Alux.com a fake friend is someone I will put in the trash and never recycle.
Well....I don't have any real friends because I have a problem of extreme stuttering to a level I take half a minute to just speak my name. I have some so called "friends" but they only call me when they need something from me. That's the reason I don't approach someone new, and that's what I am worried about, How can I be a Entreprenuer if I don't speak to people.
I tend to attract "wantrepreneurs" and golddiggers. I'm entirely way too regal to tolerate bullshit like that. I look at it this way, and it might seem egocentric, but if you never made over $5,000 in a week and you talk lots of shit, I look at you like a charlatan.
Overall, I am very sociable and positive. If someone had something negative to say about me, its because I don't F with them and they are moved out of my right circle.
My time is much to valuable to deal with posers. Triple F. Fuhkem.
I hv very few friends but most of them aren't qualifying the above list ...

This! I have two kids and my friend only one, yet me and my husband have been baby sitting for countless times. Our kids have only been with her an hour there and there, never alone at night... It is hurtful having to say no, because she never offers to help us out. That is my biggest sign.

I cut off all the fake friends in my life. Rather be alone than around people that smile in my face but hate me in their heart or are envious or jealous of me.
When I look back at my life and the friends that have been around me, I realise they have all been jealous, and all wished me unwell.
The nice friends have got on with their lives but maybe still have friendly feelings towards me. Maybe it is not normal to have friends that are always around but more normal to have friends that are here and there, because they're moving forward with their lives which is more healthy. And the ones that want you available to hang out otherwise they're not your friends, have problems.

I have learned to trust my instinct and go off the vibes that I detect alot more now. I feel we go through certain situations because it is suppose to be a learning experience for us to become the people we are suppose to become. I always try my best to look at the bright side. No matter how negstive a situation is there is always something positive to realize.

I experienced the same thing when my Rose Colored Glasses got slapped off because I was so happy-go-lucky type of person very jovial and I still am for the most part but when I detect toxic people in my midst I'm less friendly and open to discuss my personal life. all they do is take everything you tell them and recycle it 2 tell it to someone else or try to transform it into something horrendous and horrible so that they can make it seem like there's someone special that you have told some type of guarded secret to when it's just you have told them something silly like your pants split in the middle of the day and you had to use staples to fix it until you got home. They'll take that and remix it and at is if you peed or pooed on yourself and was so embarrassed and humiliated, you see where I'm going with this? I don't trust anybody anymore and that's a shame but you have to do it and go on with your life and leave toxic people in the dust immediately! after being dumped on and targeted for so many years I've learned to eject out of the situation so quick that they think I have totally vanished on them and it drives them crazy! It's not intentional I'm just trying to protect myself and my kids as well as my heart because I was bullied as a kid and I have repressed anger that could make me bust somebody up real bad if I'm just letting them run over me and take advantage of me, seriously I just don't want to snap on them, black out and then wake up in handcuffs. 😂😕

I’ve had many fake friends and backstabbers. But I blame myself partially for not picking better friends. You have to open your eyes. Decent people are right in front of you. They may be different from your old friends but that’s ok. And you have to make an effort.
A good friend is very hard to find.
I keep it formal and keep them at arms length. Works just fine for me. I keep a very small circle. Any other way, you could answer your phone with "what do you want ?" I'm not a people person, never have been, but even less now. Most people are phony and only care about me me me.

An easy and fast way to tell they are fake is if they act really nice one on one and try to ask you a bunch of personal questions and then once you are in a group setting they will try to expose you by mocking all the answers you gave them. I noticed a "friend" when i first started college try to do this and I simply kept my answers to a minimum and then I would ask them the same question then I would try build another question based off their answer or come up with another one just in case they try to ridicule me in a group I have something to counter. Usually they will try to subtlety talk shit because they are afraid if they go all the way in the water a shark will come back to bitebtheir ass. And sure enough that "friend" tried it and I immediately responded with humour or with a counter then right after I would see a gulp in his throat and he never tried it again. Sometimes you'll get the omes who are really scared so they will to whisper or say something really low in front of you just low enough so that the person next to them can hear it but not you.
I never ask for help no matter how much I need it cause I do not want to be an inconvenience. People ask me for help and I help them but as far as I can tell no one would help me if I needed it. I think it is cause I am single so everyone thinks I have all the time in the world.

Fake friend is a person who constantly finds chances to ridicule you, view your good habits as bad ones and try their best to bring your level to theirs. They come always in need and rarely give a damn about what's going on in life. Such people deserve the least of the attention and energy. Thanks Alux for such a great video!
When it comes to friends, the important thing to know is that you don't need them. It is nice to have them, but you really don't need them. If you ever feel like you need them, you need to look within, because you may be looking in the wrong place to solve your problem or situation.
She said i was her best friend but she’d often have gatherings and not invite me. Instead she’d tell me about it the next day and let me know how it went. She’d tell secrets I told her. She used me but always reminded me to pay her back.

A fake friend doesn't only mean they put up a smile but then hate you inside. They could just be using you because you make them laugh and they have fun with you. But, if you were bullied they wouldn't stand up for you because they care to much about they're reputation. If something better came along, they would leave you for them. They lie to you. They keep secrets from you. A true friend would stand up for you, they wouldn't lie to you, because friends don't lie. If someone or something better came along they wouldn't throw you away. If you say you don't want to be friends with a fake friend "Okay." They don't really care.

The sad thing is, growing up, I was taught that this 'fake friend' behavior was _normal_ human behavior, and that I was going to emulate it whether I wanted to or not, because I was no better. Thank God for the Internet! There's now been such an explosion of communication and information that I have been able to totally discard the toxic mind-set I was raised to, and I feel so much better for it!
My parents refer to the aforementioned philosophy as being pragmatic in life and not idealistic. Cheers!

#15 is so true.. so many people claim to be your friend until you need something important. You help them but they never want to show the same support you gave them.
That's when they act like its YOU who are always asking THEM for things when its really the other way around.
I've been dealing with #16. 10 years of serious employer induced illness earned me the title of liar, by every single family member and friends. As well as 18 Doctors. 10 years in a bed and not 1 of them walked up my steps. They all said they didn't have time to help me get better, but had plenty of time to run all their mouths to my face and behind my back. 6 surgeries of having my head opened up to remove the infection, and still none of them walk up my steps or try to have positive contact with me, now that I doing better. None of them are interested in fixing the damage they have caused. It has left me in a bad place. No job, no family, no friends, no life. Is a hard way to start life over after 12 years of a nightmare. I pray for a blessing that life will get better every day.

From my personal experience finding true friendship is arduous nowadays. Most people that i know are apathic and self-centered. Life is really drab when you don't have someone to share your thoughts,feelings and worries.

I have met real friends. They've rare, but they do exist. You just have to take care about who you hang out with, and walk away from the takers. One or two good friends are better than dozens of half-assed acquaintances.

Won't steal from you, or try to take away your significant other.
Will accept you, as you are and not try to control you, or fix you, but will try to steer you in the right direction if they think you are making a wrong turn or bad decision in life.
Won't betray you.
Will invite you to major events in their life.
Will share.
They will encourage you.
Will give you advice if you ask for it.
A real friend knows when not to be around you too much, get clingy, whiney or act like a victim and try to dump his problems on you.
If they have a problem with you, they will want to openly talk about it with you, and solve it, instead of keeping a grudge.
Maybe not every friend will have these qualities, and will sometimes let you down, but they also need to treat you with respect, and vice versa.
Everyone needs friends because social interaction is said to be healthy, but the sad thing is is that so many people are fake or toxic. The older you get the harder it gets.
The best way to know a person to be true to your beliefs and say ...No when you disagree with them and see how the react. Works every time.

FFF! This video really resonated with me. There is a particular “friend” in my life that score 15 out of the 16 points in this video. I had a sudden realisation late last year when it occurred to me not only were they a fake friend but the fakeness was fuelled by narcissism too. As soon as the penny dropped I had to set up boundaries and distance myself whilst appearing to be still friendly because you don’t want people like that as enemies. This is the best move I ever made, I feel freer and less anxious. I still have to be careful not too divulge too much of what is going on in my life, esp the positive things, on social media or to other friends who might innocently talk because like you said this person wouldn’t really be happy for me or use it against me in some way. It’s a delicate line to walk but worth it for peace of mind. Thank you for confirming all the doubts I had about this situation. I now know I’ve done the right thing by removing myself away from this toxic relationship. It’s like I emotionally invested in myself to have a brighter and lighter future.

I had a polish friend that we broke up recently because he showed a majority of this list and things weren’t getting better only worse. Betrayal, pretending to help minisculy only so he can work freelance jobs in the US. Spilling secrets, ridiculing me behind my back. I am generally a good hearted person who gives genuine friendship and love and after 7 months of relationship, I realized this person was only interested in his self gain. Eventually got a job and made more money than me and then didn’t stand up for me when I needed it most, told me he didn’t have my back and not to trust him. Also, did a lot of hurt to me when I was needing help as a human being, I feel like I deserve friendship from people that value me and see me as an asset. I only send this out in the universe because I believe in Karma and the need for justice. I have never experienced anything like this or have ever treated anyone like this! I’m still hurt by what happened to me. Now, I’ve learned to only trust in God and myself and to only invest in myself which is probably the best course of action from now on.

My understanding is that the trend is worldwide, including Africa. The latter is a place I no longer recognize. People no longer show empathy and tend to become selfish and wicked.

It's a funny thing about vulnerability.. You open up to people which is taking a chance (I'm not saying it can't pay off) and later they can write a book about you. I don't know if it was a fake ad or what, but it seems a "tell all" book is being written (or is done) about the first lady by her "friend". How's that for a vote of confidence about forming friendships! It is important peeps, to rely on yourself for your basic happiness. It is very smart to be able to derive as much pleasure from nature as possible. Nature is a friend you will always find even if you are in the city. Be happy when you are alone, be your own mother and father and best friend. This is not to say you shouldn't have friends, but I think more and more it is practical to have business relationships as friends as it has risks, but at least can prove fruitful.. Lol. Eventhough I am SLOW to notice these kindsa things, I think I would prolly know what a FAKE FRIEND is when I see one... One person whom I thought was my 'best buddy' that I knew and associated with for at least 15+ years in a row, turned out to be the FAKEST you could ever meet in your life. Back then, I took really good care of his father during his last remaining months prior to his death. He was overburdened with work and everything else going on in his life, so I thought I would just pitch in and help him out. I brought his father food, clothes, supplies, and looked after his daily needs, ect. Basically, all of the things a true friend might do if he knew your family was in need of help and support. After his father finally passed away, I even helped pay for his funeral. Then came the time when MY dad died, this two-faced sonofabitch totally kept away far from me and NEVER even said a single word of condolence, nor did he even give me as much as a phone call. Not even a single phone call! Everything just went QUIET. This was at least a year ago, and he still hasn't showed me that he ever cared! 🙄
