Hey Barry, I think it's way better when you don't count oil/water/S+P and similar things as ingredients. I think it's safe to assume that people have oil, water and basic seasoning :) That way you "ram flavour", as you'd put it, into the food!
Water, oil, salt and pepper seems fine. Just don't take it too far. Some channels pull rediculous stuff out of their pantries and are like "of course everyone has [....]. " And I am like "Yeah, sure... "
What is the pink liquid at the dentist? Chlorhexidine Chlorhexidine has powerful antibacterial properties, and can be especially helpful in maintaining a healthy mouth after a teeth deep cleaning procedure such as tooth scaling and root planing. This rinse also helps to control and kill the bacteria in your mouth that cause gum disease.
This confused me so much because I was like: I have never seen the pink water. But I have an allergy to chlorahexadine so that is probably why I have never seen it. My dentist gives me normal water to flush with.
What I think would be very fun is to do like, X meals with X ingridents. Basically take a group of ingridents, then using only those ingridents, make multiple meals, sides and ideally desserts. For example, if you did pumpkin as an ingrident, very easy to do a soup, some roast pumpkin side, maybe do some pumpkin ravoli for main then pumpkin pie for dessert. Basically, show the variety that could be done if for example, you got a good deal on a few items.
Tip for the pasta, stir it in the pot you cooked the pasta in. The heat from the pan will help melt it down :) You can also create the sauce by stirring in the cheese and water in the pan and simply heating it up. Put the pasta back in, mix and boom.
A 3 ingredient video? It's like the universe is giving me a gift, this has made my morning! Time to relax and binge-watch this whole playlist again. Thank you so much for another wonderful video!
Love your videos, you've upgraded me from a guy who never thought he could cook to someone who instantly goes to the kitchen anytime I want a snack. I make the snack myself to be clear, not reaching for something from the pantry.
Yum, great, great video!! I do my beets in a pressure cooker, 20 minutes to cut down the time and the skins slide right off. That was truly a very interesting dip, have to give it a try. How about posting Mrs B's Yorkshire pudding recipe.
There is a restaurant in Pimlico, London called Cacio & Pepe and as you can guess its their signature dish. A rich creamy sauce and tons of pepper all served in a mini cheese wheel of parmesan.

Love your videos. I teach English in a catering school in France and told all my students to subscribe to your channel because of how good your content is. Love the enthusiasm and how you motivate people to try new things. Keep it up :)
Been making cacio e pepe for a while now and my favourite recipe is from Marion’s Kitchen where she adds Szechuan peppercorns as well as back peppercorns and pecorino cheese. Szechuan pepper corns are amazing as they add a fruity taste but also make your tongue all tingly, and are so delicious! Definitely even tastier than any other cacio e pepe I’ve ever made. So if you like that version Barry you’d love Marion’s!
Maybe it was you who made this pun but i liked it very much. It goes: Do not use Old Tella only Nutella . Hope you and the family are all keeping well.
Right now I've had about 5 barathons (giant foods, kitchen gadget testing, hack testing, 4x3 recipes and mini foods . Lol 😂😂 I watch this channel way too much
Good video. I peel beets by boiling them on the stove until cooked. Then drain, put into cold water & the beet peel comes off in the water as you simply peel the beet.
I made a dish similar to the cheese and pepper pasta but using Parmesian as it was what I had on standby, it was also delicious! Cheese and pepper is just a great combination. :)
Barry - since you liked this pasta so much you've GOT to try Spaghetti Carbonara! It's one of the best pasta dishes I've ever tried. Talk about lush! 😋😋
Cacio e pepe is one of my favorite foods. My favorite thing to do is serve it with a sausage dish that I don't know what it is called, but it's Italian Sausage, I use hot, split in half, browned in a pan and then roasted in the oven with tomato slices and fresh mozzarella on top of it, sometimes I add fresh basil between the tomato and mozzarella. The cacio e pepe serves as a wonderful pasta base, which I also just sometimes eat by itself, and the sausage, tomato, and mozzarella are your main dish and blend wonderfully into the cacio e pepe.
I think, Barry, that you might have just shown me a way with beetroot that I can eat without gagging. That looked awesome, and I'm definitely giving that pasta a go, as well. A tiny slosh of truffle oil on top would probably kick that into the middle of next week. I'll pass on the scones, as I hate nutella with a passion, and the drink, too, as I don't really like sweet things anymore - I'm not moaning - they both looked great, but not my sort of thing. Good work, fella!
I would say oil and those kind of things are more of an accessory to a good recipe, rather than an ingredient, so I wouldn't worry :) I understand your theory, but I'm sure people will have that to spare, all looks delish 😍
I highly recommend cacio e pepe but the method I know appears to be easier to get together. Serious Eats has the write up and video, but basically: Cook pasta in as little water as possible so it's got the most starch in it Heat oil in a pan and grind lots of pepper into it. Let the pepper infuse into the oil and mellow out. Toss cooked pasta and grated cheese into the pan. Add pasta water as required, stirring it over the heat to help the sauce emulsify Eat it all because you can't stop yourself.
Is lemonade normally carbonated in the UK? Cuz when you said lemonade I was thinking of that non-carbonated lemon water and sugar drink that looks yellow usually
Dear Barry, It's been quite a while since I've seen your videos. WoW, you've evolved! As a cook (chef!!!!), and as a vid host. Congrats on all your achievements! I'll be watching more regularly from now on. BTW, what the h-ll does 'stonkin' really mean??? 💋😎👀

Hey I was curious a couple of video's ago you mentioned products getting less filled eg" Nutella so I opened a new one recently in Canada and that baby is full to the top. Perhaps the distributers where you live are getting a bit greedy? Just thought I'd let ya know. Have a great day and as always great video!
I feel it's more like just getting smaller. Candy bars have gotten smaller and some containers as well, e.g ice cream used to come in 1/2 gallons but now comes in 1 1/2 quart containers instead (at least in the states.)
Can anyone tell me if the “lemonade” is seltzer water i.e. carbonated water? I’m a little confused about that. I’m in the US, and lemonade here is tap water, lemon juice, and sugar.
Hello, lemonade is lemon flavoured soda, usually clear in colour. That's what Sprite and 7up are, lemonades. You can find the traditional lemonade in the UK (and here in Australia as well) but it's not common. When I was in the Museum of Natural History in London, I had a lovely lunch from the cafe there that sold traditional lemonade (it was very nice lemonade too).
Wouldn't the scones have been better made with soda water, instead of lemonade, if you were using Nutella? Just can't imagine that bit of lemon tasting good with Nutella?
One of my favorite wedding cakes was a lemon cake with lemon curd filling in a chocolate ganache. It was amazing and I can still taste it 15 years later.
@@Sethonious ok never tried lemon and chocolate. Just orange. But still the nuttyness of it still makes me think I wouldn't like it. Just wondering if soda water would do the same too or if it has to be a sweet soda??
When you say “lemonade” you should probably specify that it’s what you mean by “lemonade” in the UK; many of your American viewers are probably really confused by why you’re putting in lemon soda like Sprite or 7-Up instead of actual lemonade. :)
