Amazing mod! Definitely going to download this, as I absolutely hate the DTG 350 sounds. By the way, at 8:23, will you be able to do this as a separate mod for AC power too? As back in the Silverlink/Early LM days they had these exact motor sounds too. I recommend watching agdenyer if you want to try this.
@@bongman123 Something to do with the pulsing. Maybe the older pulsing of the 350 motors lead to poorer acceleration? This is actually the opposite for other desiros like the Class 444. The older pulsing of the 444 actually lead to quicker acceleration compared to the current one, and I'm not sure why myself.
I think the biggest reason is just because it's really annoying. When you design, you may forget that you never get to hear the fundamental at its actual switching frequency and only double. It's true that really high switching frequencies are useful when there's limited power/torque available as well, which is why the Class 450 uses 1450Hz mode too (heard at 2900Hz).

How long does it take for you to get recordings and then model them into the game? I'm thinking of getting into making SP's myself. Oh and what software do you use if you don't mind me asking?

Higher frequencies just increase the torque opportunity because you get more chances to chop more triangles
They have spot on sounds just the horn seems out of place and the horn I love it
