States of America as "the Great Satan, the wounded snake". He was not wrong, from what the rest of the world has witnessed over the past 40 years of U.S. behaviour in the Middle East and in the United Nations (eg the UN General Assembly that an overwhelming majority called for an end to the trade embargo on Cuba to allow its economy to flourish, the number of times the U.S. used its veto powers to knock down any peace proposals in Gaza, and on and on - which demonstrates that the U.S., in its hypocrisies, constantly speaks about peace but has been at peace for only 16 years out of its 300 years of existence since 1776 when some 284 years of those years have been involved in conflicts and wars in some form or another).

Hi, I’m a Glaswegian Chinese living in Hong Kong. I was just searching for videos on Northern Xinjiang (which I just visited during the first week of July) cos I still miss the place, but stumbled across your channel. Kashgar looks absolutely amazing and you folks looked wonderful in the Uyghur costumes. I’ll definitely be back to Xinjiang to visit Kashgar sometime, but I wanted to say when I was in Xinjiang, I found that the Kanas area and Hemu Village were also very beautiful and for the first time in decades I actually found loads of Thistle (our Flower of Scotland.. yay!) growing all around the village and in the restaurant we visited, they had wooly tartan as table cloths. Hemu and Kanas also reminds me so much of Scotland too with its mountains, rivers and countryside. It’s definitely taken up a place in my heart. It’s sooo good to hear your accent as well! Thanks for sharing your vid and have an awesome time exploring Asia!

Remember, just because it’s 21:50, in, say, US standard, it is actually only 18:50 where you were. Why? You were about four time zones over by distance.
The mom wanted the boy to come out to interact with you two, but the boy said he can’t speak English so he was afraid to come out.

Stereotyping people is one of the worst of attitudes to adopt towards any people - like imagining that all Muslims dress exactly like one imagine them to in strict Islamic societies like Saudi Arabia (ie the hijab, the niqab, the jilbab, the abaya, the thobe, the jalabiyah, skull caps, etc, etc) everywhere. Go visit countries like Malaysia and Indonesia (the largest Islamic country on Earth) and you will see a complete mix of traditional and modern clothing as are different foods - halal and non-halal.

Thank you so much! I’m a Londoner and have believed in the lies and propaganda from the West until a few years ago. My brother & sister-in-law in HK this month are going to N Xinjiang and I have never been to China. They loved the province and have gone to S Xinjiang last year. He’s been on the Silk Road numerous times. I will go with them next time and I am learning Mandarin 😂. In November I will visit Southern China first. China is so big and has 54 ethnic groups. Uyghurs are one of the 5 main groups but I think a lot of them have moved away for work in other provinces. I’d love to visit Tibet and Inner Mongolia as well.
Minds, like umbrellas and parachutes, they don’t work unless they are open.

Its fate that you are travelling in China. To see the same kid twice in two provinces thousands of miles apart is soo unbelievable!

I think you misunderstood the situation….. the kid knows them through another short-form video social media platform called KuaiShou. He watched the content where this couple traveled to GuangZhou. This is the kid’s first time meeting them in person.

This is embarrassing. A Chinese myself but have little understanding of Mandarin or writing The characters. A situation I'm trying to rectify.😅

    非常棒的照片,太漂亮了,不得不说女士的传统服装让人看着简直是惊艳,无与伦比。维吾尔风情街道太浪漫了。

Greeting from Peru. Kashgar was absolutely amazing, I visited there, back in 2021, and had the similar feeling as you guys, the time difference from mainland China, beautiful streets, delicious food, friendly people, all of which make it the best traditional town in China in my opinion. Glad you had a wonderful experience there.

The child saw your video in Kwai (another tiktok in China), so he recognized you at the first sight, so he was very excited at the first time.😊
