Thanks! We try to use all the functions to get the most from the Ninja Foodi. I love the steam function for vegetables-its a little bit of a learning curve to get the times down but so worth it. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Thanks Lisa for the video! My favorite steak is Ribeye and medium rare with salt and pepper only! It looks really good but I think you are right about using the BBQ for a great crust and caramelization on such a beautiful steak! Thanks Again! "Rische pronounced like Rishy" I think I will get a NF because it is so versatile.
I knew I was going to mispronounce your name- sorry😞. It really is versatile and summer is coming- you won’t heat up your kitchen as you would with a regular oven. There are some great RUclips channels for recipes and also you can use instant pot recipes in the Ninja Foodi as well. Oh and it travels well on vacations.
Right after removing the steak, use a butane or propane torch to flame a nice crust on the edges. You'd be hard pressed to think it wasn't done on the grill.
It still looked really good even not on the grill. Could you have seared/sautéed it first for even more caramelization? That was great of you to test it out for a viewer.
That is a great idea! Another steak video using sear saute then broil or air crisp to finish! I love comments and ideas from this great community of people. Thank you Pamela Shepard! Ribeyes are on sale this week-will be picking up a few more.
I tried the pressure settings on a steak and it came out tasting like a roast. Now I use the air fry, preheat for 5 min or so with the metal basket. Now this is where it gets tricky. It depends on how thick your steak is. I start out at 390 and cook 1/2 thick steak for 3-5 min. Then turn it over and turn the temp. down to about 330 and continue to cook. After about 3 min or so I plate the steak and check the temp. I get a better reading on the temp. gage If the steak is out of the foodi. Sometimes you got to let it cook a little longer. I am looking for 140-145 % Pull the steak out and cover for 5 to 10 min. to get to med. cooked steak. Again you have to adjust the time and temp. for the size of your steak. And how you like it.
I love my Foodi, & now I wouldn't want to be without it.Cheers Nisa or Lisa ?, for doing that video. I thought I could do it on the grill function now I know I can. Sorry Broil to you.
lol-I love mine too! It's Lisa-need speech lessons-lol. I use it at home, I take it on vacation and to friends houses to show them that the NF is a great little machine. Next time I do a video using the broil functionI'll be sure to say for the Scottish viewers its the grill function-lol. Thanks!
@@pressurecrisp We Scots are getting more Americanised , so aye you need to do your duty LOL. The Americans are our cousins after all, so nae getting out of it cuz lol :P :D
Hey just the tip if you like Smoky flavored or grill taste you could have put a little Liquid Smoke on that steak and it probably would have turned out even better than it already did it would give you the outdoor taste
I've been recently watching your videos and quite enjoy them. Do you plan on getting the new Ninja Foodi Grill? I have the Ninja Foodi and just bought and received the Grill, but haven't opened the box yet. I've been watching the few YT grilling videos from ppl who have the new Grill first.
Thank you. Open that box and start grilling! I am thinking of getting grill-it does look very nice and quite useful as winter is right around the corner and it would be great to have something to use to grill indoors. I have admit I haven't watched any Ninja grill videos as of yet. I'll look into grill. Thank you for watching and commenting.
It may-I haven't tried it. Or you could make a marinade or brushing sauce. I have to admit I never marinade a steak but would consider brushing on a marinade/sauce. I may have to try what you suggested with a small steak just to see if it would work. In theory it may work. Thanks BAHB420!
To the Subscriber Request- I PROMISE you that once you purchase a Ninja Food, you will be spoiled rotten. I use it for Lisa's Whole Chicken Recipe; The Salted Pepper's Beef Stew and Meat Loaf recipes (on Facebook) which are mistake-proof. I use the AIR CRISP function for Ore-Ida Crispers Fries. The possibilities are endless. I also say a very special THANK YOU to Lisa, Pressure Crisp, who goes above and beyond the call of Ninja Duty to accommodate her subscribers, demonstrating that the Ninja Foodi stands out and stands alone. God bless you, Lisa!:)
You have the Foodi? I thought I did a comparison video-maybe I did and when my computer failed/broke maybe I lost the footage. Broiling a steak and air crisping are pretty close in. caramelization and color. I will have to do a comparison video soon. Thanks David!
OK - Last night I broiled a beautiful steak in the Ninja Foodi. While the Ninja is reputed as THE only needed kitchen appliance, I beg to differ. Lisa did a great job of demonstrating a successful Ninja-broiled steak, I found that it carmelized beautifully on the outside but the inside (after 13-15 min)was still too raw. Steaks belong on the grill or in the oven. So a message to the subscriber request, if the steak is the only thing holding you back from purchasing a Ninja, that is poor excuse. The Ninja is ideal for most foods but like everything else, one must pick N choose what they cook. I wouldn't heat soup in a Ninja but that doesn't mean the Ninja fails its delivery for other delicious foods. So, please go out and purchase the Ninja and enjoy its many other features!
I have been having good luck with a ribeye in the Foodie 6.5. I think I did 5 minutes per side on crisp. Since then I bought a digital thermometer so I will not be guessing. I love the NF. I keep putting it away and as soon as I do, I get it back out. My only complaint is the large space it occupies.it wont fit in my cabinet, not even under.
I love that you use other foodi functions than pressure cook and air crisp. Thank you.

I just cut a bagel in half, buttered, and broiled it in the Foodi for 7 minutes.... BEAUTIFULLY golden!!
You doing a great job keep up the good work! Thanks for all the info❤❤
Thank you! I really appreciate it! And thank you for watching and commenting!

Will give a try thanks Zoll!
I like mine medium-rare as well I did mine 8 minutes each side on the air crisp function and tested with the food thermometer at 135f perfect
She’s correct not going to taste like a grill flavored, but the moist tender re: the steak 🥩 is fantastic worth buying a Ninja Foodi my opinion 😋
I love my Ninja Foodi-I agree steaks are moist and flavorful. Thanks for watching and commenting.

I like my steaks well done, no pink and the steak does not dry out. I was very surprised.
That’s great that the steaks stays moist. Thanks for letting me know.

Thanks for the tip Don. Just ordered Wright’s liquid smoke. Thanks!
You are welcome
That’s the only thing I never got on with on the ninja foodi the grill function
Dis you have issues with the broil function?
I love the Ninja Foodie too but the only way to cook a steak indoors is on Cast Iron Pan
Have to agree but sometimes the Foodi is just easier. Thanks Paul Yoda! Maybe I’ll do a steak on a cast iron in the Ninja Foodi.
Good luck it will smoke like crazy.
@@sabotage3d not if you use correct oil
Use a little liquid smoke
Great tip!
I marinated my ribeye steak with liquid smoke for one hour at room temperature before broiling in my Ninja Foodi.
Lisa Craycraft I’m going to try this. I ordered Wright’s liquid smoke. Thanks for the tip!

What would be your recommended cooktime for a London broil medium well on broil setting ninja foodie? Thanks in advance
Would putting liquid smoke at the bottom of the pot give it some smoky flavor?

Did cooking the steak this way make your kitchen smokey?
It maybe smoked a little. Thanks srh454!
If you use steak dust on your steak it will make your tongue jump up and slap your brain!!! But awesome video, thank you!
hehehe...Guess I will be trying steak dust-for my tongue to slap my brain its gotta be great! Thanks John!
Can you make cheese curds? your videos always make hungry. Ninja foodie is $149 at Sam's club.
Thanks! Cheese curds would be great in the Ninja Foodi! I think they are on sale until June 2nd.
its not 10 minutes, its 15 for steak
flip at 7.5 minutes
Depends on how you want it cooked Kevin-everyone likes their steaks cooked to a different temp-Thanks Kevin!

Where are you from? I kn ow in the UK it will say Grill. And I think Ninja Kitchen made a smaller version of the foodi that does have it-:(.
Pressure Crisp hi love it says bake roast , i used that function and my roast came out tougher than Bruce Willis lol ❤️😘
Pressure Crisp yes I’m in Uk ❤️
@@missh9053 Use the Grill function same as broil. One of my other viewers from the UK informed me.
